...the SALVATION ARMY, that is...
It was LUV AT FIRST SIGHT...
4 of these CUTE AS CAN BE vintage plates..
I think I can use these BAD BOYS all year 'round, if I want to.
I guess maybe plates with SUNFLOWERS in the dead of winter
could mean either...
1. "O, I can't use THESE with snow on the ground outside"
OR
2. "Man O Man...Snow outside.. ♫♪ baby, it's cold outside...♪♪
so I am gonna pull out my SUNFLOWER plates to warm us all up visually..."
I really do love the colors in these plates..and, I've been in love with SUNFLOWERS all my looong life.
While orange isn't on my favorites list, I think the muted colors here appeal to me.
4 for $2
I read a blog the other day, and I'm not "talking" about anyone..just a mention...that 1 or 2 photos of the same thing was ENUF. She wasn't fond of seeing 4 or 5 of the same thing....
It made me wonder about putting so many photos of the same thing on MY blog..
So sorry...one of the things I really REALLY enjoy about blogging is taking the photos...♥♥
And when I get ready to post them..I have a hard time choosing which and which NOT to use.
Sooo, many times, I guess I do repeat myself....
BUT............I'm having too much fun to stop now.
♥
I have not been doing many tablescapes lately.
Maybe when cooler weather hits, my interest will come alive again.
I have been such a ' BAH HUMBUG SUMMER' kind of gal this summer...I'm sure to perk up and have more energy thru fall and winter.
Ya'll come see me sometime...
I'll have a candle burning for ya....
♥♥♥♥
I picked up some more treasures on this very trip and will save them
SUCH FUN

Girl...repeat, repeat, repeat! I don't mind it at all. Hop over to my blog...I do the same thing! You're fine! Cute Hurricane glass with the corks...love that!
Sunflower plates- I like those~!
I have the same candle holder and usually use coffee beans but your corks are GREAT~!
Lovin' your cute new plates BJ! You just keep doing what you're doing and have fun:@)
I, too, probably put too many pics in my posts but oh well!!! I love taking them too! Your new plates are GREAT! I love the colors and the sunflowers and the PRICE!!!!!!!!!! SUCH A DEAL!!! XO, Pinky
Those plates are very cute - my colors, and what a great price! Yes, you can use them all year round. I love the corks in the hurricane candle, too. xo
Um...can I first say the pictures is what I love about our blogs:) HELLO!!~ In fact sometimes what you miss in one pic, you pic up in a similar one the next view. Put 1,000 up BH, I love em too. Your plates are fantastic, and I too am Huge fan of sunflowers, and love all those colors together, even the orange.
I agree with both you and your 'commenter'. I love reading everyone's blog and the pictures are worth a thousand words. Sometimes there are too many pictures of the same thing but as long as the pictures are different, it's not so bad. What clue tells you these plates are vintage? They look like something from the 70's or 80's. They are pretty, though.
I LOVE seeing your photos, BJ! And you KNOW you would NEVER be able to please EVERYONE, so just keep on havin' fun and doin' it the way YOU enjoy.
Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday each week. You're one of my favorite time travelers. ;)

Great find on the dishes! I also say poopoo to anyone who thinks you have too many pics. I love seeing all your pics and wish I had the patience to post as many as you do! I get bored about halfway through and give up. Love what you did with the corks in the hurricane. How cute is that?! I may be stealing this idea really soon!
Very, very cute plates, and I can surely understand why it was love at first sight, BJ!
XO,
Sheila
Cute plates, and at 50 cents each how can you not give in? I never think you have too many photos, and you make sure and mix them up a little so we aren't seeing the same photo again and again.
Love those plates and love them EVEN MORE since they were such a great find at SA!
Regarding pics.....do not forget whose blog it is in the first place! This is all about YOU! Persoanlly I love every photo you have ever shared! Don't change who YOU are!! That's why we all love your blog so much!
I LIKE your style! Who could walk away from those plates at that price? Thanks for visiting at Buttermilk Cottage and please come back often!
Best,
Susan
I'm a fan of sunflowers, too. These plates are really pretty and will be so versatile all year. Super buy on the them too!!
I like the corks in the candle hurricane. Why, oh why did I get rid of my bag of corks? This is such a cute idea.
I love looking at each of your photos and reading your blog!
I haven't noticed a single 'bah humbug' moment on your blog - you are the cheeriest, most uplifting blogger in Blogdom. If you want to post 100 photos of the things you love, then those of us who love your posts will enjoy them all!
I love the plates - course orange IS one of my favorite colors and I am a HUGS sunflower"freak". I have sunflower paraphanalia scattered through my entire house. So you can imagine that I say "USE THE PLATES 24/7!". Beautiful!!...BTW, I love your photos, as many times over as you want to show them to me.
Hi BJness! Love your little sunflower plates and you just show them any time you want to!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Don't let anyone else's expectations get you down. She can keep to her rules on her blog. ;D
Those plates are wonderful for autumn for sure and I think they'd work all year through as well. Now will you be trying to build up the set if you find more or are four plates enough?
What? You repeat yourself? Seriously? I didn't say anything because I thought maybe early senility was setting in...but NOW that I realize that you do it on purpose...welll...Bwahahaha.
Bj...you just keep doing what you are doing because THAT is why we all keep coming back here. You are a breath of sweet moist air in that desert you call Texas!
Now- I did have to laugh because today you said SALVATION..and my blog title was I SEE THE LIGHT! Guess we were on the same plane today...or not...xo Diana
BJ,
Now, I know our vintage ages may have something amiss to this statement. . .but dear friend, I do say..."The MORE the merrier"! So you just keep shooting and posting those photos of anything @ Sweet Nothings. 'Cause for me Sweet Nothings is Sweet Everything!
I,too, adore Sunflowers...and I'll be watching for many a post with these dishes highlighted and center stage. Keep the inspirations coming!
Fondly,
Pat

Please keep up with what you are doing with the pics. You make me smile every day. If I were with you I would hug you!
I like the way you think, like the cute as can be plates. I love the centerpiece, great idea and one I will borrow if you don't mind. I know the hot dry weather was a bummer and your spirits will soar when the chill is in the air. Have a great day.

Let's see, where to begin?
I love the plates; you got a steal at the Salvation Army.
I love photos and am probably way too guilty of having too many on my own blog. One of the reasons I like blogging is that I love to take pictures too.
And I have been in a big old fat summer slump too. I think it was the drought. We didn't have anywhere near as bad of one as you, but it drained me nonetheless.
And I have been struggling with other droughts as well. Sighing...
And so I love your happy sunflowers, and you can post ten rim shots of the same thing, and I won't complain!
Great plates BJ. Keep doing what you are doing, cuz I love you and your blog style!
Enjoy all yout photos BJ; you are a pro at this; really love that candle with the corks around it.
I prefer to consider myself vintage instead of antique;71 soon!
Rita
How very pretty!! Also I so could listen to your rain music and take a nap!! Thanx for coming to the party!
Technically by most websites...vintage is over 20 years old. But...fab is any date! Neat finds!
Cheers,
R
I like the plates, too. The wine corks around the candle is very warm. Of course, you can be like me and just build a collection without having to buy a bag full. :0
And BJ, the reason I love your blog is that it is so authentic. So, keep bein' you, and use as many photos as your heart desires!
Sharon @ mrshinesclass
I am so so Thrilled to read that you are finally getting rain.
Hugs to you my vintage friend.
Rita
The plates are great and I would definitely use them in the winter! (I'm not a fan at all of cold) And I think vintage is anything older than me. :)
Repeat away. Plates are cute and I like your cork surrounding your candle. I like that idea. Thanks for sharing.
Hello bj, I love your pretty fall plates. Great idea for the corks. You are all about clever my friend. I look forward to seeing the rest of your treasures.
The maze on your previous post is awesome. Very different and fun.
Love you, Jeanne
It's your blog so put as many pictures on as you want. Great find on the plates.
your photos are always beautifully put together. and i'd take a multitude of photos any day of the week over blah, blah, blah wordiness! :)
I know I think we all repeat and peat our pictures LOL
just can't decided which ones are better than any of the others.
and then we are so pround of our new finds or vignette we show lots of pictures
just keep showing lots of pictures and I will keep lookin LOL
We would become great friends I believe. I collect wine bottle corks and display them all. My favorite dish color is green though. However, a Republican and likes
Cain. We think alike. Yah!!!!
I totally adore your polka dotted dishes :) and am completely envious of your massive collection of wine corks! Seems like the ones i generally buy are either replacing the corks with rubber stoppers or just capping the bottles. I should have started saving them a few years back...! xo diane
