The Corn Maze and Cate

The CORN MAZE in Lubbock is
A WORK OF ART....
This year, it is an absolutely amazing rendition of
BUDDY HOLLY
the West Texas boy that made  the song "Peggy Sue"
a household name...especially out here in this part of Texas, back in the 50's.
♪♫♫...if you knew...Peggy Sue....then you'd know why I feel blue..♪♫♪
*
The maze is on 12 acres and had to be watered continuously all thru the drought here.
It was well worth the time to water...it is a beautiful Corn Maze.
That's Great-Grandgirl, Cate and her little friend, running like there's no tomorrow,
towards the corn maze...
I swear this photo should be in a magazine. Not sure if it was taken by her mom or her daddy...
I think by her awesome mom....Granddaughter JESSICA
I don't have a clue what they are looking at....but whatever it is....THEY LIKE IT. :)
I'm pretty sure they didn't get TOO far into this complicated maze
(I hear tell that even the grown-ups were having to ask directions)
but these little ones are having a blast, just playing in and out and all around the bales of hay.

No wonder GOD loves the little children best....
me, too !
xo bj

Linking with
OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY
GOOD LIFE WED.
 Doesn't THIS look luscious....
It's out of COUNTRY LIVING magazine and it says
"Swapping in APPLE SAUCE for butter and
using NON-FAT cream cheese saves you 215 CAORIES and 19 grams of fat
PER SLICE !
I'm gonna make it....and if it's good, I'll be sure to LET YOU KNOW.:)
                                              XOXOXO bj  ♥♥♥

OMG! Is that ever cool! I wonder how they do that? I know I would mess it up for sure. Of course I would get a heck of a workout! "Gotta go up the tower to check my work...." I would have buns of steel though! Cate is so sweet! What a precious little girl! Love the pics!

Those mazes are just amazing! Love the shot of the kids running holding hands and I look forward to hearing about how the cake turns out:@)

Your grand kids are just adorable! They look like they were having a ball. Taking the family to a fall festival or anything like that is always a treat.

I LOVE corn mazes. Princess goes most every year and the one we go to is really neat, BUT, nowhere NEARLY as fancy as the one you showed. WOW!!

Girl, can't wait to hear how that cake turns out. MYYYY, that photo sure looks yummy!

Cute, cute, cute. I've never dared to try one of those corn mazes. I'm afraid that I'd be in there until the end of time.

the corn maze is so cool! How on earth do they do that?! Cate is the prettiest little thing ever and that top photo of her and her little friend running toward the maze just looks like joy:>)

Aren't they the cutest! That is one big maze. We have a small one close by and a large one towards the mountains.

We have a few mazes around here, too, but nothing like y'all have in Texas. You know they say you just do things bigger and better in Texas! I love the pictures of those little ones. They are just adorable. Couldn't you just kiss their cheeks off?

Hope that cake is good! xo Diana

Can't wait for you to share the recipe for that cake. Looks yummy! That corn maze is a-maze-ing. ;-) Sorry for the pun. Couldn't resist. Your grandkids are such cutie-patooties! You can't help but smile seeing those pictures.:-)

I would dearly love anything you cooked, but nothing can take the place of precious children. I love those shots. Wish I could see that maze. Maybe one day.

I can't wait for you to try the modified cake recipe for purely selfish reasons.
We have a local corn maze not far from our home. I am too claustrophobic to go into it.

Hi BJ,
And that's how they do it in Lubbock, bigger than life. Those Babies are just adorable! Thanks for sharing and enjoy!

That maze is incredible! I love stuff like that. We have one around here, but I haven't been this year and it's not nearly so wonderful.

And how cute are the pictures of Cate holding hands with her special friend. Just as cute as it can be!!

Awesome maze... did you hear the story on the news a while back of the couple who had to call 911 because they couldn't find their way out of a corn maze? The "rescuers" went in and found them only 20 feet from the entrance!
Adorable babies :) You're right - that shot of them running should be in a magazine - or at least an ad for the maze! :)

Precious little ones, running, excited and so cute! You are correct, needs to be in a magazine! I so enjoy watching the kids having fun on Halloween! Have a blessed day dear BJ, HUGS!

Now THAT is some maze!!!!

I'm one of those *Damn Yankees,* but I know of Buddy Holly. :-)

Like the way the corn maze is constructed... With bales of hay. Up in this neck of the woods, they cut a maze through the field of corn. I prefer how the bales, can be seen over.

PRECIOUS PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Yes, use Apple Sauce to cut sat/fat. Used to do that, with muffins.

WOW! Of course I remember Buddy Holly. Just wonderful to see your grandkids exploring; what great photos!

Oh I adored Buddy Holly--how creative is that. I'm afraid I'd get in and have to call 911 to get out. They was a couple on the news here the other night that got lost and when found were only 20 feet from the exit.
Your grandgirl is precious.

Corn mazes are so much fun! I took a group of kids to one a few years back, and we ALL had a blast.

And you're right, sweet BJ..."Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world." ;)

All three photos should be in a magazine - they're perfect! I heard a blurb on the news about having fire exits (or something) at corn mazes - didn't catch the details.

Beautiful maze and adorable children. You're right about that photo - like a Hallmark Card.

Cake looks good too! Dh uses applesauce for some of the oil when he makes muffins.
Did you get any rain yet there?
