économe

It is a pretty well known fact that I LOVE
Black and White/Cream CHECKS
on anything....!!

At THE thrift store by my house,
I spied this little cute
picture frame the other day
 and made a
complete FOOL of myself,
racing thru a small crowd of people,
knocking them right and left..
just KNOWING that they,
every one of them,
wanted THIS frame.!!

Well, once I came to my senses, with my blouse tail out of my pants, my pants turned a little sideways, beads of sweat on my upper lip, possibly passing a small amount of gas
and hair in eyes...
and looked back at the crowd, they were all staring at me like I was a mad woman and not ONE of them seemed the least bit interested in MY picture frame.
*turned beet red and straightened my clothing
I noticed a few of them had their arms outstretched, fingers in a cross position as if
warding off a WITCH or SOMETHING!!

Brand new with the Brand New Sticker Price still on it...
SOOO
for a DOLLAR..this baby came home with me.
I mean...after the spectacle I made of myself in my mad dash,
actually,  I HAD TO BUY IT.
I kept looking back over my shoulder and
THEY were still there, all gathered together,
looking at the CRAZY WOMAN...
BOO....HISS....BOO.........!!
Then, doing what any good blogger would do,
I went straight to THE GRAPHICS FAIRY
when I got home...
and found some beautiful
FRENCH MUSIC
I just noticed NOEL in the title so I am assuming it is a Christmas song ...
 ...printed it
 ...and FELL IN LOVE

Isn't it cool how some things
just seem to call for
just the right thing ?
To me...
this frame wouldn't look nearly as....
ummm.....gorjuss
with a photo of a person in it.

If I could get that whole little crowd of people that were staring at me at the thrift store, I would take this back and show 'em how cute it turned out...

But, then again...they'd think I was even
more NUTS if THEY thought
that I thought
that THEY gave a flyin' flip.....
just kiddin'
♥♥

This store puts things out constantly on their shelves while you are shopping there so what should have been a 15 minute walk-thru
turns into an hour...
why, you don't dare walk out when you
KNOW
there's new treasures strewn all over the place.
On my way out, I noticed some awesome wooden shoe stretchers....A perfect shade of the most golden brown..
I quickly glanced over my shoulder to see if THEY were wanting my shoe stretchers as much as they wanted my FRAME...not a one of them in sight...:))
soo, I came home with
my cute little frame...
 my shoe stretchers...
and
HAPPY....!!
I LUV my little new
FRENCHY piece...
and it was very
èconome.....
(you hafta google it....:)

Well I'd hate to see what would have happened IF someone else had been interested...

At least you weren't talking to yourself, like I do. Or were you?

Come take a look at my new multi-blog directory with "live updates" that I made all by myself!

Oh Bj, I think I may have passed a little gas myself just laughing at your shopping exploits! If those people only knew what you can do with a thrift store cast off they would be following you around just fighting for everything you look at. I love black/white checks so you know I appreciate your frame!~

Good morning bj, I have been in Fl so I have missed you and your great posts. I got a great laugh out of this one. You should KNOW how much I love thrift stores and I can spot a bargain real quick. this was a bargain and you transformed it perfectly. I have a pair of old wooden shoe stretchers and I tried to sell them with no success. Not even a mention from anyone. You would have been my favorite customer. BIG Smile here!

I love the way you play with your food btw.
Love you too sister friend,
Jeanne

Here I am again....

Thanks for coming by my new blog "the BIG blogroll". I tried to take a break last week but just couldn't help myself. Guess I am ready for that 12 step program for bloggers...

I just now answered your question (and others) in the FAQ pages. Yes,
I do want everyone to sign up even if they are already on the list.

Thanks for all your support :)

Love the story- I could BE you! I have made a few flying dashes in my own time!

That frame is just darling. I love it-especially with the sheet music inside it? My daughter married a Noel so it is always so much fun at Christmas. She has Noel spelled out all over their house and I always use Noel ornaments for the tags on their gifts.

I gave a pair of those shoe stays away a few years ago and am still shooting myself in the foot when I think about it! xo Diana

I can't stop laughing at this hilarious post! I could just picture you (even though we've never met in person) running through the store in a tizzy. I could actually relate because I have done something similar thinking that everyone is after what I went there for and I want to get it before they do. Your new frame is really cute and I also like your shoe stretcher.

Well, weren't you lucky! We finally got a Goodwill store here, but after several visits I have yet to find anything worth bringing home. It is a huge store...but so far, no one seems to be donating anything "cool"!
