Autumn Loves....

AUTUMN is coming slowly to SWEET NOTHINGS...
It, so far, is mostly IN THE KITCHEN....
THESE, ABOVE,.....
HOMEMADE....FROM SCRATCH....BROWN SUGAR ICING
ARE NOT MINE...
THEY belong to COOKING WITH K
AND you can go HERE for her luscious recipe.

I take the time to make homemade when I can...
but, when I CAN'T...
I DO THIS...
Keep cans of ORANGE CINNAMON ROLLS in the fridge AT ALL TIMES !
Heaven forbid that we wake up, ready for ORANGE CINNAMON ROLLS and
THERE ARE NONE !
I melt a little BUTTAH...and slather it ALL OVER THOSE ROLLS...
then, I add just a little LOW FAT CREME CHEESE on the tops...
sprinkle on a tad more CINNAMON...I do love me some extra Cinnamon...
sprinkle with pecans and POP IT ALL IN THE OVEN....
and.....WAIT

NOW...I must say that once these BAD BOYS are baked..
it's a tad bit hard to spread that luscious ORANGE icing over the pecans.....but...it works.
The taste of the roasted pecans just about KNOCK YOUR SOX OFF...sooo good.
Once that icing dries, the pecans are locked in and EVERYthing is....
READY TO EAT... ♥♥
I just LUV tiny little pumpkins...

O....there's NO doubt that HOMEMADE are MUCH better.
I aim to try HER recipe, just as soon as I can.
"Thanks, K"
IN THE MEANTIME...
these store-bought, DRESSED up just a little,
will curb the craving of a REALLY GREAT ROLL.
I am joining

  1. I have not had these rolls in years but they are good and they way you do them they must be even better. I would weigh 300lbs if I kept them in the frig all the time as I have zero impulse control!

  2. Everything looks beautiful and delicious. :) We have an old cinnamon bun recipe that's been in the family forever that makes the most delicious (and fattening) buns ever. Of course, it literally takes all day to make them, but it's worth it. Stop by The Pink Home if you get a chance. :)

  4. I love the orange rolls BJ! When the boys were toddlers they actually had little bits of orange rind in the icing, those were extra good! Bet the pecans are amazing:@)

  5. I got a good ideal from your blog, I hope you do not mind. I am having an out door party in a week and need center pieces that do not cost a lot. I am going to use muffin pans and fill some with little pumpkins and some with candles. I got this brain storm after I saw your little caddy done that way. Thanks, Richard from My Old Historic House.

  10. I haven't had the Pillsbury orange rolls ina ges and you are right they are good! But...BJ... you let the icing sit long enough to harden? Really? How do you have the self control? I always eat them warm:>)

  11. Yes, and this way you're always prepared no matter what. That's what my mama used to say about the extra cans of baked beans. She could whip up something tasty on the spur of the moment no matter what. And cinnamon rolls are better than beans any day!

  28. BJ, this is such a lovely post. I usually don't get that excited about fall, but this post makes me happy. Your decor is lovely, and the yummy morning treats are pretty, too. *nice post*

Mr. Art @ Home has had a difficult week, so I baked Overnight Raspberry French Toast this morning. I need to make from fresh tea and enjoy the day!
