I'm glad to hear that you finally have some rain - I hope it was the kind that soaks in and not the sort that runs off.
Yum, I'll have one of those root beer floats, please! Actually, I think I will drink it as I sit and watch my chicks playing in their chicken coop. (See the other comment I left on another of your posts to understand what the heck I mean. LOL!) Best,Gloria
Its so hot its tough to enjoy this summer but now the thought of a root beer floats changes everything:) Might have to run to the store for the stuff to make one.
So glad you finally got some rain BJ! Was it enough to do any real good? I haven't had a root beer float in ages... gotta fix that:@)

I love your photos! Did you know where I live, it is illegal to collect rain water? Can you believe such ridiculous baloney like that? The world going to hell in a hand basket and the govt. won't allow us to save rain water! Of course, I wonder what the going rate is on the black market! Hee Hee!Love the post! Anne
BJ, Your shadow photos tell a lot of your lawn. We, too, have been praising the Lord for the rain here on the Prairie! Had my first root beer float (in years) just a month ago in the triple digit weather...it went down so smooth! A welcomed refreshment of a hot Summer day! Cooler temperatures are coming...hang in there!Fondly,Pat

But at least the shadows offer the ILLUSION of being cool! :-)IF SHADOWSIf shadows could jump,How high would they go?As high as the moon?Does anyone know?If shadows could weep,How long would they cry?As long as it takesTo climb to the sky?If shadows could laughAnd tell funny jokes Would you take them homeAnd say, “Get this, folks!”?If shadows could wed,Would they prefer youOr somebody elseTo promise, “I do”?© 2011 Magical Mystical TeacherShadows and Sunflowers
