AUGUST....KNOCK MY SOX OFF

Every month or so, I do a little ditty called
KNOCK MY SOX OFF.
Just photos taken from blogs and magazines that are so AWESOME
that they just about really do
KNOCK MY SOX OFF...

AUGUST, '11
KNOCK MY SOX OFF
and I've found some adorable things for your pleasure.
Tina had this cute cute sign painted on the driveway side of her cottage.
I LOVE IT....
PENNY stenciled her table, taking inspiration from a beautiful quilt.
You did a magnificent job, Penny.
You will love this pretty table forever and ever.....amen.

I fell in love with these beautiful iron shelf brackets that
used.....seems to have made the shelves and beautiful ironstone
just jump off the page.
A wall of just white boards, held up with pretty iron brackets can serve sooo many wonderful purposes...
dishes, books, knick-knacks.
And the wall takes on such dimension when using the darker, iron brackets.
I'm looking for just ONE tiny wall that doesn't already have something on it so I can do this very thing.

Gol-lee,
I sure would like to have that much classic WHITE IRONSTONE.
I wonder what it is about
SOLID WHITE
dishes that we all seem to love so much?
Is it like DIAMONDS..
they have NO COLOR..
but, mercy, we all sure do love 'em.
Same with colorless ironstone, I think.
 She loves pastels...
and sure knows what to do with them.
See that amazing COUNTRYSIDE sign...
just PERFECT for this country sun room.
Wicker and beautiful, soft pillows just make ya want to stay here forever.
 Cute idea...
she hung this wooden magazine holder beneath  her kitchen counter
and added a couple of cookbooks.
How does she make her books stand up straight in the holder?
Mine always fall forward...??

I think this is from COUNTRY LIVING..
If I had a wooden porch (and didn't live in West Texas, where the sand blows)
I would have me some PORCH LOVE, just like this !
THIS photo shows us that you can have a great front porch if it's long and narrow
instead of large and wraparound.
SWEET NOTHINGS has the long, narrow porch but, alas...ole ugly CONCRETE
instead of the wonderful wooden porch flooring as in the photo.
What was the contractor THINKING !!
 BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS..
I wake up in the mornings, walk to my DINING ROOM
with my eyes closed and HOPE that when I open them,
my dining room is going to look
JUST LIKE THIS !!!
* big HUGE SIGH....
...and, to me, there's not much prettier in this world than white painted wood floors.
