APPLE FRITTER CAKE
You can go HERE for this delightful recipe.
My Grandpa Jackson used to sit on my momma's front porch and
peel his apple
and that peeling came off in
ONE LONG PIECE....♥
I tried and tried and tried
but I never could do that.
I DID IT TODAY !
O yeah...I'm the woman !
O yeah...I'm the woman !
MY cake looks different from HER cake because
I am such a
SEMI-HOMEMADE GIRL.
I used frozen rolls...
let them rise...
smashed 'em flat...
put the apples and goody stuff on each one.
I then placed them all in a RED loaf pan
...turns out it is a LOT like
APPLE FRITTER PULL APART BREAD..♣
MIGHTY
GOOD...

NOTE:
when I make them again, (i say THEM because I will make TWO next time)
I will find a way to cut down the sugar a bit as they are pretty sweet and,
don'tchaknow this would be fantastic with PECANS or WALNUTS....

Looks great BJ, I'm having a bit of an apple craving! You go girl on keeping the apple peel in one piece-have fun:@)
Dearest BJ,
So great to see a 'golden' lady blogging! Just found you and follow.
Neither could I ever peel in one length an apple... bad luck I guess. But this recipe looks yummy.
Have a great remainder of the week and just have a look at my posts...
Love,
Mariette
It looks amazing. I've never tried to peel an apple in one spiral myself. I'll wait for September.
Well slap my momma! This looks so good! I am bookmarking this for future use. I can't wait to get back and make this! Thanks for posting it! Woo hoo on the one peel apple! It is very hard.
They sound so good!!!
There are the handsome grandsons. What was I thinking. You just posted about the one getting married. I am a little slow......must be the heat.
Now that looks yummy but won't be able to eat that one. (((((HUGS))))
BJ,
Those grands are such a glamorus and handsome group! No wonder you smile all the time!!! If this Apple Fritter had pecans on the top..."Mr. Ed" would be drooling! Ha! I'm thrilled you were able to peel the apple "all in one piece"...you are the woman!
Fondly,
Pat
Oh what yumness! If I had been within smelling distance -- I'd have been right over with my coffee cup in hand.
Oh my dear - you are going to be solely responsible for my going up a dress size at this rate! This looks so good and I will definitely make it with the frozen rolls - especially at this time of year!
Wow, your bread looks wonderful! I'm so happy you enjoyed the recipe as much as our family does :) I made another one tonight because the kids were begging for it, lol. Thank you so much for the kind comments and referencing my site; it is greatly appreciated!
OH...MY...GOODNESS!
THAT LOOKS A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
I saw that somewhere and thought how good it looked.
Yours looks wonderful! I agree about the PECANS!
Throw in a handfull of raisins, too.
Holy Molie that looks yummy!!
Yum.....it looks so good:) I love all the grandkids!!
Yummy! Why can't I wake up in the morning with that waiting for me?
I'll just have to make do with my fozen pancakes... and instant coffee. Feeling sorry for me yet?

It looks completely yummy. I used to try to peel apples in one long piece. Around these parts, we threw them out the window, and in the morning they were supposed to be in the initial of our one true love.
It never worked for me since it's nearly impossible for an apple skin to make an "R".
Your goodie posts are sooooo bad for my diet and sooooo good for Saturday morning breakfast. This is a keeper, I like how you make it easy with the rolls. I can just taste it now with my duncan coffee (I'm hooked on that coffee like you). My mister will send his thanks to your Saturday..........
