The Tablescaper asks...

THE SWEET TABLESCAPER is having another
WHERE DO YOU KEEP IT ALL?
This is PART 2
I really wanted to play at her party..
She is such a sweet blogger.
 *
My thrifted DISPLAY RACK that wants to be
a BAKERS RACK when it grows up is home to
a LOT of dishes..
The blue box, bottom left, holds another flatware set.
My much-loved hutch shows off different sets of dishes at different times.
Even this little metal rack carries his weight by  holds my crocks and drink dispensers
as well as a couple of locker room baskets full of cookbooks.
...little metal rack, holding wine glasses..
Ummm...my heart still sings when I see a stack of white dishes...
A vintage French Blue secretary holds more dishes than you would think
possible...
Another favorite piece of furniture..
this moss green darling  is actually 2 separate pieces...
not even bought at the same place..
This bottom cabinet...
$14 bucks at the thrift store..
Could Not Believe It...
It hold many stacks of plates, bowls, serving pieces..
All this
IN. MY. LIVING ROOM.
One of my very favorite pieces of furniture in my cottage...
Perfect for holding tablecloths, napkins, napkin rings
This olden wicker suitcase I found several years ago has held all kinds of wonders..
magazines...
linens...
and more PLACE MATS.
My black hutch that belonged to my momma...
it has some of my BLUE WINDMILL pieces..
the drawers hold things like cards, dominoes, ect.
The bottom two shelves have more tablecloths and napkins..
My rooster cabinet holds TONS of STUFF..
flatware, chargers, glasses, Christmas dishes..
Now, THIS
BAD BOY holds a LOT of dishes and knick-knacks...
BUT...He was NOT ready for company so he won't open his doors....THIS TIME.
After he is cleaned out to the bare wood, he'll let you in, smiling.
NOW...
if you have time, sit down and let me make you one of these...

Linking with THE TABLESCAPER
Be sure to go by and see all the neat places people store their STUFF...
I've heard of dishes
under the bed
in a desk drawer
even *clear throat*  behind long curtains.
Can you believe it?
Ask GOLLUM if she has ever heard of that....:)))
Love you all...
xoxoo bj
EDITED TO ADD
HORROR PICTURES...
I didn't realize this party was for more than just dishes..
Then I read my friend, KIM's post and I had to show her that
I am waaay messier than she....:))

So, see KIM...
your pretty room
COULD BE A WHOLE LOT WORSE...:(

Well, I've often wondered this very question... Where do you keep it all?
:-) So this was a very enlightening post.

You have a delightful array of places, to "stash" you dishes and things.

Yours are soo neat and tidy.. Lovely pieces in which to store them all. I just loved looking at all your lovelies. That bad boy is an amazing piece. I need one of those!

I am in awe, BJ, of all your organization and storage. What a blessing!!! Everything looks so nice and neat. I do not have that much stuff simply because our house is all open, and we have tons of windows. We have few cabinets in our kitchen, and wall space is at a premium. Awesome post! :D

I need Bad Boy. I am chuckling because I am sure my visual of Bad Boy is pretty accurate. You know why? Because your Bad Boy and my Bad Boyette are probably looking the same. Not ready for Prime Time!

I do love all of your storage and the ideas. And yes, white dishes are a love affair!

I haven't visited for awhile. Let's just that mega doses of antibiotics works wonders and I am feeling like a million bucks again. NOTE TO SELF: DON'T IGNORE A SINUS INFECTION. Yep. Almost ended up in the hospital but everything is just fine now.
"Talk to you soon"

Great storage places you have! I love all the fun pieces you have in your home. I need some more storage upstairs so I don't have to haul it up from the basement. hugs, Linda

I love it! BB (before blogging) I never realized that there were other women like me out there that loved china/dishes/silverware. I mean I figured there were a few of them around but NOTHING like I expected. I have SISTERS-Sisters of the Soul...that understand, and appreciate, dishes. When we built this house I had two cabinets built in-one hidden above the fireplace wall and covered by a large picture..and the other above my built in range- it looks like a bead board insert-press in the middle and it springs open to show you - what? Dishes!

Your storgage pieces are wonderful. I love the Bad Boy! I have always been attracted to BAD BOYS..and even at 60 HE made me do a 2nd take. He sooo wants to come home with me! Have a lovely weekend- xo Diana

Can a girl ever have enough dishes? Nope! My home is filled with nothing but Bad Boys:@)

I feel so NORMAL after reading that! I have dishes in every nook and cranny and dread the 'helpful' guest who goes looking for something only to encounter another stack of china.

Wow. This is something I've always wanted to ask, but never dared. Thanks for letting us take a peek. You do have lots of storage places!

Kim @ Savvy Southern Style said...

BJ, I didn't show the closets or in the cabinets and cupboards. You should see the inside of the cabinet in my sitting room. Stuff falls out when you open those doors! Believe me I only showed that one room, but there is so much more.

BJ, I love that you store your dishes in furniture; it's my favorite storage solution -- buy another piece of furniture! Um, my Christmas closet is PACKED like yours is -- but isn't it fun to unpack it? :-) Glad you shared tonight!

What a fun party. :) If I wasn't in the midst of packing up everything, I would have had to join that one. I just love all the spaces for your dishes ~ I have many like that, too. It's amazing how quickly they can take over, isn't it? lol I adore the Mother's Day flowers in your blog header ~ they look like sunshine. :)
