Mornin'

GOOD MORNING...
I started off really GOOD this morning..
Special K and a few strawberries.
...but while I was eating this healthy breakfast,
I was reading an old copy of Better Homes and Gardens (Nov. 1999)
and I saw
THOSE...up there...in that metal basket...
looking so delicious I just HAD to make them.
PEPPERY WHITE CHEDDAR BISCUITS....
Lordy have mercy...

The recipe in the magazine said to *roll or pat them into a square*
then to *cut into smaller squares*....
I have never cut my biscuits like this but, boy, it was
a lot faster than using a biscuit cutter...
just a whack whack whack and I was done..
They baked up like a dream biscuit....
They are DELICIOUS.
Very easy to make...
and the peppery, cheesy taste is fabulous.
Now..
like all my biscuits, I used more milk than the recipe calls for.
Your biscuit dough should NEVER be dry..
it should be sticky enuf that you need to *dust it with flour* when
you start to roll or press the dough out.

These were so flaky and light..
Mr. Sweet thinks this recipe is a real KEEPER...
Me, too..
they really are good and...
bet they would have been even better if (*shhhhhh)
I had remembered to add .......
THE EGG.
:(
Go HERE for this amazing recipe.
(I've never added an egg to a biscuit recipe but next time, I sure will try it.)

  10. Thank goodness I have no time this morning, or I'd be heading into the pantry for flour, and setting up the laptop on the kitchen island.
