ROSEMARY can make the difference....

and....I'm not talking about ROSEMARY'S BABY...
I am playing with our friend, LYNN,
and this month it is one of my FAVORITE gals...
THE PIONEER WOMAN
**
This is a RERUN from last summer.
Things are going GREAT at SWEET NOTHINGS COTTAGE...
This photo was taken last summer and, as you can see,
SWEET NOTHINGS really IS a COTTAGE.
Mr. Sweet and I are very happy and comfy here.
*
OK, on to the COOKIN'

Frozen rolls from the freezer section of your local grocery store or
HOMEMADE..........
I used FROZEN...
ummm um, good!
CHOP some fresh ROSEMARY...
a 10" CAST IRON SKILLET and SEVEN (7)
FROZEN ROLLS...
THIS IS THE PIONEER WOMAN'S RECIPE.....
and SHE said SEVEN...so I did SEVEN.
Let them rise to double...triple in size.
Those 7 rolls will totally FILL UP YOUR SKILLET...
*
Brush with melted butter, GENTLY as not to push them down...
then sprinkle those babies with
FRESH CHOPPED ROSEMARY...
AND THEN......
GIVE ME A HIGH FIVE !!
YOU are sooo in for a TASTE TREAT...
*
Take a gander at these AMAZING rolls, covered with BUTTER and a fresh herb...
now, that's what I'm talkin' about !!

YOUR cottage will fill completely with the BEST FRAGRANCE...
The smell of the YEAST, coupled with the smell of fresh ROSEMARY
is just NEARLY more than a human can stand..
I kept running into MR. SWEET every time I turned around...
he was right on my heels until I took them out of the oven...
THEN he was sitting at table with the butter and two of these delicious rolls...
But, not before he grilled a delicious meal for us....
MR. SWEET is a very sweet fella...
AND....don't let ANYone ever tell ya that
HOT ROSEMARY ROLLS
don't taste amazing with
RED RASPBERRY JAM...
They make an AWESOME COUPLE for a great dessert....
*
As I mentioned, these are THE PIONEER WOMAN'S
ROSEMARY ROLLS....
and speaking of PIONEER WOMAN...

REE DRUMMOND
how is it that one little lady can be sooo talented
and so dang good-lookin', all at the same time !!

Reese Witherspoon will likely star in the new romantic comedy from Columbia Pictures called
The Pioneer Woman.
Deadline reports the flick will be based on ThePioneerWoman.com, a blog by Ree Drummond that details “how a detour on a trip from L.A. to Chicago led her to Oklahoma. There, she met the cowboy of her dreams and transformed from spoiled city girl to domestic ranch wife.”
Check out Ree’s blog at ThePioneerWoman.com
I simply can not WAIT to see who will play "MARLBORO MAN" !! ;-)

Hey BJ! I've been wanting to make those rolls! Rosemary's in the garden, and yep, I have a cast iron skillet! Thanks for playing along and I want to know who will be Marlboro Man too:@)

You always know everything. I had no idea that Ree's life was going to become a movie. Fancy that! Does Garth Brooks act? He reminds me of Marlboro Man. ☺

Oh yes! Those rolls...hmmmm...

One more question: Do you like the new size of Country Living magazine?

Beeeej,
Gonna have to try the rolls. I wonder if we have those Texas rolls in Illinois??? xoxo

From a spoiled city woman to a domestic ranch wife? Can you be both? No, how about neither! :)

I love your sweet home. I love the red brick. You so seldom see it out here in Calfornia. Oh, now and then..but just not that often.

Those rolls look delicious...but I have never seen them before. Perhaps you can only buy them in Texas..which would be so totally unfair!
(sheesh, but they look delicious!)

What a treat those rolls would be. We don't have that brand up here, but I'm sure I could substitute another.
I'm so glad to following your posts - yours was one of the blogs that I'd hunt and peck around for, hit and miss at finding it. Now, here you are!

Hi bj, I have never heard of those Texas rolls but they look delicious! I wonder if we can get them up here in the frozen north? I also need a cast iron skillet. For some reason I have managed to avoid getting one all these years, maybe because they seem so intimidating to me! Have a nice day! Linda

Fun info! Reese will play the Pioneer Woman! Thank you.

I'm sure those rolls are wonnnnnderful. But you know me. The most wonnnnnnderful part of this post, is another peek at your sweet "Sweet Cottage." I love, love, love peeks at where blog buddies live and how they "do up" their "digs." :-)

Gentle hugs,
.♥.

I have rosemary and will soon have some of those delicious looking rolls! I am new to the Pioneer Woman so I enjoyed learning about her in this post. I follow her on Facebook and blog but did not realize there was to be a movie. I should pay more attention!

Thanks BJ for the info on loading pictures onto my blog. I'll give it a try. Love your blog. I have the cookbook but haven't tried the rolls yet. I like how she has pics of how to cook everything.

Yum, there is always something good cooking at your house. We've got lots of rosemary growing so I'll give this a try. Thanks ~ Sarah

BJ, those rolls look delicious! I could eat the whole skillet and probably would if they were within reach. LOL!

I love Pioneer Woman's blog. I read it when I can, and I think her love story is wonderful. And I adore her brother who knows everyone in town. Very cute family, and Marlboro Man is sorta easy on the eyes, too. LOL! She is a doll.

I'm going to hop over to Lynn's and see what she's cooked up. If they come up with a takeout version of Ree's dishes, I'll play with y'all next time! ;-)

XO,

Sheila :-)

I was meant to come over to your blog today! This morning I was thinking about my cast iron skillets I have "inherited". Im not really sure what to use them for! They are so heavy & awkward, but I hear they cook well.. I made a yummy cornbread in one last week. I need to find a cookbook of recipes to try ways using them. Anyway, your rolls look divine & I will try them (in my cast iron) :)

Thank you, Dear One, for the link to that Gluten Free blog!!! Gracious me oh my oh mercy, thank you!!!

Thanks for giving Aunt Amelia that address of my blog. Actually, my gluten-free blog is Comfy Cook at http://comfycookc.blogspot.com.

Just wanted to straighten that out since the one you mentioned does have some recipes with gluten and others without.

Now to these rolls. They look delicious and I can only imagine the flavor. Maybe, in a few weeks, I can try them out. I would love to take a bite of one, right now.

They look amazing, all the dripping butter and the jam. NOW I'M CRAVING THAT!
How cool, I didn't know there was a movie, great casting!

How can anything not be good that has rosemary on it? I just love the smell of it. All the more reason to buy a cast iron skillet!

Thanks for your comments on the rolls. I don't know how it would be divided down. I actually have another recipe for cinnamon rolls that is way easier than Ree's. Both are delicious!
