I FELL KNEE-DEEP IN LOVE.......

The adoring THRIFTING FAIRY
has really fluttered her wings around my head and heart
and took me by the hand to find these
BEAUTIFUL....SWOON WORTHY DISHES
that could only live at
SWEET NOTHINGS...
When I saw them, I almost
went to my knees.
I looked this up at REPLACEMENTS. COM
and the dishes, FORGET-ME-NOT by AMERICAN COUNTRY
were made from 1989 and discontinued in 2000.
My dear sweet friends,......
I paid LESS for a set of:
6 plates
8 saucers
5 cups
creamer
sugar bowl with the cutest little lid
a medium sized platter
and a medium sized serving bowl,
THAN JUST
ONE PLATE of this pattern at Replacements.com (it costs $20...twenty bucks for a single plate.
GOOD GRIEF...
I am in total awe and ever so thankful to the THRIFTING FAIRY
for insisting that I go to that very thrift shop that very day.
AMEN!
I tell you, they just take my breath away...

Horchow exclusive. In the early 1900s, England's finest hotels created unique settings by mixing flatware patterns. The look was dramatic and eclectic—a refreshing change from the standard. "Hotel" flatware, with its seven assorted English reproduction designs, brings the unique classic back to life. Service includes 12 five-piece place settings, 12 extra salad forks, and 12 extra teaspoons, plus two serving spoons (one pierced), serving fork, pie server, sugar spoon, and butter knife. Made of 18/10 stainless steel in European sizing. By Towle Silversmiths.
*********************************************************
ThIS beautiful TOWLE stainless flatware set
has been on my heart for a year now.
The price was $390.
Sale for $199.99 (I almost got these at Christmas but....didn't)
Then one day a couple weeks ago..
Horchow ran a 40% sale and I got the
90 piece set for $140.00
and I am still dancing the HAPPY DANCE.
They are so pretty and so well balanced in the hand that I am just beside myself.
Mr. Sweet LOVES them as they are a little *larger feeling* in his hand.

Aren't they so gorgeous....
I am so tickled to have them I could just die.
I found only 4 of the little blue-banded glasses..
I'll keep watching for more as they really look great with the *new* dishes...
*sigh
The scalloped edges of the soft blue and white dishes just makes my heart sing...

I am having the time of my life, arranging them in my red dining room hutch..
that's a *whole nuther post* for later...:)
Sit down, have a cup of tea and a scone with me and...
let's talk about it....

Those dishes are sweet. Just sweet and the new silverware is so pretty, too. How're the tines on the fork? Sharp enough to stab a piece of steak? That's what makes John happy with silverware. That you are happy and sighing with contentment is making me grin and now I feel perfectly happy, too.
