CHOICES...

A good life is all about
CHOICES...
Every single day, we are all met with choices that
we have to make a decision on.
Too many times, we tend to make the wrong choice..
and it can really make a lot of difficulties in our life.
Sometimes, we have the chance to CHANGE our choice before
damage is done...
......and sometimes we don't.
We simply must sit down and think through the choices we have offered to us,
and try with all our mite to
make the right one.
Praying over our decisions helps more than any other thing
on the face of the earth.
Even the smallest decision is met much better through prayer.
When we make a choice after we have visited with GOD about it,
it generally turns out to be the best decision we've ever made.
I won't say that EVERY choice I have prayed over turned out to be the right one...
but those might be the times that I did what I wanted to do instead of listening to HIM.
You know, we DO have a way of turning HIS answers into what we want to hear.
If you have decisions to make today,
I hope you will pray about them...
I feel sure HE will help you make the right choice.
I am square dab in the middle of having to make a choice that is very serious.
I am afraid to make a decision...afraid it might be the wrong one....
sometimes, it just seems easier to *float along* but that
never solves anything.
I am asking and visiting with HIM  about it and I have faith that HE will show me the right choice.
HE loves us all so very much and wants us to be happy and healthy.
HE doesn't always answer our prayers as fast as we want...
sometimes, in my life, I have thought HE was NEVER going to answer.
Then, I realized I hadn't always listened to HIS answers....or...I had MISSED them.
I don't understand why things happen the way they do when I have prayed for
something entirely different....
When things are going on in my life that break my heart, I tend to wonder why HE
wouldn't want for me, what I want for myself....
but I made the CHOICE  a few years ago to try to remember that
HE KNOWS BEST...and HE has never been wrong.
We simply MUST TRUST HIM.
(Psalm 9:10 "Those knowing your name will trust in you")
HE will see us thru the hard times...and, believe me, without HIM,
we are LOST.
O, yes, and before I forget..
I bought these adorable little hangers at HOBBY LOBBY for less than $3. each..
Aren't they so cute..
love the faded, shabby colors and , of course,
the big ole numbers.
Not a bit sure just how I will use them but have a few ideas..
what would you do if you had these cuties ?

I am going to link with:

You are inspiring. I can also feel that you are troubled. You have been such a good friend and listener for me...if you need a shoulder, you know how to find me. I hope you find your answers soon.

Hugs to you!

We do not often weigh out what is important - we don't often realize that we have choices. Except we want whatever it is right now, unaware that some decisions are better,

Prayer does help, as long as we don't make impulsive moves. God's time is perfect, events play themselves out yet we are unaware that our prayers will ultimately be answered, I am in a situation where social security has pulled my payments in a payment dispute. I am working through our US representative's office. I know the payments will resume, but cannot see when - the frustrating part. For me, faith has to take precedent. We humans hope to have it fixed NOW. Yet, our needs will be met. Prayer and patience will win out...

Lovely pancakes and bacon, too!

Bj,
You are one of the dearest, sweetest Texan ladies I've met! Please know that I am praying for you ...and with you. Sometimes the journey He sets us on, we don't think we're strong enough to handle. He knows what we are capable of...only trust Him. Know that you are loved...by God, by others, and by me!
Fondly,
Pat

BJ, I have been following your blog for sometime now but I never left a comment until now. I really needed to hear what you had to say today.Your words really spoke to me . Thank you so much for sharing what's on your heart. I don't know what your need is but God does and I'm praying for you!

BJ,
You are absolutely right; sometimes we do not weigh our choices carefully; a great thought, but the most profound was when you mentioned that we pray for results but sometimes we just aren't listening. Or in my case we aren't listening for any other answer other than our own!
thanks for an enlightening post!

Joining you in a prayer for guidance and direction and peace in the choice so you will know that you know that you know that you heard from the Lord. Talking things over with a dear husband, a close friend, and with family can be so very helpful, too. Others can provide insight just as you have done here. I'm so glad that we were never designed to go it alone.

(Love the numbers. Right now, I'd hang them from the end of my jelly cupboard for extra jacket space. I always make room for the grands to have a place for their jackets, but forgot this past weekend. My grandson looked at me so perplexed for he's never seen that happen before.)

God does answer prayers, but in his time, not ours. We all think we are in control and we are really not,it is hard sometimes to accept this and ask God to show us the way.

My problem comes when trying to discern HIS answer and mine. Too many times I thought I was following HIS path only to find I was not. Hmmm...

I hope HIS answer comes to you clearly and timely. I am sending positive thoughts your way, my dear. Hugs, La

We all need to do all things in moderation. Pray and be patient and remember God does not always answer our prayer like we want him to. Have a blessed day. Madeline

What a touching post you have today Bj; I am sending good vibes your way; what you are going though is not easy. Not sure what it is exactly, but I know it is important in you life. I have been there and it is scary, but I have a feeling whatever it is that you decide will end to be the right one. At our age its seems life is still trying to trip us up; don't know why.
You are a Smart gal that I admire.
Hugs to you.
