I am re-posting one of my favorite tea time posts.
TEA TIME...
it's ALWAYS time for tea at Sweet Nothings
Sooo, I got busy and prepared one
JUST FOR YOU !
I think it must be because the whole wheat bread I buy is more dense than white.
TEA TIME...
it's ALWAYS time for tea at Sweet Nothings
Tea and hot whole wheat biscuits with homemade strawberry jam..
That pretty blue and white tea pot belonged to my mom...
It just dawned on me the other day that I had not done a tea, using this teapot...That pretty blue and white tea pot belonged to my mom...
Sooo, I got busy and prepared one
JUST FOR YOU !
*little note here...I think this is actually a coffee server.
is whole wheat flour heavier ?I think it must be because the whole wheat bread I buy is more dense than white.
O, but these are very good.
(I just wish I knew where the recipe came from...;)
There is not a marking one on the bottom....
does it seem strange to you that our mothers ALWAYS find/found the
most beautiful things.?
It seems that everything my mother had was beautiful.
SHE was beautiful so I guess that goes hand in hand.
We seldom have a fancy tea around Sweet Nothings...
Mr. Sweet doesn't even like hot tea....and sure NOT with sugar.
I fix myself a cup two or three times a day but I am usually at the computer, drinking it...
So, I can live without silver sugar tongs...!
But....they are so pretty !!
or....wait a minute....
IS it a teapot or a COFFEE pot.?
So many times, I try to send friends a *real* card instead of an email.
Sweet MARY that lives in THE LITTLE RED HOUSE makes these most delightful note cards from her very own photos. They are just breathtaking and she sells them in her ETSY SHOP.

This desk is such a delight.
I love the light that comes in thru the plantation shutters that I can regulate.
It's the perfect spot to write a card to a friend....and have a good cup of TEA. I love the light that comes in thru the plantation shutters that I can regulate.

Your coffee pot is simply lovely and who cares if you're using it for tea? Three cups a day? I should try that, perhaps I could ward off nibbling that way. Thank you for the tea and for sharing your lovely treasures.
Your coffee/tea pot is stunning. Such a beautiful design. Love your wonderful refreshments, they look sooooooooo good. Beautiful tablescape. Thanks also in advance for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty
Your mother's old tea pot/coffee pot is gorgeous! Everything looks so pretty and inviting. I have been looking for sugar tongs as well. One of these days maybe I'll find some. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
I love the beautiful blue and white coffee pot. However, I don't know what is the difference. Is it size, shape? Maybe someone can let us know.
All of your tea party is beautiful and I remember your desk. I love it and it's placement is perfect. Have a great holiday week.
I love your teapot...yes, our mothers had the most beautiful things! Now that I think of it, my mom had few but very nice pieces and she was very grateful.
I like tea in the evening and when I'm under the weather...lots of cream, vanilla cream. Real whipping cream if I have it. And you deserve a pair of sugar tongs...why not. Who uses salt cellars?
Happyu Sunday. BJ!
XO,
Jane
Breakfast looks very nice and tasty and the tea pot is gorgeous, I really like it!
Kisses and hugs:)
BJ, your Mother's treasured pot is simply beautiful! I suspect it might be a "chocolate pot" by the looks of the shape of it. Very valuable!!
Google "vintage blue & white chocolat pot" & click images up on the left side...you'll see a similar one in a set that they're asking $675!!
I love your mosaics, especially the one with the candle in the background! Very pretty.
Oh & your new header is awesome, too! I like the clean lines.
Can't wait to see your little mug mat in a blog post. :D
fondly,
Rett
Whether it is a tea pot or coffee pot it is just fabulous. Everything looks just beautiful. Have a blessed day. Madeline
Happy Sunday BJ! Your coffee/tea pot is so pretty, I love it! Your tea party is so beautiful, I have enjoyed my visit. :-)

BJ?...........it's all beautiful in blue today. I'm so enjoying having tea with you. [I have a tea service nearly the same]
And as for buffalo burgers....your hubby is right, they ARE good. LOL
Beautiful pics BJ! This is a very pretty post!
PS-This Yankee would love to see a perma-link on your sidebar about how to make biscuits... I'm gonna go searching for the post now:@)
Coffee/tea, whatever, it is beautiful. You must take after your mom!
Have a blesses Holy Week, BJ. The sun is finally out today after 2 days of rain and wind! But no flowers yet!
I love your coffee/tea pot ... such wonderful memories for you. I love blue and white .. so calming and clean feeling!
Loved having tea with you and those biscuits look scrumptious. I don't know whether it is a tea or a coffee pot but it looks like Blue Willow and that is my favorite. Loved your post.
What a gorgeous teapot. I love the colors. Love the good looking food too!...Christine
This is beautiful! I love that pattern on that. Such a pretty little tea. Thanks for stopping by!

Love the beautiful pot. the notecards are stunning. Food looks scrumptious. thanks for sharing.
Hello bj, it seems like ages since I was visiting you. I spent 5 days in Atlanta and have been running the roads as usual. HA! I love you sweet tea post and your mom's tea or coffee pot. who cares which it is...it is beautiful. I do think whole wheat flour is heavier and needs a bit of extra baking powder. However, I KNOW they were delicious. The photo mosaic is gorgeous. You know I always love your posts.
Love, Jeanne
I think you should have the silver tongs just because they are beautiful. I love the pot, and wouldn't restrict its use to coffee - why not tea, chocolate or an herbal tisane?
Coffee server/teapot...it is elegant and beautiful no matter what! Love my afternoon tea..it makes me happy!
Since you're reposting, I'll have a second cup, please. Love your blues!
Happy Blue Monday, BJ.
Wow they are so pretty..Happy blue Monday...
Happy Blues! I miss the days of 'real' letters and cards. But, then there wouldn't be any blogland. I see what Vee wrote - maybe sipping tea would stop the nibbling. I should go to tea. :) Jenn
I meant to comment on the need for rain -- don't we though. You're closer to the burns than we are - but we're sure dry here too. Yes, we need rain! No storms. Just a nice rain to soak and catch up. I'll join you in your prayer request. Jenn
Very pretty!
Would you mind peeking at my blues? Thanks!
Hey BJ,
Love the coffee pot! Blue and white is always right! I use my coffee pot for tea sometimes when I have extra company for tea. I have a sugar tong which was a gift from a blogger friend. I never use sugar in my tea but like you, I think they're pretty on the table.
I was also looking at the photos of all the beautiful rooms and pieces of furniture of bloggers you had shared...There are so many talented ladies out there. I enjoyed looking at them all and thank you for sharing them with us. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter.
Blessings,
Sandi
I hope you finally found some sugar tongs. Then you have to get the pretty sugar cubes. And I say.....use the good stuff! Those tongs will make the tea even sweeter sitting by the computer!
What a pretty post. Love that blue and white coffee pot. Beautiful!
I'll pray for rain for you all. I have a coworker that used to live in Lubbock. Have a Happy Easter!
Tea, Coffee, it's a beautiful pot either way, BJ! I love the design on it. While I am partial to coffee myself, I do like a nice cup of tea in the afternoon sometimes {usually when I'm ready to take a nap at the day job round about 3:00!}.
Beautiful photos! I'm sure the biscuits tasted good. I'm a new follower. Hope you can also check out my entry . Thank you!
I fell in love with your teapot ;-)

There is a place for tradition, and when you can serve in a classic, elegant style - the guests feel a bit more special when treated to a style that is long gone. Such as sugar lumps - a blast from the past (that never adorns tea or coffee for me. Yet a neat throwback to simpler days). Warm whole wheat biscuits and fresh ruby jam is a true treat!
BJ I just love your Blue and White tea. So beautiful! Everything looks so delicious and inviting.

You have so many beautiful things shown here. I love all of the blues. You remind me of my favorite Auntie M. Your blog is so beautiful and welcoming....just like hers. I'm joining you in praying for rain for Texas. Blessings!
beatiful post, now I want tea !lol
Helen
I love that teapot! Will have to visit Mary and check out those notecards!
Thanks so much for linking to 2nd Time Around!
Will pray for that rain! :)
What a lovely post. I just finished my first cup of coffee for the day and now I may have to follow up with a nice cup of TEA.
I recently went through all of my mother's things and have found so many things to bring out to the light of day again. I found a "tea pot" that is so lovely. Since it's really a coffee pot, I can actually call it my Anything Pot.
I think it's a tea pot today. Tomorrow it may be a coffee or chocolate pot, though!
Lovely! Wish I could send you a few inches of our rain....
So sorry to be so late in getting here. Your coffee pot is gorgeous. Thanks for being a part of Seasoal Sundays.
