TEA TIME...

Isn't it wonderful the way all of us bloggers do things differently !
It just amazes me at how each of our personalities come alive on our blogs.
Some so serious...
some so silly...
ALL delightful.
We choose mostly the same subjects when we 'play' in the memes that abound in Blogland...
we gather our objects, hoping to make as pretty a post as we possibly can.
If my post for the day doesn't excite me a little, I either don't do it or
I keep adding things that make the post a little more exciting  and FUN to me.
I don't mean that I do HAND STANDS on each one..
but I have to be
VERY happy with it before I post.
...that's just me, tho.
Some of us have fabulous things to work with...
others have what I call, the normal things.
I find that I have to use things over and over so I am challenged to find new ways of using them.
I get so many great ideas from YOU...
and more inspiration than I can possibly handle.
Some of us  are much more formal....traditional...staying with the tried-and-true...classic...
others of us are more 'laid back' and trying new arrangements every day.
Every single post on every single blog has SOMETHING to say.
I LOVE blogging.
I have learned so many things...
and had fun doing it.
I, myself, have little to work with but I ADORE the challenge of
coming up with new, bold, a-different-point-of-view looks to use on my  blog.
YOU are always there, with encouraging words and a helpful heart.
Blogging has NEVER been a chore for me.
I love every single solitary thing about it.
I've not once, in 3 years, ran out of anything to blog about.
On the contrary...
I keep a week's worth, and more, in drafts all the time.
Before I can finish with photos and ideas for one post,
I stumble onto another idea.

I love showing my 'softer'  side by PLAYING TEA...
it's just fun to me.
Playing tea and playing with our dishes just brings the LITTLE GIRL out in us, I think.
My  more "no nonsense" self comes out when I play around with a POTTERY BARN look...:)
Pottery Barn is pretty much SERIOUS stuff.
OOO, I have to show you this...
In PhotoScape, you can FLIP your photos...
I did it in the above pictures and thought "HOW COOL"....
then I noticed what it did to the CLOCK FACE...
NEAT, HU?
I have so much fun over there, playing with my photos...
I think the last photo of this post is sooo dreamy, thanks solely to PHOTO SCAPE.
I adore dreamy photos..
but, I love the sharp, really in focus ones, too.
I guess it depends on the subject.
I take a lot of ribbing about posting "everything that goes in my mouth"...:))
You can't know the kick I get out of doing just that.
I love cooking...and I do quite a bit of it..
altho, you may know that I love SANDRA LEE
on SEMI HOMEMADE...:))...
just my kind of cookin'.
I love taking photos of pretty, colorful foods and playing around
with making the photos even prettier.
Taking photos of food can be very tricky, indeed.
Some shots of a delicious food can make it appear ANYTHING but appealing.
I've been asked several times what kind of camera I am using.
It's a very inexpensive KODAK EASY SHARE...
a little point and shoot, 12.2 mega pixels.
When I win the lottery, I want A REAL CAMERA ..:)
I had a little Canon but it went swimming last summer and has never recovered...:(
I keep my blog postings LIGHT...
the REAL world can get pretty heavy sometimes and
it does my heart, soul and spirit so good to have a place to come that is full of prettiness.
I love getting ideas and inspiration and just plain GOOD FEELINGS from all the
wonderful friends I have made here.
I am linking with PINK SATURDAY
Thanks to all the hosts and thank YOU for coming by.
(I have absolutely NO idea why my font size keeps changing.??)
 HAPPY DAY...

Ohhhhh "Sweetie," you do just that! You have a wonderfully happy, pretty, cute, light, lovely blog! And it is wonderful for all your Dear Readers to know that you are here. A haven, in the storm.

Yes, the world is usually a pretty heavy place. At least, that's all *The News* gives us, is the heavy stuff. -sigh- Every so often, I have to turn it all off. *The News,* in all its forms. I'm in one of those times, now.

So it's a joy, joy, joy to have your pretty blog, to come to. To scroll through all the beeeeeeutiful pics you post. And to read your fun words.

Thank you, "Honey Bun"!!!!! You are a joyful part of "Pretty Blog Land."

Gentle hugs...

As to the Centering Of The Header Pic Issue...... I see it as to the left. But I'm used to that effect, with New Editor. I thought it was supposed to be that way!

Actually, now I don't give a *flyin' patootie* anymore, where my Header Pic floats off to! ,-) Recently, mine was hanging off, to the right! -giggles- Awww, who cares. ,-)

Gentle hugs...

Thanks for the laugh bj, yes, I borrowed that photo from Google. I will give Susan credit for the photo. HA! I needed an Irish tea set and I don't have one. I'm glad Susan does. Your post today is a labor of love. I know you love to blog and so do I. I am not nearly as original as you are but that is why your posts are so very special. I love the food and drool over the delicious things you share. I too always have something in my mind to blog about. I admit my busy life is a deterrent to me way to often. Sigh. Maybe I will slow down one day. I know you are on the run too. I don't know how you do everything you do. I am your biggest fan. Smile.
Love you much,
Jeanne

Hi bj, I will take my tea in any of your pretty cups! I am always entertained when I come to visit your sweet nothings, by your photos, your yummy food ideas, and your clever wit! (by the way, I have that same little camera, and it is suffering from sand grains which flew into it at the beach last summer, but it keeps going!) That clock face looks like something from Wonderland! Have a nice weekend. Linda

Your photos are always so inviting....just like you BJ. It's so fun to have friends from all over...don't you think? Now I know that we're going on daylight savings time this weekend ....but I'm not quite sure about the time on that "reverse" clock....would that be time going backwards? Whatever time it is...it's always a good time with you.

Happy Pink Saturday BJ Sweetie...
Thank you for the gorgeous share. I love to come and watch you create. I love seeing the clock face change when you changed the handle side on the tea cups. I have done that SO many times. It's fun playing with photos. That is part of my job all day at work. I love playing with graphics. What fun.

Your desert looks SO yummy. I am already at the door sweetie, can I come in for tea and desert? Those strawberries are calling me.

Thank you for sharing with me this evening. I have learned SO much from you. It is always a pleasure to come and play. Happy Pink Saturday sweet BJ and have a Magical St. Patty's Day.

Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

I've missed you. Trying to catch up. How is hubby doing? I dodged a bullet. :) Scared me.

I always love your posts, bj! I have learned a lot from you..and one the best things is that a little home, not all that big or grand can be just as interesting..especially if it has delicious food, and a warm personality presiding over it, such as yourself. Your blog is always a perfect joy to me!
HUGS!

Hi BJ thanks for the comment. All the pictures on my blog I took myself, so I do appreciate it. How sweet and what is it about tea cups; I must get mine out with maybe my dolls and have a PS tea party. Among your china so delicately painted and your linen so carefully stitched to embroider our world with heaven-ness. I too am praying for Japan, Hawaii, etc. Blessings Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com

Oh ho! I was so glad to see you came by and left me a warm and wonderful note. Thank you thank you. I did turn off the word verification. As I scrolled here, I see your tag for 'word ver. free blog'. Cute idea. I've got to re-learn and learn blog stuff again. But it's feeling pretty good, so far, being back. I didn't realize how much I miss it and the clutch of people I was talking with most. THanks, again. Love, Jenn

I have never heard of Photo Scape...need to check into it. I'm so illiterate when it comes to those kinds of things. I have Picassa but don't like it...also Adobe Photo Shop which is too complicated for me. I love taking pictures and even finally got a really nice camera from hubby as a gift, but again I'm not smart enough to figure out all the bells and whistles. You amaze me always having blog posts right at your fingertips. I tend to have trouble wondering what might interest readers. Most of mine is about family and I often worry that nobody gives a dang about what goes on in my little neck of the woods. But I love blogging so will just keep on keeping on...and will keep on visiting you for ideas and inspiration and just plain fun.
