I used to get many of those from "eBay." I haven't seen any in while, so I guess that's good. But it's always good to put the word out there again for those who may not be aware!! My mother was almost duped by those. Thank goodness she called me before submitting infomation!

Good morning bj, I have missed you my sister friend. We are in Florida AGAIN, this time for our oldest grandson's wedding. What a joy it is to see him soooo happy and in love. Two years ago in March his mom died at 42 and his heart was broken. He met his love around that time and she is adorable. Happy times.

I appreciate your heads up post today. I am always alert to this kind of email. I never give my personal info to anyone I don't know. Good for you for checking this out.

I just read your previous post too. I found myself with a bit of time on my computer while my daughter's family are still sleeping. Finding time for my blogging friends makes me soooo happy. I have really been busy this Christmas season. More than usual.

Your flowers are gorgeous. I love the photos too. And...the veggie soup looks delicious. My favorite soup by far.

Have a wonderful day.
Warm hugs and love,
Jeanne

Great info, BJ. I have had several emails from hotmail saying the same thing and new it had to be a scam since hotmail has my info.

Good that you caught the scam mail. Its awful we have to be on our toes all the time.... and I don't have my ballet toe shoes any longer, it sure would help....

The other tricky one going around is from banks if you do your online banking and by phone too. My mother is elderly but thank the lord she knew the call she received was not from her bank.

I love the wolf in sheep's clothing photo.

Thanks for reminding us to be on guard.

That's a timely post because the scammers get busier usually right after the year starts and after holidays because people are very distracted. Thanks BJ.

Hi B.J...I get them all the time also - you'd think they would get tired of sending them and being deleted. Love your idea of the funny cards on your plates - you are so creative! Have a happy new year!

Hi BJ
I too have had these messages and supposedly from our bank. I just forward them to the bank's phishing dept. as requested. Bet they never get to the bottom of it because they appear again a month or two later.
I also had an email from a supposed soldier in Afganistan that found a barrel of money he needed help with getting out of the country......yeah right!
Have a good day.

Scary stuff! My husbands email got hijacked a few months ago by someone in Nigeria. He never got it back and had to start all over. Our old computer got a virus that tracked our keystrokes evidently. We had good virus protection even. Just not good enough. I have gotten lots of emails like you show, but don't answer them. Thanks for putting the info out there for others!

Good reminder, Dearie! We KNOW not to pay attention to anything, we don't fully understand. But we might get lax, at times.

The DELETE key is our friend!!!

If someone really needs to get in touch with us, they will. In some way, in which we can feel secure.

Gentle Jan. hugs...

Thank you so much BJ for this information. I get a lot of things through spam, but never open them. However, one day recently I received an email from someone I knew, but my computer alerted that it contained a virus. So I deleted it.

Yup, any email that asks for your personal info is a scam. They can make it look so professional, though, and that's why so many people fall for them. I always find it such a shame that some people have to ruin it for others. Glad you're putting the word out there to beware!!! xoxo

Thanks for the phishing post BJ. These things can look so real and come attached to names and businesses that we trust!
