*********
I have always just LOVED beautiful paintings of fruit.
I think this one of oranges is so pretty.
♥♥♥
...and speaking of oranges...
I have to say that I am terribly in luv with this cute
fresh oranges sack....
I'm pretty sure I will save it...
on that same shelf where I have
empty fruit cans....
..am I becoming... *gasp......a hoarder
?
I mean....WHO saves little paper sacks ?
I am TRYING to eat more of a healthy breakfast.
I KNOW
pancakes...
french toast..
cheesy scrambled eggs...
biscuits and gravy...
PIE....
these things aren't very good for us..
especially
EVERY SINGLE MORNING !
I figure if I throw in
ONE
good, healthy breakfast
a week...
well....
that means only SIX aren't very healthy
as opposed to
SEVEN !
Now, I haven't made this
ORANGE CAKE...
but I've been told by several that THIS is a fantastic recipe...
I just may make it this afternoon..
Then, in the morning, I could have a big slice of it
FOR BREAKFAST
since we all know
ORANGES ARE GOOD FOR US.
;))

  3. Oh, I love orange cake. I'll have to try your recipe. You have my mouth watering. I thought I would let you know if you need to tackle a paint project that Valspar is giving away a Power of Paint kit. Details on my blog.

  5. You've got me craving oranges now! lol Love that little bag, don't blame you for wanting to keep it. Yup that orange cake just HAS to be good for you:-) My mom once made an orange cake and it was so moist and delicious, must ask her if she still has the recipe. Sometimes she follows a recipe in a magazine then forgets which magazine she saw it in! lol xoxo

  6. I like the way you think, BJ. If I made that loaf I would eat it for breakfast along with my vitamins :)

  7. BJ,
I thought one was a hoarder ONLY if they DIDN'T use the things they were keeping. You, like me, use EVERYTHING. .. right? ? ? Adore the orange sack! Think I'd stay away from that Orange Cake for at least a week. But then, maybe not!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  8. Here's what I just finished baking for my breakfast: rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, walnuts, and just a bit of melted butter. Bake for 20 minutes at 350. After 10 minutes, mix it up so it toasts evenly. I eat 1/2c every morning with vanilla soy milk and 1/2 a banana and a glass of OJ. Delish! Hey - I'm in California after all (:

  18. Last year, my theme color was orange. I tried umpteen orange recipes and can say honestly that I loved them all. I'll need to try that cake and add it to my stash of orange treats.

Laughed at hoarding the bag. I would have hoarded it too. I realize that's no comfort, but...

  19. Thehe is nothing wrong in saving certain paper sacks. Please do not become a hoarder. I know people that are and the life they live is terrible. I love good fresh orange juice.

  24. The orange painting is so pretty. It stands to reason that orange cake for breakfast is much healthier than chocolate.

  26. On the topic of non-healthy breakfasts, but also oranges, I LOVE the Pillsbury (I think) cinnamon rolls with the orange icing....yummy!! With a big cup of sweet, hot coffee...mmmmm! :p

P.S. I would totally save that bag and frame it. In fact I may start stalking my local produce departments. :)
