A "make my heart sing" breakfast...

DEEDS, our youngest grandgirl, spent the night with us
and we were getting things ready for her
9TH BIRTHDAY !
1/10/11
We snuggled in bed and watched our favorite..
FRIED GREEN TOMATOES
and both of us cried when RUTH died.
WHERE did the years go so fast?
I remember the day, exact time, she was born as if it were yesterday...
and now....she is 9.
Our baby....
Look how big her jacket looks, hanging on the hat rack...
bwaaaaaa
...and that's her LOOONG,  9 year old leg.
We have this one door facing that I measure all the kids from time to time..
Look...in '04, she was so short and tiny...
Now, look at her !
Her granddad went to the store for
PEARS and Donut Bars...
And, I got out my VINTAGE and THRIFTED
CHEERY CHERRY DISHES
because she LUVS them and always wants breakfast in them.
I keep looking for more of these delightful dishes but....
FRUIT LOOPS,
out of a cheery cherry bowl ...
 ALWAYS tastes better..
What a little hoot she is...
I am sitting right across from her, snapping right and left,
and it's all she can do to keep from laughing..:))
I lit all the candles in the fireplace for a little
ambiance...
EVEN A LITTLE 9 YEAR OLD LIKES CANDLES
Coffee with CHOCOLATE MINT TRUFFLE and a sprinkle of cinnamon...

My daddy used to say, "I could stretch a mile if I didn't have to walk back."
Where's that little, tiny girl that's been replaced with
this bigger beauty ?
Ahhh, well, I am enjoying this bigger girl so much..
and I
LOVE HER TO THE MOON AND BACK.
♥♥♥
She had 3 friends over for a sleep-over and
they had such a good time.
♥♥
HAPPIEST 9TH BIRTHDAY, DEEDS.
