ANOTHER FUN CHRISTMAS TABLE

A lot of times when we have guests..especially if it's for a game on TV
or an extra special movie,
I set a buffet style table in the living room.
My favorite ICE KING SANTA CLAUS
always works wonderfully as a centerpiece..
I love him so much, I wanna marry him..
I love MARK ROBERTS FAIRIES and I am the proud owner of two.
If you came to my CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE,
you have already seen the both of them.

This beautiful CHRISTMAS FAIRY was given to me by
ANDE a couple of Christmases ago..
She has a private blog now. :((
I miss you, Ande.

Cutest little salt and pepper from WALMART clearance, last year.
They almost look like they are in a Christmas forest...

The GREEN flatware was on the clearance table
at DOLLAR GENERAL..
$2.00 for the 4 place settings..
Of course, they are very cheap  inexpensive and may not last through an entire dinner...:(

Cutest little CHRISTMAS PLATES...

The beautiful  VINTAGE green goblets were my mother's.
Bless her heart, everything really nice that she wanted, she always
had to either put them on lay-away
or just buy a few at a time.
I remember one year for Christmas, we gave her 2 ..
I am guessing that was all the money WE had....:(
She was so proud when she finally got a set of  8.
Now, I have them but...
I sure would rather have my little mama than these ole glasses !!
*
While I was having breakfast this morning,
I took the time to thumb through some beautiful Christmas catalogs..
WILLIAMS SONOMA being one.
*huge heavy sigh.....
I found these ADORABLE
12 Days of Christmas plates..
I am sooo totally in love !

I've never seen anything so darn CUTE !
Now, I would be LUVIN'
being able to set a casual table with these adorable dishes.
*
I had my post all ready and just  a few days before I was
ready to publish it,
I came across THIS table, set with MACKENZIE CHILDS COURTLY CHECK.
It took me 15 minutes to catch my breath and get up off the floor
and then she hit me with THIS....

MY COVETED DISHES...
BOTH SETS...
bwaaaaaaaa..!
HYPERVENTILATING  here...
;O)
I hope I don't forget to put
cookies and milk
out for MR. SWEET SANTA..
These store bought Christmas cookies are really good.
Not too sweet but...sweet enough.
Crisp and crunchy, if you want...
or
softer if you put them in a cookie jar.
I'm off to meet with my sweet friend, MARTHA,
for an ice cream soda
and exchanging of Christmas gifts...
...always F.U.N.
♥♥♥

MERRIEST CHRISTMAS..
I LOVE YOU ALL..

My thanks to all the hosts.
My thanks to DEBBIE of MOUNTAIN BREATHS
for letting me use her beautiful photos...

It must be fun to visit your place. You're an amazing hostess with an attention for pleasing and delightful details. What a nice story about your mother's goblets. She loved you far more than them so I know she's thrilled that you're enjoying them now.

Oh those green glasses are just gorgeous! And I envy your green flatware! I am on the llokout for some. They didn't have those plates at the outlet this year. They did last year though. I will keep my eyes open for them!
Your table looks wonderful!
A blessed Christmas to you, and don't marry the Santa! You have a good guy already!

Everything is beautiful at your home! It's so nice that you have your mother's goblets. My mother is gone, too, but I treasure the things she left behind, just as you do. Hope you have a warm and wonderful holiday! Annie

Love those twelve days of Christmas dishes! My favorite thing, though, is the green goblets. I would love some like them. The fact that they were loved by your mom makes them all the more special.

Those Santa fairies are just wonderful, too.

I hope you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS BJ!

Oh, I had to laugh, the item on your beautiful table that caught my eye first was the incredible green flatware! I wonder if our dollar store has them. I am sure they will last just fine and what a match for your heirloom glasses.

I agree, those 12 Days of Christmas plates are wonderful and you have me salivating at the Mackenzie Childs court plates now too. To think a couple of weeks ago I didn't even know about that fun and expensive little habit! Have a wonderful and magical Christmas surrounded by loved ones and filled with love dear.

Hint a little to hubby to read this post...you may just get your dishes....wouldn't hurt to try. Merry Christmas Trish

Keep checking William Sonoma. Those plates will go on half-price sale after Christmas, if they still have them in stock. If you go on their websit, click on 'store locator,' and when you get to that page scroll down until you locate 'Outlet Stores.' There will be a phone number for each of their outlets...you can start calling to see if they get a set...and they'll be a good price. Thanks for sharing your mom's green goblets...they are spectacular. Merry Christmas! Cherry Kay

I can certainly see why you want to marry that Santa...isn't he a handsome fellow! Your table looks wonderful.

We opened gifts from my dad night before last (we put him on a plane home yesterday). One of mine was the WS apron that matches those dishes. Twelve days of Christmas on a wonderful apron...I love it! Dad did very well with all of his shopping.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Hi BJ, when I was a young girl, my family would go around on Christmas Eve to visit family and friends and wish them a Merry Christmas. It's good to continue to celebrate our traditions and remember blessed Christmas' past. Wishing you and yours the happiest Christmas. Your posts where you talk about the things you and your Mom used to do still touch my heart!

Merry Christmas BJ! If there are any left, they have the 12 days plates on sale 50% off. I bought mine two years ago in NYC on sale, and also bought the "party box" that contained party invitations, paper plates, paper napkin rings, etc. You will NEVER tire of them :-)

I love your mom's glasses, and your beautiful tablescape. I see you have a birthday coming up soon, so I'm going to pop back over to send you sweet wishes!

I need to start looking at Dollar General, the flatware is sooo pretty. I love that courtly check dinnerware too, I think it would go with a lot of things. Happy Christmas BJ:>)

What a pretty table. I love your Ice King Santa too - love the long beard! Your glasses are so pretty and festive for Christmas, but I understand what you mean about wishing you had your mom instead.

Hope you enjoy a wonderful Christmas!

Sarah said...

Merry Christmas, BJ! It all looks festive! Of course I'm now thinking I have to have the 12 Days of Christmas plates. I gave myself the CC chargers last Christmas. ;-) The two do make a beautiful table. Don't usually have 12 for Christmas Eve dinner though. Guess I'd have to have a "big" dinner party. LOL
Thanks for sharing the joy, sweet friend. Enjoy the day! ~ Sarah
