THIS and THAT

September 22...
HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY to LACEY JEAN CONKLIN...
You are such a blessing to us and to everyone that knows you.
We love you to the moon and back.
LOVE FOREVER AND EVER, Memaw and Granddad
**********************************************************************
I'm all over the page with this post
.....just a few things I like...
some, I LOVE..
I'm not thinking that it's wrong to love "things"...
GOD gave us so many kinds of LOVE and HE knows, I hope,
that when we say "Oh, I just love my new car." it is
not anywhere CLOSE to the kind of love we have for HIM...
or our families..friends..
It is more a "saying" than anything else...don't you think?
*
I like these cardboard boxes a LOT...
THIS AND THAT...
I don't have a single solitary thing in them...
They are around just for pure CUTENESS...
*
I had several friends that wanted a set but the store I bought them from
is now out of business...and not a one of the friends would take MINE...I would
gladly give them.
Think I'll just google and see if I might find some...
Wouldn't that be an awesome gift for one that had been wanting some!!!
Google it is !!
*
I saw this adorable
"LOST SOCKS GATHER HERE"
and had to have it...
*

It is the cauuutest thing you've ever seen...
Looks adorable on my laundry closet shelf...
Go HERE if you might want to order one...great gift idea, too.
I love mine...
*
but now that I think on it....
I could have used that money elsewhere...
Maybe "paid it forward" and paid for someones meal at
a local resturant..
I do this a lot...do you?
I mean I buy something and then think....I SHOULD have done 'this' or 'that' with the money.
*sigh
*
...these are my favorite fallish colors..
russet reds...dark golds...khaki ...
Not much on orange but I do use it a little...
especially at HALLOWEEN...
THEN, Orange is FUN !
*
....lovin' hot buttered breads..
**
...and love love love POTTERY BARN knockoffs...
$199.00 PLUS shipping....
**
It's just fun to "get the look" without the price..
*

I ADORE beautiful skies...
whether it be bright and shiny...
or clouds galore, promising rains...
*

I can't remember if these are from POTTERY BARN or ANTHROPOLOGE
or maybe .....CRATE and BARELL...one of the ADORABLE stores, anyway...
*
I sure do like them....A LOT !!
YIPEE for the person that invented
beautiful BLACK VINYL NUMBERS...
*

AND, OH BOY...I do love THESE..
Crunchy TAQUITOES...
only with FLOUR TORTILLAS...
O HONEY !
*
I am loving my mantel but now it's time to change it up
some for FALL..
WHITE PUMPKINS...
All of mine will be white this year, I am thinking...
Possibly ONE little tiny PUMPKIN colored pumpkin to sit in my tiny blue chair...
I'll show ya later...
*
I love the texture of the vintage shuttered SWINGING DOORS
with the quilt my mother made so many years ago....
....these are in my dining room and I have so many things there that
either belonged to my mother or she had given to me.
Sometimes, when all is quite and I am at the dining table...
I can honestly FEEL her there, right beside me...I can just almost see her...
Am I losing it ???
Do you still want to be my friend...:)
**

I've been cleaning closets and such today..
no time for baking so I reached back in the PAST for this
luscious LEMON PIE...
YOU can have it...
I've already eaten MY slice....
:>)

Thanks for sharing your favorite things with us. I'll take a slice of the pie please LOL

You are a fun lady, BJ! I don't need the lost sock bag. DH does his own wash, so if he loses a sock, he finds it! He is much better at laundry than I am...:) My mom always said don't be too good at things or people will always ask you to do them! :)

Hi Bj: I just love all your goodies! The boxes are the best. Everything looks so pretty. Have a wonderful week. It should be easy, you don't have to look for the missing socks! Blessings, Martha

I can't speak for everyone else but I still want to be your friend! And my love for this time of year? Easy - candy corn.

Hi bj, Yes, I will always want to be your friend. Your post just makes me smile. I love my 'things' too but I know their are many things that are more valuable, like 'family.' I want a lost sock bag. It is chronic in this house. HA! Very cute!

Gotta get ready to play bridge with my dh. I swore I would never be his bridge partner. Never say never, HA!. We actually love being partners in everything we do.

Love you bunches,
Jeanne

I am not convinced that you are not a professional decorator...Everything is always so perfect. And by the way...I love those canisters with the numbers on them...

I could sure enjoy a piece of that lemon pie right now! We like a lot of the same things...so we definitely could be good friends! And NO, you are not losing it. There are times when I feel my daughter very close!

Nothing replaces LOVE. It is a shame more people do not understand what it means. Unconditional love is hard to find. That is a cute couple. Both seem very happy.

O.K., I came all the way back (from Chicago to Texas) to check out the size of those letters. No, I don't think they are too big. I think they are the perfect size. Now, please send me those "this and that" boxes!!!!! = )

Seriously, I think we could make them. I'm going to check out what Hobby Lobby has. Wouldn't they make great gifts? I still want yours.

Best,
Bonnie

Hi BJ,

I like the numbers you added to your canisters.

Just thought I'd drop by to say hello and let you know I had bad luck removing my word verification thingie...I've been fighting spam posts everyday so it's back in action again. {sigh} Such a pain to have to use it but it's an even bigger one otherwise.

Hope you are having a great week,
Stephanie ♥

Sometimes I just love posts like this one. It lets us get to know each other a little better when we see what someone else loves (and yes, I love things too).

BJ, missed this one earlier. That wicker desk is a super bargain. Hope someone takes that home and makes good use of it. Thanks for the slice of lemon pie. My fav! ~ Sarah
