I have been using the NEWER editor to post...
It is about to drive me N.U.T.S.
I am pulling my silver hair right out of my head..
My photos are moving all over the place..
We ALL need to start using it so we can get used to it because...
THEY ARE TAKING AWAY THE OLD EDITOR...bwaaaaaaa...
I just HATE change...is it a senior thing ??
These stories of your special times with grandchildren make me look forward to some day having some little grands of my own! Deeds sounds like such a precious little girl and I can see how much she loves you and Mr. Sweet. What a gift from God to have the love of little ones:>)
ReplyDeleteCute, and I'll bet they were great! I noticed the new "add picture" thingy too... Guess they have to keep us on our toes:@)
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious nickname, how glorious she can hang her hats at your place.Ann
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh that is just the cutest. Well, of course she can make strawberries and whipped cream! Love this.
ReplyDeleteMy grandson used to love to cook with me but I think he's growing out of it. But Granddaughter M loves it now. They both like to crack the eggs...that seems to be the most fun. I have several posts about some of the things we've cooked up. My DIL cooks VERY little so hopefully the two grands will learn from me!
ReplyDeleteBJ, love the nickname Deeds. and Deirdre is the name of one of my former students who is very dear to my heart. She spells her name differently.
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing! She did a wonderful job on those strawberries with cream!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!!
xo,
Kathleen
Oh how I love those special times with my grand kids too!!! We made a double batch of molasses cookies yesterday and I had bought new fall cookie cutters so they had a blast with them! Of course I took pictures that will appear in my blog at some point........ :o) I'm with you, I wish they would stay little longer, sigh..... xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI love her name:) She is precious with her strawberries and whip cream... Love it!
ReplyDeleteTogether times with the granddaughter is tops in my favorite things to do!
Have a blessed day dear BJ! HUGS
What a beatiful name and a very cute nickname! She is a wonderful cook too, ha! Enjoy her!

Happy Pink Saturday, dear BJ.
ReplyDeleteYour family must adore you. You are such a sweetheart.
I love the quote "If I had known how much fun it is to have grandchildren, I would have had them first". Mine are growing up so fast and the milestones are posted on the growth chart on my wall. Your little one sounds darling, enjoy every minute with her.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Your Grand is a smart cutie-pie! Contriving recipes, already. :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I hate CHANGE too! Sure wish Blogger would tell us WHEN they are taking away our OLD Editor. If you look in Blogger Help, it looks like they've been "threatening" this, for a long time. Do you see that too????
I tried to use it yesterday, and gave up on putting a pic into a post. :-( Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
Come to think of it, maybe they shouldn't be messin' with "Sweet Aunt Bridget"...
>,-)
Such a cute nickname, and she's already cooking!:)
ReplyDeleteAww how sweet! making memories is so fun isn't it? Being a grandmother is the BEST! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteDenise
Deeds sounds like a sweetie to me, how lovely that she made dessert and shared it with granny.
ReplyDeleteMaggiedessert
Special times with grandchildren and the best! I love each and every one I get. Right now I am blessed with a long visit from our 20 year old Texas granddaughter taking a breather from college.
ReplyDeleteI love how nick names came to be...we have some funny ones in our family...Beannie for Hannah, Bear of Alexandra, Pico for Travis and the list marches on...
Yes, I do love roses! I guess it shows lol!
Hugs,
Jil
I tell ya, you are living my dream!! I so hope and pray that I get to have such fun times one day. Deeds sounds like the granddaughter that lives in my heart and head.

Nothing can ever replace the quality time spent with this child. I loved hearing about her cooking experience.
ReplyDeleteOh BJ..Loved reading about Deeds and I love her nickname. Original and sooo sweet!
ReplyDeleteI just have the one grandchild...my darling Miss K. She will be 8 in November and I'm thinking she will be our only one for at least another two years. She steals my heart away and I'm blessed by her more than I can say!
I feel your grandma love my friend. I can tell you my grandmother changed my very life. I can only HOPE to have such a profound influence on the grandchild God sends our way. I sure can tell you are loved.
Blessings to you this PINK SATURDAY! Hope your day is wonderful!

Miss Bloomers
Change is definitely an age thing... I think we still love being spontaneous - but in a controlled way, lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
It is wonderful your grands are so close and share so much of their lives with you! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious nickname!
ReplyDeletegreat post!
Happy pink saturday!
xoxo
I thought that Deeds was a nickname! And what a sweet, precious granddaughter she is.
ReplyDeleteSo they are changing our editor for blogs? Argh! Why don't they leave well enough alone? lol
Guess I will have to just adapt to change after all.

BJ, I've wondered about the name "Deeds" too. What a cute nickname. Love your artistic picture of hats on the rack. Congratulations on your cookbook win. Looks like it will be fun, even though you've already done past the strawberries and cream!! Cute! Thank you so much for linking to Favorite Things Sat. laurie
ReplyDeleteBeing a grandmother too appreciate your lovely comments. So sweet. I also can't stand the new photo feature. I just get used to one way and they change it...aaarghhh..Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteSweet story!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan and Bentley
xxoo
Happy Pink Saturday Thank you for sharing...Health,Wealth and Love..
ReplyDeleteOk..well I would have dropped in and told her that "bj" says "Hey!" but...you didn't leave a link that I could find..so..I couldn't..
ReplyDeleteDern the luck!!
All Granddaughters should hang their hats at their Grandmothers house from time to time...say..every day??? :)
That is indeed a cute name!
I don't blame you for wanting to keep her little for as long as possible. It's not working for me either. I love the title of that book. I may have to add that to my bag of tricks.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.
- The Tablescaper
I too was wondering where she got the name. I've never used the old editor, I don't think. So I'm fairly well use to this one. What are you having problems with?
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Now see??? I told you what happened to me and it seems it is now getting to you...HOW I suffered with the change.
ReplyDeleteA senior thing...oh, bj, who cares. It drove me crazy! Ok..so it's a senior thing. LOL
OH MY GOSH! They are taking away the old blogger?? I tired the new one when it came out and could not do a thing with it.
ReplyDeleteLet's see, I do vaguely remember getting a letter from blogger. Guess I better go read it.
No it's not a senior thing. I am only 62, and I do not like change either. (Unless it is a change I want.) =)
hugs and blessings
barbara jean
PS too cute post about your granddaughter and the strawberries.
ReplyDelete=)
Deeds is an absolutely adorable nick-name. How fun to have such special times together, BJ.
ReplyDeleteI don't use blogger to post, so I have no clue what all the hoopla is about. I guess I could go check it out just in case Windows Live Writer goes blooey on me! But I absolutely love using Writer- haven't used blogger for over a year. It's so much easier and I have so many more options.

I am a big fan of Holly's too. She is lovely. What a great prize!
ReplyDeleteI have been using the new editor for a few months now and find it really easy to work with. It is blogger itself that is a pain in the proverbial!!!Some days on blogger I am ready to give up and move over to wordpress but I shall persevere...
Happy blogging sweet BJ.
Natasha.

You tell a sweet story. That grand girl is darling! I love her nickname too. You are one sweet lady, off to see your friend. Blessings to sweet BJ from Colorful Colorado! Anne
