There's so many pretty things to choose from....
MY GIVEAWAY WILL CLOSE AT 10:00 P.M. CENTRAL FRIDAY, 20TH...THANKS!

***********************************************
I did a little baking this week...
*
MORE Chocolate Chip/Pecan/Cranberry
OATMEAL COOKIES..
*
It's always a toss-up around SWEET NOTHINGS kitchen to make
CRISPY or SOFT cookies...which should it be??
*

I'm weighing that question....very carefully..

I LOVE the GOOSEBERRY PATCH COOKBOOKS..
every single thing I've tried from them has turned out so good. It's such a pretty book, I just wanted to use it in my photos...:)
*
THESE cookies didn't come from a recipe in this book but the cookbook sure has some great recipes..
*
NOPE...I will admit to YOU...because I LOVE YA....
OATMEAL.! COOKIE.! MIX. !
....i just added all the extras plus a big teaspoon of PURE VANILLA
(I DID tell you once that I am a huge fan of SEMI HOMEMADE....right?)

Just add your favorite things...

cranberries, golden raisins, walnuts, pecans, coconut..ummmmm....

These are on their way to our Sunday night dinner with the
HOME FELLOWSHIP GROUP we belong to.
It's PIZZA night !!
woo hooness.....
I am still "weighing" the decision between

#1. DARKER AND MORE CRISP COOKIES (on your left)
or
#2. LIGHTER AND SOFTER COOKIES (the other batch)
**
How 'bout YOU ?
...CRISPY .....(MY favorite)
...SOFT....(MR. SWEET'S favorite)
??
*

Awwwww.....WHAT THE HECK....I'll jut take

TWO OF EACH, if you please...and an icy cold glass of MILK.

  5. I made oatmeal cookies this week too. They tasted good, but were a bit soggy! I guess it is too humid!
So tonight I sliced up some apples, added cinnamon, sugar, lemon jce and a tiny bit of buttah!, crumbled those soggy oatmeal raisin cookies on top and baked in indiv ramekins. DEEElicious, of course a dollop of vanilla ice cream didn't hurt!
I like all the things you picked in your newest post.
Yesterday dh and I installed 2 hall lights I ordered from CSN.
I am not sure if I am thrilled with them or not. It is always hard to pick something like that without seeing them in person.
But they are up, and that's that.
Let the next owner deal with it...:)
    And your cookies look delicious!
Your pecans will be like GOLD, BJ. I checked the prices in Costco yesterday, OUCH!

  14. Hi bj, guess what Beverly did for me? Come over and see. BIG smile.

I love soft cookies best. also lots of stuff added to the recipe. I have not tried the mixes but you could say I am convinced that would be a good thing. Mmmmmm. Home made cookies are my weakness,

No wonder Mr, Sweet loves you so much. You know they say how to reach a man's heart is through his stomach!!!

    Love you bunches, Jeanne

  18. Add cranberries, golden raisins, walnuts, pecans... To a box mix! Super idea!!!

I've found a Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie mix (Betty Crocker), which is yummmmmmmmy! Even the low Fat version, using Canola Oil instead of the butter. But!!! I sift out the Chocolate Chips, 'cause of the Sat/Fat and 'cause I can't eat chocolate. [Yes, one would think that I'd be a "Twiggie," with all the goooood stuff I can't eat anymore hu? NOT! -le sigh-]

Anyway, I've been thinking of something to add to the mix, to perk it up, in place of the Ch. Chips. Thought of some Lemon Flavoring. But your idea is better!!!!!!!

    Thank you!!!!

Seeeee! I can read here, and not just *perish* from seeing all the deeeeeeeelicious goodies, which I can't eat. I can get ideas, for gluten free goodies, which I can eat. :-))))))))))))

Oh and for anyone who is also gluten free diet, Betty Crocker makes Gluten Free Brownie mix and White Cake mix and Chocolate Cake mix, I think. I only get the not-Chocolate stuff, so not sure about the cake. But they do make a Brownie Mix.

    Huggles....

  27. I'd have to go with those soft cookies! Oh my! Such yummy goodness you have there. I am not supposed to have many sweets, but treats like these would not be around long since I would be too tempted to gobble them up! At least I can safely drool over them since I'm in Ohio and you're way far away in Texas.
