WHITE WEDNESDAY RE-POST

HAPPY WEDNESDAY...
half way thru the week.....
*

I am joining in with FADED CHARM COTTAGE for

WHITE WEDNESDAY

I am staying with GRANDS this week and I am using an older post for today's FUN !!

I absolutely LOVE anything WHITE..
especially WHITE dishes..
I've been seeing all the beautiful
ALL WHITE
rooms and wondering how I would like that.
*
I like color...
but I THINK I am liking it less and less...
*
WHITE rooms are so CLEAN looking..
CALMING...
**
Times are that I NEED clean and especially CALM !!
*
MR. SWEET likes his brown leather sofas...
but SARAH ...the one that lives in A BEACH COTTAGE, down under...
says all white goes WONDERFULLY with leather..
*
I have a lot of BLACK painted furniture that
would look AWESOME
painted WHITE....
BUT.....
just the THOUGHT of emptying hutches....
stripping....
sanding....
cussing...
sweating...
painting...
cussing....
**
doesn't bring CALM to me right now...
*
I think I'd better give it more INTENSE thought...
SUMMERTIME is not the time to be
WORKING
that much, is it?
*
...think I'll just stick with
WHITE DISHES....
**
AND MAYBE JUST A TOUCH OF.....RED

Loved your post. Agree with all your choices. LOL, especially all the work on the paint change. Particularly like the touch of red at the end. blessings

I paint in the winter and garden in the summer. Your white dishes are as pretty as you are charming. Happy WW! olive♥

I struggle with wanting the white look as I love the bright colors as well. I have lately decided to go more neutral and add the colors in pillows and accessories.
I wish I had half of the beautiful dishes you have. You are styling, girl.

Wonderful white post!! I've been looking for dishes like yours with the divided spaces. The kids would love them. A touch of red is always good :)

Your white dishes are gorgeous! I LOVE all things white, too, and have a few pieces of dark wood furniture that I want to paint. But, like you, I dread the whole process of it all. I WILL do it, though! ;o)
Happy WW!

I love to look at your pics, but where is the English on the translator. I can't read a thing. Hope you can get it added. Hugs, Marty

Ok, finally saw the button that said original. Now I can read it. I was wondering what in the world was going on. Very confusing. Guess I am not very savvy. I love all of your gorgeous white. That little bunny lamp is fantastic. Love it. Hugs, Marty

Hello BJ, I'm like you...I love the white rooms but I also like color too. I'm afraid if I paint some of my furniture that I'll regret it later...I'm such a woos. I think I'll start with something small first or even just one room and see how I like it. Don't think I'll go 'all white' though..we live on a dirt road in the country after all! Love your white dishes and that good looking pastry too. Have a wonderful Wednesday....Maura :)

Hmmm, so what kind of lame excuse is it about the GRANDS??? huh??? They sure can keep us busy, eh?? But I noticed you changed some colors on your blog! Have a happy week and yes, whites are nice.

LOL yep refinishing furniture is a lot of work, I really want to paint my kitchen table and chairs white and my husband says no, the only reason I don't take to arguing is because of all that work!@!!

Ohhh BJ, I love white dishes too and I have a set that I use all the time. I am eyeballing my big bookshelf and thinking about a creamy white instead...but all of that sandin' well, it keeps stopping me. Maybe in the Fall.

Hugs,
Dena

Hope the Grands are being cooperative! :-)

Oh I get so enamoured of all white looks too! Oh my yes! But around here, everything is wood, because of the "Resident Woodworker" who so loves wooooooooood. :-) I'd never be able to break his heart and paint everything white.

Maybe I'd better look for some buys on white plates too!!!!!!!!!!

Gentle hugs...

I agree with you about white being calming. I like the mix of different shades of white that helps tie in darker pieces of furniture with white. I am going mostly white, but there are family pieces that I just cannot do that to, so I accessorize the dark pieces with white to tie them into my rooms. Thanks for sharing and I know what you mean about white dishes. I have 3 sets of white dishes!!!

Morning BJ...I love that new header pic!!! I have some old 'love letters' from Bill when he was stationed in Korea way back when..I really should do something like that!
Girl the older I get the more I crave creamy whites and browns and blacks and just looking at your pics adds fuel to the fire! lol
It was so good to hear from you sweetie...yes we are moving again in a couple of months..see we leased this house last year so I could live within a couple of minutes from mama and daddy and take care of them back when mama had fell and daddy was in the hospital twice with double pneumonia...now they are able to do for themselves again and they are downsizing and moving to a smaller place where all yard work is taken care of for them...so Bill and I are moving back to our own home we bought 9 yrs ago..the one with my porches and my huge back yard and flowers...squeal!!!! lol I still am looking for my country house though...one with a BIG kitchen! Have a great time with your grands girl..love this post...take care~Picket~

Hi BJ, I bet that since that post was written that you have collected more white!

White mixes well with just about anything, so keep mixing it up and you'll have the best of both worlds.
