We really did enjoy our trip to Alaska..
Being on a beautiful ship, seeing beautiful country
was a dream come true.

These pieces of glaciers floating in the water were just AWESOME...
This is one of my favorite photos of MR. SWEET...
He has had " GOING TO ALASKA" as Number 1 on his BUCKET LIST ever since I first met him over 50 years ago..this photo ...just says it ALL, to me...
Twin waterfalls right beside our ship...AMAZING !
Beauty EVERYwhere we looked...
I had this email from my friend, RAINEY, and wanted to share it with you....and she said OK...
"Hello BJ my dear!
I am so happy you enjoyed Alaska like you did... One can't articulate how amazing it is... you just have to experience it! Now imagine being in Juneau all summer and cooking on a beautiful 70 yacht all week. Surrounded with all that amazing scenery! I used to scoop out glacier pieces with the net... bring them into the galley and chip off pieces and make the guests drinks with hunks of glacier. Then I would use the rest for the dinner buffet table "Ice Sculpture" . The pure ice is beautiful, lasts a long time and it was a unique experience for my guests! I cracked up at Sho, teasing you like that! That is the purest water on earth.
I just love looking at your photos and reading about your experiences!
Someday I will do a post about my adventures as the chef on the High Hopes II in Juneau Alaska... It was one of the most exciting and challenging times of my life! So many amazing things happened there... When I think back its almost like another lifetime! I could write a book about it... I thought about writing a book while I was up there... But I was just so busy... I guess I have the time now that I am retired! Rainey
Oh, we hope you WILL write a book someday, Rainey...how interesting and fun that experience must have been for you.....
OK, SHELIA..I was SNAPPING all over the place.....JUST FOR YOU !! This was on board ship....
I don't have a single solitary clue as to WHY I am stooping...surely it wasn't a SHORT mirror...

I am a proud member of the BATHROOM BEAUTY SNAPPERS, whose CEO is MIZZ SHELIA..
Now I guess THIS is an ALASKAN BIKINI...(or is it underwear ?? )
This was in the window of a cute store in KETCHIKAN...
You gotta love the humor of it !! ;-)
We really did have a lot of fun in KETCHIKAN...
We found a CANDY store...while MR. SWEET was getting out his MONEY,
the candy store lady said, "POSE" ....and.....I DID !
I don't have a clue why I can get into the goofiest poses...UNLESS....
