TEA...an interesting drink

The "Boston Tea Party"
On the evening of December 16, 1773, a group of men calling themselves the "Sons of Liberty" went to the Boston Harbor. The men were dressed as Mohawk Indians. They boarded three British ships, the Beaver, the Eleanor and the Dartmouth, and dumped forty-five tons of tea into the Boston Harbor.

Here we are again...
TEA TIME

Would you like a WILD BERRY ZINGER ?
*
**
The berry teas nearly all turn color and are so pretty in the cup...
PLUS....I do love the berry taste...
*
NET IMAGE
All tea begins as the plant known as Camellia Sinensis. It's the way the tea leaves are PROCESSED that gives us the different teas and their specific taste, color and scent.

The above is an image of fresh green TEA fields below Mount Fuji, the highest
mountain in Japan.

The possible beneficial health effects of tea consumption have been suggested and supported by some studies, but others have found no beneficial effects.

I have gathered several different tea cups...all different...

TEA LEAF READING ...
an ancient practice interpreting patterns made by tea leaves in the cup. In addition to the reading of tea leaves, the tradition of Tasseography includes the reading of coffee grounds and wine sediments. Although Tasseography is commonly associated with Gypsy fortunetellers, the tradition of tea leaf reading arises independently from Asia, the Middle East and Ancient Greece.

Sorry, Madame G....I just don't believe in this stuff but...
it MIGHT be fun to have my fortune read....just once !!
*
As you can see, I am offering you several different teas...
ALL little tea bags..
NO FRESH BREWED TEA here this morning....
but SOON....I promise..

PIE DOUGH...rolled really thin, drowned in
MELTED BUTTAH
SPRINKLED WITH CINNAMON and SUGAR...
baked to a GOLDEN BROWN...
absolutely PERFECT with a steaming cup of hot tea of your choice !!
*
My little momma made these all of my life.
She would make a pie and she ALWAYS had plenty of crust left to make the little sticks.
I didn't learn until I was grown that she made enough dough for TWO pies but made her pie and THEN
made my favorite little CINNAMON STICKS out of the rest of the dough.
AREN'T MOMS THE BEST !!

I love a good cup of tea with a good book...
I haven't read this one yet...
Looks good, tho...and I like the author.

Good morning my sweet friend...now girl this post just tugged at my heart...My Mama use to made the pie sticks for me as a kid and I still can remember standing by the oven waiting for them to be done ha ha!!
I know you were raised like me if it didn't come from your Mama's kitchen you didn't get it...My Mama even made me donuts ha ha!! Oh and girl I can still taste her homemade German egg noodles and chicken to this day in my minds eye sighs...I can still see her little hands rolling out that dough and letting it dry and me sneaking in and eating it ha ha!! Oh she would get so mad at me..One day I came in and I could smell the chicken so knew there were noodles but for the life of me could't find them..she had put them and the noodle board on the top of the frig to keep me out of them ha ha!!Hope all is well in Texas today my Dear friend..Thanks for the memories once again sighs...Hugs and smiles to ya, Gl♥ria

Nice tea post BJ. I had forgotten all about the cinnamon rolls I grew up with. Same thing, pie dough but rolled with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and cut into about 4 inch lengths.
I'll just think about them though because I know they're full of calories!!
