ROMANCING THE TABLE

THIS is a repost from last summer...
it's a ROMANTIC table..... and I wanted to share it again...

our Alaskan photos and getting posts ready, I'm just running in circles...
my nose is flat from running into my butt !

I can remember, years and years ago, that people didn't mix DOTS and STRIPES AND CHECKS together....AT ALL !!....Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES !!

omgosh...what they were missing !!

i love candle light, ESPECIALLY in the mornings...
starts my day off with a glowing feeling...
THIS is a perk of retirement...leisure breakfasts...

after all those years of "hurry, hurry...gotta get to work"...
*

three little vintage creamers...
lined up like little soldiers,
carrying sweet smelling roses from my garden...
luv that one in the middle....:))
*

cute little cups help dress up plain white plates and add a little smile while they are doing it !
*

another vintage sugar bowl from my tiny collection...
wonder why i love sugar bowls...with little tiny handles on the sides...
and a nice little lid on top ?
*
I love them...I surely do..
*
our country breakfast this morning...
hot, sweet dunkin donut coffee...ummm...
hot and spicy OWENS country sausage...
hot buns, toasted, and covered in homemade strawberry preserves...
eggs, scrambled with peppers and extra sharp cheddar cheese...
and did i say COFFEE..?...my favorite part of any meal !

Morning girl...ohhhh I love it when you do a post on FOOD!!!! lol You describe every little detail...makes you start drooling and heading toward the kitchen for something...anything...that even looks like it would be half as good as what you are having! lol

The table setting is so pretty and I LOVE that sweet little vintage sugar bowl...I never would have fitted in with all those rules of no mixing patterns...I have always been a 'mixer'...I think it adds a love and warmth that you just can't get from following 'rules'...loved my visit here this morning Bj...take care sweet friend and have a glorious week~ ~Picket~

In this day and time you can wear and mix anything together and it will not matter. The fashion trends today do not work well for us seniors. Loved your post.

All your black and white is so pretty! I am glad I stopped by to see it. It's nice that you start your days with candle light. I just love eating by candle light in the evening but I had never though of trying in the AM. Great idea!
