THE PARADE OF BEDROOMS....

G'morning, bloggers...

Altho I have posted my bedrooms a lot lately..I want to play in
SHOW OFF YOUR BEDROOM today.

This little bedroom went through some changes in 2008...
one of our guest bedrooms on your left...my inspiration room on the right..
.......
This little tiny room is now dressed TOTALLY DIFFERENT...
AS SEEN BELOW..
**
As you can see, I tried several different LOOKS above the bed...
...ending up with the signs from KIRKLANDS
that I just love.
They have the same colors as in the room and it just all "came together" when I
added them.
*********************
I do like CHANGE so I am loving the creamy whiteness of the walls..
allowing me to add any color under the sun that I might want to add later...
plus...I am just partial to CREAMY WHITE WALLS...:))
**
THEN CAME THE YELLOW ROOM....
The poor, pitiful room, top left, WAS my master bedroom...
sooo sad and neglected forEVER...
*
The photo on your right, top, is THE INSPIRATION photo of
a darling bedroom at CHERRY HILL COTTAGE .
Sooo,
after stripping a HORRIBLE, STUCK-TO-THE-WALL border,
I painted her in a light sunny yellow..
a wonderful color...love it..
**
Then, I bought the to*die*for red and white quilt from J.C. PENNEY
and my dream room took shape...
This was a year and a half ago and I am still
IN LUV...
**
Usually, in the hot summertime...
I strip off the QUILT and change things out a little.
*
Just a light weight coverlet..less pillows to worry with.......a summer time look....
summer time...
when the livin' is eaaaasy....
**
**

My second LITTLE TINY guest room is
UNDER CONSTRUCTION...
I go to bed in my YELLOW room every single night and
DREAM of the little room becoming THIS above room,
when it grows up..
and...it IS growing...piece by piece..IT WILL GET THERE.
*
"As God is my witness, I'll never go CUTELESS again!!"
Well, SCARLETT COULD have said that !

You really have the creative touch when it comes to bedrooms. Your guests must be thrilled when you show them their room.

I love creamy walls, too and then I got brave and did my family room in pale yellow. It was the best thing I have ever done! I don't think I can get any braver than that!!

Love your quilts!! Everything coordinates so well. I also love your wrought iron bed! Beautiful!

This looks like a fun party. You did great! :-)

Really pretty! What a difference a wall color changes makes! Your master bedroom looks just wonderful to retire to at the end of the day.

Well BJ what beautiful pictures. I guess my house is all grown up. I don't imagine I will do any more painting of walls at this point. Too darn expensive to hire someone and can't do it ourselves. But I can change the bedding and such. I so admire your energy and of course your creativeness. blessings

Oh BJ!!.. "never go cuteless again".. I LOVE your post today, which brings me a perfectly timed smile!!.. It seems a coincidence to see your beautiful rooms, as my room looks like a tornado hit it, right NOW at this very moment! I am just taking a small break from tearing it apart! Ever since the move, in OCTOBER, I have not been able to set it up in a way that WORKS for me!.. So "try, try again"! Now I've come to a point where I'm stuck till I can get what I need at the store... UGH!!.. But here you provide the most timely inspiration for me! Love your your pretty quilts and pillows! Everything looks absolutely as CUTE as can be! Just the refueling I need to get back to work! ((hugs)) ~tina

Hello BJ~first things first...your new profile pic is gorgeous!!
Your banner certainly describes your tittle...a lovely "nesting place."
I'm still shaking my head over the great deal you got on the GW red and white tea set.
I'd love a wicker tea cart and set like yours. The dot accessories are the perfect compliment.

Your beautiful guest rooms are very charming and welcoming. I would like to know when I can make a reservation for your lil' B&B.
We've lived in our home for 28 years and counting. I'm finally at a point where I'm very content with our house's nips and tucks. Maybe it comes with age, like you said... time is precious and simpler pleasures are very satisfying and greatly appreciated.
My home has very small rooms and for that reason, I've tried to use the beds and bedding as the main focal point. My family teases me about A-L-L the decorative pillows. They say...it takes longer to remove the pillows then it does getting ready for bed.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

You know I wouldn't be surprised if Scarlet did say something like that to Rhett! I LOVE what you did to all the bedrooms...there's something very calming about yellow don't you think? It's a cheery color too. Oh I can see why you dream about that model bedroom for your last room...WOW WOW WOW! Have fun putting your room together and we'll all be waiting to see how it turns out in the end. We all know it will be fantastic! Hope you have a wonderful weekend BJ...take care...Maura:)

You place is so lovely. I will be back when it is a bit earlier. 2:30 here now. I have day, or nights, when I can't remove myself from the computer.....

Come by and see me. I m just getting started and things have to be tweaked and rearranged. I'll get there, tho. Love your space.....
