A BEAUTIFUL HAPPY PINK SATURDAY and HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY

I am pretty sure there's a LOT of EASTER BUNNY RABBITS
running all throughout BLOGLAND...
Be sure to stop over at HOW SWEET THE SOUND for PINK SATURDAY
*
Around SWEET NOTHINGS, it wouldn't be EASTER
without MALTED MILK CANDY EGGS
*

Even my ole brown bunny put his PINK and GREEN tie on today....
*
Each plate held a tiny bucket of EASTER GOODNESS...
*
The same silver colored chargers..
the PINK plates are from Walmart, about 10 years ago.
I haven't found any more and I would LOVE to add more to the 6 I have.
*
*

The leaded glass candle holder makes me really smile..

I bought it from my little daughter 30 years ago when she sold them for a shool fund raiser. Like a lot of moms, I bought a LOT of school fund raiser products. Whole cartons of CHOCOLATE candy bars...lots of candles..once, she was selling whole frozen chickens to raise money in her AG class...We ate a LOT OF CHICKEN for awhile! :))

Just last week, the blossoms on the fruit trees were so beautiful....like these.
THIS week, the blooms are all falling off the trees.
Hoping there will be FRUIT this year but I have my doubts.
The tiny tin buckets are from Target for a dollar each..
*
sometimes, I wonder if I will EVER grow up...
*

...other times, I'm glad I haven't !!
*
OK, you will be seeing THIS again in the future on one of GOLLUM'S
TRAIN WRECKS IN THE KITCHEN episodes..

The recipe sounded so EASY..!!
IT WASN'T !
*
These kind of things have a way of MORPHING in the oven...
they go in looking pretty good...
then.....they morph into something entirely different.
*
YOU know what I'm talkin' 'bout, GOLLUM !!
*
...and....I heard you laughing, CUISINE KATHLEEN...
QUIT IT !!
**
AND YOU, TOO, JUSTINEY !!

I didn't have those little BLUE candies...so I used BLUE icing...
little did I know that it would *run* all over the place...making him look even more like
A *RETARDED BIG TIME* BUNNY..
Looks more like a little pig...or cat....or
PIGCAT !!
and besides all THAT...he's OLD and WRINKLED !
*
.... even MR. SWEET
wouldn't eat him !!!
*

I hope you have a BLESSED AND HAPPY EASTER...
COME BACK SOON...
I'LL LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR YA !!
*

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?

....The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin
.Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved.
She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple out ran Peter and got there first. He stopped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.
Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.
*
Was that important? Absolutely!
Is it really significant? Yes!
*
In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.
The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every
Jewish boy knew this tradition.
When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.
The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.

.Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.
The servant would then know to clear the table.
For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm finished.."
*
But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because..........
The folded napkin meant,
"I'M COMING BACK !"

That folded napkin thing is news to me - not the tossed-aside one to let people know you've finished eating, but the "folded, so I'll be back" bit. Fascinating, and thanks for sharing.

Otherwise - malted milk eggs???? Have I just discovered I had a deprived childhood, lol

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Easter!

Hello bj, I love your beautiful post today and always. Your Easter table is so sweet and lovingly put together.
I say don't grow up if it means we can't see the beauty in making something beautiful or fun for others. Cause that is what you do girl.

I laughed so hard at your bunny or what ever it is, my husband just said, "What is wrong with you?" "Oh, nothing you would understand dear." Have Mercy bj!!!

Sending you love and Easter Greetings my dear sister friend.

I love this post. Sometimes we get so focused on other things that we forget that it's all about Jesus. Some days I'll be sitting in Houston traffic and I'll think to myself, "this would be a good time for His return." I hope you have a fantastic Easter weekend with your loved ones. Sending Big Blessing from my house to yours.
