Ooh, La La.....

I seriously DOUBT it...!
But, then again, I once asked myself if I would EVER get to go on a cruise
and I seriously doubted it, too...
BUT...
we DID get to go on a family cruise so.....
who knows !!?!!
**

I decided to do another FRENCH inspired table today...
I just love ANYthing frenchy....;>)
**
I got out my pretty french tablecloth...always a great backdrop with the
beautiful french colors of blue, yellows and golds...
I bought this little round cloth off Ebay several years ago..
**
I couldn't decide on any ONE centerpiece....
so i changed things up all through the table setting.
I LOVE PLAYING !!
**
SUNFLOWERS seem to always go with just about any setting...
**
A little galvanized bucket holding faux lavender...
*

A french inspired table HAS to have....ROOSTERS.
This pair was given to me by my daughter*in*law...
Salt and Pepper...
**
I have FRENCH ONION SOUP cooking in this little RED french pot...
*
I LUV almost ANY kind of soup....
summer and winter..!
*
A pasta salad of with roasted red peppers, parsley, goat cheese...
large bits of peppered roast beef, topped and tossed with a tiny bit of FRENCH DRESSING...
*
Delicious crackers for the soup and salad served on a little french plate...OF COURSE! ;o)
**
AND for dessert....
little french donuts....BEIGNETS
*
O, these have become one of my favorite desserts...
*
*
I am not sure WHAT kind of coffee the french drink...
CHICORY, I think...and that is WAAAY too strong for my little tender taste buds...
so I always just serve my favorite, breakfast blend, DUNKIN DONUT.
**
I really enjoyed putting this french inspired table and meal together...
It was FUN...and that's what blogging is to me..
just lots of fun !
Be sure to visit TABLESCAPE THURSDAY
I sure will !!

I love that table cloth. Your tables always look so nice. And the food...I think I actually gain weight just looking at it some times. Well I guess it is official, the cruise is booked as is the flight out, hmmm no flight back yet. Oh well details right?! I emailed you a while back but never heard from you so I figured you just never got it. I was asking for advice on going on a cruise, things I should know. Husband, myself and son are going on a cruise to Alaska in July. My hubby has always wanted to go to Alaska. If you can think of any wished I had known advice please do pass it on to me.
Thanks BJ!

Wonderful, BJ! This makes me want to brush up on my very rusty college French, put on a beret, and drink a glass of red wine (well, the wine was already a distinct possibility!).

Your tablecloth is just beautiful! Don't you just love eBay? How did we live BE (before eBay)???

Fondly,

bj..I don't want to make you feel bad or anything..but right now I am sitting here weeping! Yes, weeping huge old tears of self pity because I just got through with a ..bagel. Yes, a bagel from a bag..of course it was loaded with artery clogging butter and tons of strawberry jam..but NOTHING compared to THIS delicious fare!
Now I am all wrapped up in self pitty and since I am here and not there...I will have another bagel and try to get some sleep!
(extremely heavy sigh!)
and hugs, of course..

(and on top of it all your table is just lovely but then I love everything..yes, everything you do in your sweet little home!)
