SWEETHEART DAY....

IT'S NO SECRET....
*
MR. SWEET is my SWEETHEART,
and has been for just a fraction over 50 years...
We won't celebrate our 50 years married until this coming April
but, of course....we were SWEETHEARTS awhile before starting our life together...
**
And, it has been a wonderful life...and very blessed..
some up's and down's and bumps along the way....but always done with love and respect for each other.
Even if we got mad at each other, we never wanted to hurt the other..always remembering
how much love we had.
**
It wasn't really "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT...."
I know that DOES happen, tho...
*
But from the very first date...we both were pretty much hooked..!
*

We dated for just barely over a year before we said "I Do"
**
We were married 4 years before we had our son, DAVID,
and those years were like a long honeymoon...
We traveled some, worked a lot, laughed a lot and loved a lot...
*
5 years after DAVID was born....a little, tiny girl named STACY
came along...
who would have ever known that, out of those two marvelous children,
we would become grandparents to TEN.....
I LOVE IT !!
**

Wow, fifty yrs is a long time!

We are at 30 and it looks like we just might make to fifty also. We met on a blind date. I wasn't too sure how much I liked him. But he invited me to dinner two days later and made a great dinner. Then I was sure!

Talk to you soon ;)

Your story and mine are so much alike. My husband and I only dated a year and got married. Four years later our son was born and then nineteen months later our daughter was born. My second one came a wee bit sooner than yours. We will celebrate our 35Th anniversary on the 22nd of this month. We knew from the start just like you. Love your tablescape and the dessert looks yummy.
