ROMANCE IS IN THE AIR....

THIS IS A ROMANTIC RE-POST
THAT I HAD TO SHARE AGAIN....
iT SEEMED PERFECT FOR THIS
"THE PERFECT GIFT"
******************************************************
THE PERFECT GIFT
I am playing in the meme, FOURTEEN DAYS OF LOVE ..DAY 11
AND today the theme is
THE PERFECT GIFT....

I am also linking with MY ROMANTIC HOME for SHOW AND TELL

When my beautiful daughter, STACY, opened a gift from her husband, JENT, on CHRISTMAS MORNING, 2007, she found something that absolutely took her breath away.
*
Seventeen years ago, she had decided to sell her wedding gown...and for seventeen years, she tried to get it back....

Her sweet ONE AND ONLY LOVE searched high and low for that gown...
And...HE FOUND IT !
The lady wasn't interested in selling it back to him.....at first.
But JENT refused to give up and finally, they came to an agreement.
HE BOUGHT THE DRESS BACK !
After making her an offer she couldn't refuse, she sold it back to JENT.
NOT A ONE OF US....NO SIR...NOT ONE asked him what he gave for it !!
I am sure the secret will go to the grave with him !!!
;O)

I can't even begin to tell you how surprised, thrilled, excited and blessed STACY felt when she opened that box.

If JENT had given her a KINGS RANSOM (which he probably paid to get that dress back) STACY could not have loved it more than this ACT OF LOVE from her husband...

With 2 daughters and the possibility of 2 daughter*in*laws someday, that might love wearing the dress for THEIR wedding, STACY is so happy to have the dress back where it belongs.

HAVE A WONDERFULLY ROMANTIC DAY.......

I absolutely loved this story...its not how many breaths we take in life but it is how many times our breath is taken away that make a life worth living. Thanks for sharing. This took my breath away as I am sure it did hers and the rest of the family. How sweet!

I remember when you teased us w/the upcoming post of that and then when I first read it. It's a real true love story.
Thanks for your comments on my post. I'm sorry you didn't get to know your grandmothers. Just the same, I'll bet that you have things you do that are truly 'them' without ever knowing them. Look at your hands, you'll see theirs. Look at your eyes, you'll see theirs. It's not all lost. Seems that those grandpas did a 'mighty-fine' job of filling in the spots missed by them? I love the stick of gum! :) Jenn
