KEEPING IT REAL on CHRISTMAS EVE....12/24/09

CHRISTMAS EVE.... GIVE THANKS
THAT OUR GOD LOVES US ALL SO MUCH....

We will have at LEAST 19 people over on
CHRISTMAS EVE night
for a lovely dinner, lots and lots of desserts, and.........
P.R.E.S.E.N.T.S.
** We MIGHT have as many as 22 wonderful people to eat with us....

**

SOOO....to answer everyone that asked, "Do you EVER use paper plates?"...
O YEAH, BABY...
do you see those RED paper/plastic plates and bowls...?
*

We ALL love peppermint sticks....
**

...we DON'T use plastic flatware, even when there's 20 people or more...
I HATE plastic forks and knives....
it doesn't take long to put all the flatware into the dishwasher...!!
(besides.....my flatware is RED, don'tchaknow !)
*
.....and see those PAPER NAPKINS...aren't they adorable !!
RED Solo cups to the rescue.....
***

See, JUSTINEY....you aren't the only one that uses paper and plastic
on CHRISTMAS EVE...
We have WAAAY better things to do than stand at a sink,
messin' with dirty dishes..don't we?
WE GOTTA GET IN THERE AND OPEN THOSE GIFTS !!
WOO HOO....

Remembering the Reason for the Season...
I pray for nothing but CHRISTMAS blessings for all of you !
***
MY CHRISTMAS CLOCHES.....

SEE what I fill
MY CHRISTMAS CLOCHES with......
WHITE CHOCOLATE AND APRICOT BREAD....

.....now....that's what I'm talkin' about !!

BJ, There's nothing wrong with plastic/paper plates, but I'm with you- I want real silverware! Who wants to cut something with a flimsy plastic knife? Not me...
I hope you enjoy a night of fun and festivities on Christmas Eve. That bread looks awful yummy... Have a very blessed Christmas Day, too! lots of hugs and kisses, Sue

Paper/plastic for us too! We have at least 50 for our Christmas Eve gathering! Our family gets together in the Church fellowship hall, finger foods and gifts for the kids. It is fun, lots of enjoying family time. Have a wonderful Christmas Eve dear BJ and God Bless you and your family!

BJ, love your sense of humor and the red flatware. Susan is right. Everyone is going to want some red flatware. There will only be five of us for dinner tomorrow evening. Just finished setting my table, so won't share it till next week. I always a bit behind it seems. I admire all of you who are on top of things.
Thank you for your thoughtful friendship. I so appreciate your kind emails and sweet comments. Wishing you a very happy holiday with your family.
Christmas hugs ~ Sarah

Oooh BJ...
Add one more person to the menu, sweetie I am knocking at the door for some of that white chocolate and apricot bread, let me in.

I love paper plates. I think they are the best. I use Chinet all the time, and I keep Solo cups on hand with all of our grandkids around, there is no way I am not using them. They get out a cup every 15-20 minutes. I write their name on a cup, and they use 1 cup while they are at the house for a visit.

I even ordered out this year. I am not cooking Christmas day. I am baking deserts and making rolls, and the rest is being made for me.
Yippee Skippee for me.

Have a beautiful Christmas BJ, and thank you for being such a wonderful new friend. I so enjoy visiting with you, and love it when you come to see me.

Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

Very festive and beautifully put together! I also have people coming over Christmas Eve but I was not as smart as you with the paper products! I am re-thinking that right now and may make a quick walmart run in the morning! You are right..who wants to do dishes while everyone else is playing!

Merry Christmas!
