This and That around the cottage and STENCILING WOES

I just wanted to share a little more fall, a tiny more halloween....
AND
to say that STENCILING IS HARD !!
**
It didn't take me but a split second to KNOW that this type of basket was
never going to work !!

I was trying for the cheapest basket...just to see if I could do this !!
I SHOULD have known but.......I didn't think of all those recessed places and...besides all that..
baskets MUST be hard, even for a pro !!
Oh, well, I'll find a use for them, anyway.
I heart baskets with a passion....even when they are messed up !
**
AND...why did I even try it? I do NOT have a crafty bone in my entire body !!!!

I love this plaid ribbon...I love most anything plaid....
***
***
***
***
this pumpkin man looks sad....or scared.....oooooo
**

I adore WITCHES.....
***
***

...another try....
and
POTTERY BARN........NOT !
***
I am so so glad that I am....
easy to please.....!!
;O)

Autumnal rubies abound from the roses to the leaves to the 'corn' candy. Nothing creepy here, just the looks of the season. Nice rubies!

Everything looks great. I don't believe you aren't crafty. I'm dangerous when paint is involved. I rarely try anymore:)

I think the baskets look fine BJ. If you want to try again, the secret to successful stenciling is very little paint on the brush. Just dab most of it off onto a paper towel until the brush is almost dry and then gently bounce the brush straight up and down. Stenciling a basket is a great idea:>) The table and dishes are beautiful!

I love your baskets! Yhe plaid ribbon is so cute as are the other decorations! You have such cuteness in "BJ Land"! Have a blessed day!

Okay, I'm going to tell you what's got me confused. Why the numbers 1 and 2? Any significance? And with stenciling (not that I'm very practiced at it) you have to dab dab dab, kind of pushing into the stencil.

I love all of you fall decor. Lookin' good girl!

Justine :o )

Love the corks with the candle! I read about another blogger having the same problem stenciling on a basket and she got so frustrated she just whipped out a sharpie and filled in the spots.

Everything is so BOOtiful!! Seriously. I do love the effect and the 'country charm' that the corks make in the glass with the candle. Excellent idea.

My Ruby Tuesday is big huge LIPS this morning...come by if you can?

All your decorations look perfectly lovely. Well done.
I have never stenciled on a basket only the wall. I guess it would be hard on a basket with all the recessed places. I think the baskets turned out great, I want one!
Enjoy your day and keep creating,
Elizabeth

I am so sorry it took me such a long time to stop by. Sorry because I now see what I have been missing! I LOVE your Halloween decor! I just want to hire you to come decorate my house. And you say you have no crafty bones. I disagree.
