A cute table and apple dumplings, too! I love it!!

BJ,we didn't paint our chairs. We found them at Pier One a few years ago. We walked in the store and almost at the same time, we said..oh look at those chairs. I mentioned them on my decorating board and said they were on sale. One of the group sent a coupon all the way from AZ, so we got such a deal on them! We bought two of each color. The color is almost like a stain, instead of paint. The wood is slightly visible. We didn't know how they would hold up, because we have some pretty good sized kids, but they've held up well! Thanks for asking about the paint. I think if you want to paint yours, you could get the same effect. Might be easier to sand and stain with a cloth, than painting, using colored stains.

BJ, The table looks adorable with those "BOO" plates and your bird tea lites! Sure wish I could eat one of those apple dumplings- yummmmm...

The only way I could possible get an apple peel to come out in one long strand is to use one of those old timey apple peelers. I'm sure you've seen them- you stick the apple onto a stick-like appendage, turn the crank, and it spins around while being peeled- leaving one long peel.
I am not talented enuf to do it manually...
Have a Happy Halloween! hugs, Sue

Those apple dumplings look so scrumptious!! The thing I like best is the orange pumpkin in the blue chair---I looks so cool there!! I love the contrasting colors!

Hi BJ,
I love the way you used the Autumn leaves, those great bird-y tea light holders, and the painted pumpkins as "neutrals" to balance all the bright, happy colors. The overall effect is fun, friendly, and charming ... just like the lady who created it!

Thank you for your visit and kind (and amusing!)comments. It's always a delight to have you stop by. Happy Halloween!

Bye for now,
Bill

Hello BJ, Today I am recovering from 20 days of company. Just maybe I will be back to my normal schedule. If only someone will tell me what that is. Laughing!

Your Halloween pics are all so terrific. Love them all. You didn't give us the dumpling recipe. It looks awesome. I too have never peeled a whole apple in one piece. I gave up!!!

I had a laugh when I saw your baskets. Stenciling IS hard. Having a flat surface is important.

Brook is so handsome. Good for him being so good on his dirt bike.

Love you, Jeanne

HiBJ,
I see a beautiful quilt in the back round, did you make it?. I love all your fall decorations, they are so festive and ready for a party.
You Grandson has a lot in common with my Nephew who is 15.5 he also rides and is very good. My Granddaughter love to ride when she has a chance, she scares me since she is only 11 and is fearless.
Take care and enjoy your weekend,
Elizabeth
