Hi BJ,

Oh my goodness - you are so creative. . . who needs a lot of money to buy things when creativity is more fun and just as good or better in your case.

Please take a look at the Pet Parade post I did on the scarf project - you can see the video by clicking on the link on my blog - it is so moving and the pets are adorable. Thank you for supporting the wonderful pet cause.
Blessings,
Erin

Way to go!! They really do look like Pottery Barn. I wonder if Pottery Barn knows that we live to copy their expensive stuff?

Great deal. Gotta love that spray paint!

Whoever invented black spray paint should be rich from royalties by now!! Your candle sticks are a great knockoff of the PB ones - and the price is super. You're so clever. Sally

BJ, you are a genius! I have this huge brass candlestick that's been sitting in my shop for months...why didn't I think to paint it black? Hello! That thing is going black the second I get my hands on it. Great transformation and inspiration! Thanks!

Wow! You did a great job! I like the ones you painted better. I am looking forward to seeing what you will do with the table. Have a great evening.

BJ those candlesticks are absolutely perfect. I can hardly wait to see what you do with the table.

God bless.

To be honest BJ I think a good polish would bring those brass candle sticks back to their former glory and would certainly add a touch of gold to any Fall display just as they are.
I can understand you wanting to make over that old table though.
BTW I am having a giveaway if you would like to pop by.
Hugs,
Sandi

Wow! I definitely love your candlesticks better! You did so good girl! I thought for a minute you were going to take the legs off your little table and make candlesticks out of those as well, but now I guess I will have to come back to see what you did with your little table.

Thanks for sharing and please swing by my place. Take care!

How clever and how nice to get your own version of something that you've wanted!

Not only do your candle sticks look absolutely great, but you are recycling which is great for the environment, helping employ people at the thrift store and the paint store, and using your creativity to see the treasure that was waiting for you. Thank you for sharing this on your blog, it's inspirational.

You made some remarkable finds. More fun still because they so closely resemble more expensive items. Great job! I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Oh, BJ, I love your bargain candlesticks painted black. You go girl, they are a great match for the high dollar ones. In fact I had to really study them to see that they were the brass ones. I'm not kidding. I thought you broke down and bought a pair. Now, what are you going to do with that cute table? Work magic, I am sure.

I have learned to be so much more thrifty when I read your blog. I love that about you my sister friend. Retirement is such a pinch on the budget. No frivolous spending here anymore, but just look what we can do. You inspire me.

Hugs and love, Jeanne

PS, don't miss my post today. I think you will love it. BIG smile.

Awesome find and yes awesome in black!

You were there at the right time to find all these neat items. When I go there is nothing left I care about. You will do just fine when you reach 80 if you stay active and maintain a positive attitude. Also, you need to move, no sitting around.

Awesome, BJ. They look awesome. I am so loving them.

Now, hurry up and show me more.

Love ya. ;-)

BJ -
You're a "visionary". You have the vision to see past the obvious and come up with a real winner. The candlesticks look so much like the "real thing". But I like them better...more in my price range...
Great job!

Hello Dearheart...

Ohhh...I'm so happy for you!!! Don't you just love it when something like this comes into fruition? OMG...Girl, I love your version of the big, chunky candleholders...in fact, I like them much better! Can you even imagine spending $149 on a candleholder? Your's at $4.99 just makes them much sweeter!!! You know, I have a few of those brass candleholders...kind of out dated...but I can't just get rid of them. Cindy over at Applestone Cottage also spray painted hers...I never thought about doing that! I guess the paint adhers to the metal fairly good? I want to give mine a new look!

Ohhh Girlfriend, I love your little table...can't wait to see what you do with it!

Warmest wishes and Happy Fall!
Chari

With the $122 you 'saved' you can buy lots more bargains! Amazing! How did they come up with a price like $2.92, anyway? Seems odd to me. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next!
