Do ya'll daydream about beautiful rooms .....rooms you could live in forever and ever, amen ??
I do!!... and I love to search for rooms that I KNOW, without a doubt, that I would love waking up to every single morning. I have files of INSPIRATION ROOMS...and I find it WONDERFUL to see that most of them contain the same colors (o,there's a few that are different...but not many) the same style and the same comfort feelings I get from just looking at the pictures of them....
I love rooms that look as if it took years to put together. Rooms that have what I call substance....rooms that look a little different from everyone elses' (I think THAT is called personality)....rooms that are happy, gay, stress-less !!

But, on the other hand, I like enough treasures around me that I feel comforted, cozy, warm and fuzzy....
"controlled clutter" is nesting, to my way of thinking.....
I look at this photo above of this charming kitchen and can almost feel the warmth....just from the photo.
I see a lot of photos of beautiful kitchens that sometimes just don't have the warm, comfy, really meaningful feel about them...do you know what I mean ??
I can just imagine how I would love making a pie here, the smells coming from the oven....getting foods prepared for my family coming over for Sunday dinner....oops....I'm getting that fuzzy feeling AGAIN!!
This photo above is a prime example of why I ADORE creamy white and jet black knobs, hinges, handles....
They are so classic, so country comfort, so just right to MY eyes....
I'm glad that EVERYone doesn't like the same things, the same styles...life would get waaay too boring, I think.
WELL....and if I could have a room like THIS...when I die, I could go to HEAVEN a very happy woman !
Isn't this a fabulous room?
Can you just imagine going into this awesome area each morning, having a fantastic breakfast...
be still my heart !!
be still my heart !!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have many, MANY more dream rooms...I'll share them with you if you'll show me the kind of rooms that make YOUR heart sing......
have a blessed and happy day, my friends....and remember....
DREAMS CAN COME TRUE....
Evening, Dear BJness! Oh these rooms are so pretty. I have a 'pretty rooms' file myself! I could move into these rooms.
I love your header! It looks so great!
Are you getting any cooler weather yet?
We're still pretty warm in the day, but evenings and mornings are not quite as hot!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Ok, now I dont feel so bad for my obsession with red, because you have it too:>) Do you suppose that is why I always love your inspiration photos? We are kindred spirits and if we were rich we could almost decorte each others houses because we love the same things!! I saved a few of these beauties in my decorating file:>)
What a nice idea, Bj!! Share rooms we like. I look in magazines and I am so picky, there is usually something out of place. But I looked at each and every one that you posted and I love them all!!
My problem is, I see a room in all white and cabbage roses and I think...that's me. Then one day I will see a room filled with bright colors and sun filling the room, patterns of stripes and flowers and I think...this is me!!
I think my rooms in my home are a relection of me. So many influences and things I DID dream of. As long as they evolve and new things can replace the old, I'll be happy. My taste is a paradox, just like me!
Great post!! It really got me thinking (and dreaming...I WANT that kitchen!!!).
xoxo
Janie
Well, most of those rooms you just showed are dreams of mine...I love the reds and creams...with a little black thrown in!
I have been posting some of my dream rooms that I am trying to get the feeling of for my new home...
Hello Miss Bj~ I'm finally back from my summer long blogcation!
I see a common love for the whites and reds. I've always wanted a banquette in my kitchen, just like the one you have pictured. There's something very inviting in each of the photos. I surely hope to achieve the same type of ambiance in my home, "a cushy spot" for all my guests who enter. Along with good food and times.
I've enjoyed catching up. Please stop by...I look forward to the return of your company.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
Oooooh, why can't my house look that darling?!?! I love that red tile, sugar. Actually I love it all.....sigh....
xoxo,
Connie
Hi BJ
I love all those rooms too. Sweet dreams!!
Hugs, Rhondi
Oh my heart skipped a beat when I scrolled down to the last one. You're right...heaven. Well heaven on earth anyway.
Yes, I could see my post of the dotted red tea pot would be right at home in this kitchens.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. There is another red meme call REDNESDAY and if you are interested can find the address on my side bar under WEEKLY MEMES.
I feel the same way...but my husband always says...YOU DO HAVE THOSE ROOMS....AND EVERY MONTH YOU CHANGE THEM TO MAKE ANOTHER OF THOSE ROOMS....IF YOU HAD THE ONE IN THE PHOTO..YOU'D BE CHANGING IT IN A MONTH ANYWAYS...SO RELAX WOMAN!
yep...that's what he says!
Each of those rooms gave me a great big hug. I would take any one them.
I like your new header. That is one cozy room.
These are beautiful rooms. And fun too. Red does that, don't they. I do like little splashes of red in a room. Somehow it can make a difference :-)
Mizpah,
Li
Gorgeous rooms...I love them all too!!!
Your header is beautiful!!!
Enjoy!!!
XOXO
Great inspiration photos!! Love them. Thanks for sharing.
Funny thing... your rooms are in my dreams:) Those are nice but yours are nicer! Have a blessed day!
Hi BJ,
I just love those red rooms! Nothing like red to add some pop to a room. Thanks for stopping by but I put a delay on my post because Sue didn't have hers up yet. Mine is up now if you would like to come back and take a peek. Have a wonderful REDnesday.
Blessings,
Sandi
You picked some gorgeous rooms to show today. I agree with you that it's so much nicer when a room looks evolved over time. That kitchen that you love....I love it too but I could never have that much stuff out. I've talked about that before. I love the look so much but it would make me nervous and jumpy. I would love to have that shelf.
Morning BJ,
I have an inspirational decorating file too and every one of your pictures would be in it! I love that kitchen!
Hugs,
Dena
I think I read that Sue is having computer issues. That might be why she is late most Mr. Linky for REDnesday. I am also working on one on my craft blog too.
LOVE the old farm sink...I've wanted one for years! Thanks for stopping by today :) Loved the peaceful pics and great read!
Be still my heart...I just LOVE all those rooms you showed today! I so adore red in a kitchen and think it makes it look so warm and welcoming. I've been thinking of starting a scrapbook filled with pictures of rooms I see in magazines that I just love. I've decided I will do that!! hehe
Thank you so much for your prayers and hugs regarding my situation with my DIL, dear BJ, I truly do appreciate it so very much. xoxo
KITCHEN BLISS! REDNESS BLISS! BEDROOM BLISS! I found it all here today! Thank you!
I am all in a fidget waiting for your tablecloth. I would have loved the gold as well..but am painting my walls a softish gold and was afraid it would clash, God forbid that should happen! :)
Really great pictures. The first kitchen one with all the red..THOSE FLOORS! Oh...to have such floors!! All of it was just more than my little pea pickin' heart could stand! (are we passionate about our decorating, or WHAT?!) :)
My bloggy friend..you did GOOD today!)
Hugs,
Mona
You are so right BJ. Rooms that feel like they've evolved over time warm my heart too. I love when people come to my home and say it reminds them of "grandma's house"!
Happy REDnesday!
Dawn
I could be perfectly happy to live in a house with ALL of those rooms in it! And I agree with you, rooms need personality. I especially love the floor in the first picture! Thanks for sharing your inspiration rooms!
Happy Rednesday!
Oh BJ, we are such sisters of the heart!!! I love all these pictures, and the last is just, well.....I'll join you there for that breakfast!
I too have files and files and files of rooms that make me 'sigh'...with comfort...
Bless you, sweetie...
Susan
that's a great idea...great way to organize all your pics - on a blog. everything is beautiful!!!
Oh such pretty rooms -- I could move into almost any of them and be very happy indeed.
I don't keep pictures files -- I have BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of magazines and decorating books .. this house may SINK someday under the weight of them.
thanks for sharing!
Cass
Hello BJ
Don' you just love Rednesday? I sure do...but I adore the first pic... the bedroom in the 2nd pic looked just like my last house...same bed, same bed quilt...I love it.
Thanks for making it all look so fab.
Love Claudie
Hi BJ :)
I'm back among the living, not 100# but I'm working on it... I have missed you and your wonderful blog, which is just like walking into one of those great rooms... warm, cozy and welcoming...
Hope you'll drop by my new blog, which isn't "decorated" yet but its getting there :)
Hi! I'm a newbie to your blog. These are delightful pictures but the last one is definitely my favourite...great warmth in that room, but it's the sunflowers that really grabbed me!
Great post...have added you to my reading list.
Hugs,
Sandi
I love all those rooms you posted. If I had to choose one, it would be the one with the window seat. I have always wanted a window seat but as of yet, I don't have one.
Your blog header picture is so beautiful.
Sigh, sigh, sigh - they're all so lovely! I'm glad you shared them today!
BJ
I really really love the colour red in decorating..adding just the nice splashes of it.
The pictures are wonderful and in particular I love the top one.
thank you for sharing..I'm going home tonight to look at my decorating magazines I can just tell.
Judi
Well, Miss Jean, you've certainly accomplished the warm, cozy, fuzzy feeling in your Sweet Nothings cottage! That's exactly the feeling I get every time I walk into your beautiful home. It is soooo grogeous and yet so very warm and inviting. Sorry I didn't get to look at this yesterday, but you know why!
I love the pretty rooms you show here, but they don't compare with what you've done to your wonderful home!
Love you much!
Martha
