I have carpet in my living room....I KNOW...I KNOW...everyone in the whole, wide, entire world has wood/laminate flooring.
I have tile in the dining room, kitchen and hallways..
and all 3 bedrooms are carpeted.
SOMEDAY (*rolling eyes), I would like my bedrooms tiled and use a large area rug...
IF I could have real PINE, wide plank flooring, I would do it in a heartbeat...
and, when I win the LOTTERY, it will, indeed, be the first thing I might do !!

but.....in the meantime, while I am waiting for that ship to come in...I had to get my 2 year old carpet CLEANED....
and, that means WORK !!

It's going to be some work putting everything back ....
BUT.....
how fun to have a great chance to change thing up a bit...maybe do without some of this stuff and bring in somthing new, thrifted...

I am not getting laminate nor wood in my new home. I'm getting tile everywhere but the bedrooms; they will be carpeted. So you are not alone.
You have a grand living room, and that was a bunch of work. I'll bet you're glad it's over!
Boy do I need to do alot of cleaning around here ! My mind says yes but the body says NO ! LOL .
Clean carpets will make you feel so-o-o-o good ! I just love a fresh clean room !

I bet it smells so fresh and clean after getting your carpets cleaned. I just told hubby that I was going to steam clean our hallway and bedroom carpets this week. I better get busy on it!!

Good Morning BJ! It's always such a good feeling to get that done. It's amazing what hides under a couch..isn't it? That is a huge room and I love it!
Obviously, we all love carpet, BJ, because we have hardwood and tile and then we cover it up with area rugs!! ;-)
I love moving everything out when I am hving my family room done (that is the only room with carpet). I weed out all the things I'm not crazy about anymore and then I have room for more thrifty finds!! lol!! And I like to rearrange the furniture, and since I have those big, burly carpet cleaner men around....

I need to get my carpets done too. It is on the "list". I actually do have wide pine plank floors in my bedroom, but alas they are painted. The only other ones that remain are upstairs and I am holding out on the one bedroom, yes it needs refinished and they are less than perfect they are over 100 years old...some day!
I so need to clean all of my carpets! But as you said, It's a lot of work!
You'll sure enjoy it when everything is back in place!

Happy September, BJ. We need to have the carpet cleaned, at the lake, since we decided new flooring is out of our budget.
J has made friends with the regular maintenance guy at the condos. It really helps to make friends with the maint. guys!!LOL. Anyway, he is staining our deck, this week or next and will move the furniture for us. We had to bring in the small stuff. I can't wait to see the deck. This is the first time we've had it stained, since it was stained when it was built 6 years ago.
I would love to have those wide plank floors too!

I just love those McDonalds breakfasts! I never seem to go there at any other time but morning, like when I have to have fasting blood work done and am famished. I head straight to the McDonalds down the street from the office. BJ, your house never looks blah! Not even when you take everything out. Because I know before the sun goes down today, you will have it all "niced" up again BJ style!

Jean, your two year old carpet was probably cleaner than my wood floors right now. You're right about that room being "plain" without YOU in it. Knowing you though, you'll have it all looking like a million dollars again by tomorrow. I can just smell the clean smell of your house already. Enjoy!

I bet your carpet is really clean now! And guess what! I have carpet in the living room and the bedrooms too. I am looking forward to having ceramic tile in the living room and laminate floors in the bedrooms. Aaah, someday. :)
