THRIFTED TREASURE

BLUE MONDAY is here and I'm ready to play !!
SMILING SALLY, I don't have MUCH blue in this post,
but I made sure I had a little bit so I could play with all the rest. *
Thanks to RHODA for hosting this fun Monday event...
***
Be sure to visit both sites and all the participants ...
and THANK YOU for coming by to see me today...
*
*
My thrifted item this week is my
ENGLISH chest of drawers.....
I have blogged about this in the past, so if you've seen it all
before, just bear with me...
*

I dearly love the old wood... I love the color and I wish I knew what kind of wood it is because
it is one of the few woods that I like UNpainted....
*
The key holes on each and every drawer just make my heart sing....
The brass pulls are new...from Reproduction Hardware...
*

I bought this piece at one of the BEST garage sales I've ever been to in my
entire loooong life.
I spent $200.00 at the sale and had to come home and get Mr. Sweets pickup truck..... I dearly LOVE hauling home treasures by the truck load !!!!
*

I gave the nice lady $40.00 for this beautiful chest and went home
smiling, singing, dancing and thanking my lucky stars (which we ALL know is named GOD).....

HAPPINESS.... !!!

*****
it's the little things.......

Hi BJ, I have a BIG grin on my face, YOU'RE PLAYING MY SONG!!!! There's nothing better on a Saturday morning than a good garage sale. The unadvertised ones are fun because they aren't so crowded. Of course we sometimes get there an hour before they begin, so I have to say we don't get stuck in too many crowds, HA. Have a great week!

Hi BJ. You are right about that chest. The wood is warm and is the most perfect color. Even though I adore painted furniture I think wood tones adds a warmth to a home that cannot be matched. What a find and oh my, my what a price! You go girl!
