OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY
with SUSAN at A SOUTHERN DAYDREAMER..
As you know, her mother*in*law has health problems and much of
Susan's time has been spent with her...
Please join me in prayer for comfort and grace for their family...
***
Thank you, Susan, for taking the time to set up the link for us to
participate in your wonderful event....
***********************************************
My CROWN OF THORNS is just thriving
outdoors....by the end of summer, we will have to trim and prune before moving
it back inside.
It always makes the transition just fine.
I've been told that if I transplanted it to a larger pot, it would grow even larger...
with all those thorns on it, I don't really want it to grow bigger....
**
My hydrangeas, on your left, are putting out new leaves but I don't see a sign of a blossom.... *sigh
*
*
The heat has all the flowers in such high stress...
i really don't know if they will survive the entire summer.....
*
I went to an estate sale and found this really neat flowerpot holder...
I knew the minute I saw it where I wanted it to go...
The wrought iron holder and the three pots of English Ivy...$10.00...
woo-hooness...!!
*
It looks like it was just made for my spot.....
**
I hope your day is just full of blooms...
*we are running out of water here in Lubbock, Texas...
therefore, the water company has hiked the price of water..
we can use up to just so much and then we go into a higher bracket...
I just received our water bill for SWEET NOTHINGS COTTAGE and
it was over $120.00...
I am mortified, to say the least.
So, needless to say, I won't use nearly as much water in the future, which I shouldn't...
we must conserve all the water we possibly can.
My flowers and lawn aren't anywhere CLOSE to the importance of enough water
for our fair city.
Therefore, I am sure I won't be posting photos of flowers, lawns much longer...
Sure am glad I am like SHEILA of NOTE SONGS...

God bless.
Beautiful flowers!
Porch looks so inviting...got enought water to make me some lemonade should I just drop in?
Stay cool and pray for rain.
Hi BJ...
Nothing up at Susan's yet..I do hope everything is ok! Maybe we can just follow from comments..a progessive party, LOL
Love your spot, and yes, the pots are perfect..
I wish I could send you some hydrangea..They do VERY well here by the beach..I make new plants from cuttings..I have a whole area in the back..a hydrangea nursery, that I made from cuttings...
But I have no pecans like you do!
Beautiful!!! and definite WooHooness on he flower pot holder, that is so awesome!!! I am feeling you on the Texas Heat, my lavender has just about been cooked beyond recognition. The lawn is a beautiful expensive green though!!! LOL

Your new blog is so pretty and all of your flowers look perfect! I don't blog like I use to. I don't have as much free time. Work always gets in the way of having fun, but I'm thank-ful I'm working.
Hugs,
Ginger
Cute flower pot holder. It does look like it was meant for you! ~ Robyn
BJ,
We have had a lot of rain and cool weather this spring and summer, which suits me just fine. I can't take the heat.
Love your bargain. It is perfect for the spot you chose and your flowers are beautiful.
Blessings,
Mary
Dear BJ, I can sympathize. Even though we've had rain, we are on water restrictions in terms of watering and are only allowed to water once (or in some places twice) a week. Our water bill is usually high because we have sprinkler systems. So I truly do know how you feel. I am in sticker shock sometimes.
Your plants look pretty, and your new planter is perfect for your house. I adore your porch swing. I've never been to West Texas, but I have lots of friends and family in Texas. It's a great state... rain or not!
Happy OW...
XO,
Sheila :-)
It was made for that spot...the planter holder. And I hear you about the water situation.
Got a kick out of your Tuesday post and so glad all worked out in the end. Nice finish!
Will say a little prayer for Susan and family.
Happy inside Outdoor Wed, Candy
Love your flower pot holder! Looks perfect next to your lovely porch swing!
it is all just wonderful! I especially love that Garden sign!
BJ,I love your pot holder and English Ivy, my favorite! Sorry to hear about your water crisis. It's the same here in southern CA. I'm on a well, but we still have to conserve. Hot,hot, hot and dry, dry, dry!
I like the vertical flower pot holder too! Very nice and ideal for someone who has limited place for planting.
Oh dear, you plants will not be able to get the water enough? And then with summer - it's hot. Maybe we should sing rain rain come again, instead of "go away" LOL

Hi BJ, so glad you popped over for a visit. Ok, the fairy can be found at Pyzam.com under page pets. If you can't find them, just let me know and I'll take a look again for you. The placemats are easy easy, I did put a layer of cotton batting in between them, I just lay my two pieces of fabric with the right sides together, put the cotton batting on top, sew them together leaving a hole big enough to turn them inside out, turn it inside out, and then top stitch along the top edges and close the opening. You could soooo do it. ;)

Super....it looks so serene and the porch swing...so relaxing!!!! Beautiful place. I'll grab my book and be right over.
My Outdoor Wednesday is flowers with a 'passion'. Come over if you can find time. I'd love your company today.
And, hope the day treats you well!!!
sorry about your water, that is a huge issue here in Australia, and last year we were literally saving every drop
loving the porch swing...
If the flower pot holder goes missing... don't come looking at my house:) Love it! My flowers are a bit yuck right now. I went on vacation and we didn't get any rain. Forgot to give watering instructions:( Love to all and have a blessed day!
BJ, I love your little plant holder, and you found the perfect place for it. I know you will enjoy it there from your swing.
Your blog looks pretty, too, with the header picture of your vineyard tablescape.
Hope you have a happy Outdoor Wednesday.
Everything looks beautiful around your place. I do hope you get some God water soon.
I don't know what just happened, but I just left a note on your thrifty post, that was supposed to go here!!! Too many days at the lake...
Anyway, beautiful photos of Outdoor Wednesday! I also mentioned about the water bill!
BJ....I love your new pot holder, and what a steal of a price! I love your flower pics...BUT ouch...your water bill! Sigh...I too have to be careful with that hose, but you know...flowers really only need 1 inch of water a week to live! Your crown of thorns is beautiful and I never have any lick bringing stuff in so good for you...love your little "green" world!
The iron pot holder looks great next to your pretty swing! We are heading into the season where everything dries up anyway so I wouldn't worry about the lawn (although we are getting rain today, our ground has been really dry so we need it). That was a heck of a water bill!
Hi friend! Your flower pot holder is just perfect for that spot. You were so right!
That water problem does pop up every summer doesn't it? So far we are OK here in Edmond. I sure dread getting the bill though. We have to water the yard and add water weekly to the pond. It's not gonna be pretty! Do you have bermuda grass? It will just go dormant and come back later.
Pretty yard. That flower pot holder does fit in perfectly. What a joy it must be to sit there! Thanks for sharing. Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
BJ, I love your pot holder... what a find and better yet what a great price... Sorry about your water shortage... We suffer from that in Florida too from time to time... Have a cool day my friend.

Beautiful flowers! I absolutely love flowers, but I think they're prettier on the plant then in a vase!
BJ, That flower pot holder is beautiful...I love it!! And, it was meant to be...does that ivy have to be in the shade or can it be in some sun?
I need your address, If you don't mind...I have a little something for you! Just send it to my email nancyrosalina@aol.com

I love the flowerpot holder. What a great find! It looks great where you put it:)
Hi BJ! Your flowers are beautiful! I love the pot holder...great find! I understand about the water! We have just come out of a terrible 3 year drought here in Georgia! Last summer I kept a bucket in the shower to catch the water that ran as I warmed it up. That way I could water the one little bed I kept at the front door. :-( Hang in there!...Debbie
Can I get a woot woot for the flower pot. That is the perfect spot.
My hydrangea is the same. It finally this year has one bloom on it. It is a dark purple. I had no idea.
This is just so, so gorgeous!
I would so love to sit on your pretty porch with you and share of lemonade and some cookies.
Love,
Sue
Hi BJ'
Your swing is so pretty. I'm jealous because I have wanted a porch swing...forever! Thanks for sharing yours.
Hope you get rain and lots of it.
Oh, I know about those water bills! We live in an arid climate, too, plus we live outside of the town, so we pay high prices - usually about $100 a month in the summer. Our town has plenty of mountain runoff water with very good water rights, but I guess it costs a lot to treat the water. We all need to learn to conserve better. Have a good week. Sally
I could just sit in this garden for days...The fairy dust is cute too...hehe. It's so hot here my flowers have just gone to pot..no pun intended.Ha!
It must be a joy to sit in your yard. I know I'd feel right at home. It is really lovely. The pots are perfect.
I love your header. It wasn't until I read your blog that I learned they even had vinyards in Texas. Do you get enough rain there?
Then I read yesterdays blog and it's something I could have written! And as much as I don't want ya cussin' I have to admit I had a good laugh. But for all bad things something good comes out of it and you may never have found those cute mugs had the day not gone as it had. There's your rainbow!
The Twins
Love your fairy girlie. ;) I love your visits too, you'll have to show off your placemats if you decide to make some. okay, to remove your link in the upper left corner go back to your html code in your layout for the fairy and remove everything AFTER this:
embed div (there are arrows and slashes in there, but it won't let me do them in a comment)
just delete it all, (there's about a paragraph starting with href) or something like that, but preview to make sure you got it off and the fairy is still there. If that doesn't do the trick, I'll try to look at the original code and explain it better. :)
♥ Teresa
Beautiful! I want a bird bath so badly for a spot in my flower bed, but my husband says no. We live in mosquito country and a they are breading grounds. Maybe one day I'll just surprise him. HeHe.
Lovely! Nice captured and post.
Happy outdoor BJ.
