A VERY BUSY TUESDAY....

THREE OR MORE, hosted by TAM at THE GYPSY'S CORNER
*
THREE little bathing beauty grands....
BAILEY, DEEDS and ANDREA.....
We were on the Grand Caymen Islands, last October,
and having the time of our lives.... *gulp..**sighhhh

WORK OF THE POET is hosting this RED day...
*

THANKS, DIANE
****
*
OK..I know I've shown this quilt before but....
*
People that read me very often know how much I love the color RED...
I have THREE OR MORE quilts and a lot of them have red ....
This RED and White one is from J.C. Penney
and I am totally and forever in love with it.... why...I sleep with it every night !! ;)
*
This work of art is a treasure my mother made years and years ago..
It hangs in it's PLACE OF HONOR in my dining room...and brings such cheery thoughts
every time I glance at it.
My mama was so SO good at every thing she did....*gulp
O, and up there on the little shelf...
my THREE OR MORE little Willow Tree people.
*
This is one I've shown before that MOI made...
It's not fancy, by any means, but I love the cheery fabrics in it...
I am in the mood to make another one......
.....in the fall, when it is cooler !!
Waaay too hot right now to get all snuggled into a quilt !
*
This one is a 2ND TIME AROUNDER....
I bought the vintage, finished quilt top
off Ebay and put it together with the batting and backing...
then machine quilted it...
I wonder why anyone would want to part with such a piece ??
*
These THREE folded quilts usually stay stacked on my
2ND TIME AROUND, wicker bed tray...thrifted from a garage sale.....
*
This little beauty is added 'cause...
One....she has RED in her hair and on her little precious feet....
*
Two....I have MORE THAN THREE....*grinning
*
and three....She can be a 2ND TIME AROUND girl since she is my daughter's daughter...
and MY granddaughter !!
***
NOW....how's that for milking it to get THREE memes in !!?

FOR SOME REASON, I can not get into Diane, A Pic. Is Worth A Thousand Words, to link up. I keep getting a window that says "Can not 'something', Will Abort"
What's with THAT ?? I'll try again tomorrow morning....

Stacey said...

BJ, your bedroom is gorgeous. I wish you were here to help me hang some things on the wall. I just got some new mirrors and everytime I add things to the wall it feels like too much. Truth is that I have far less than most people.

I've had that abort message before. I think it's a blogger/internet explorer issue. Try again later.

BJ,

Your grandchildren are adorable, and shame on you for using that sweet little baby to get your Ruby Tuesday in!!

Your bed looks so comfy!! I love a well made bed that looks inviting. I try to do that with all my bedrooms. When I see a bedroom with snuggly quilts, blankets and pillows, I know they must be a little like me. I love all your quilts and I like how you have your mother's quilt displayed in the dining room~it's beautiful!

Have a great week, BJ!! :-)

xoxo

Great post BJ!!

Love all your reds.
My faves are the top quilt on your bed, lovin' that.
and of course your last red. Being a red head and a grandma, I am a bit partial to those sorts myself.

thanks for coming by.

Good morning, BJ. Girl, you were very creative with this post. You covered all bases, and it is great.

I love all of your pretties - granddaughters, quilts and figurines.

Now you know I'm mad about quilts. I've started to buy that one from JC Penneys several times, but I have one quite similar to it I bought from Dillards a few years ago. I'd still love to have it. The one your mother made is a REAL treasure. Mostly the ones I've made have not been as fancy. I'm a "squares and simple" girl myself for the most part, though I did make a Dresden quilt and other patterns. Your granddaughter is very cute. If you need help decoupaging a door/table top, just give me a holler!

What a sweet post, BJ! Especially that last little bit, in the red bow!!

I changed to Mozilla Firefox and haven't had a problem getting into blogs since then. I think that's become a popular solution to the problem. I couldn't get in or got the same message you did, when I used Internet Explorer.

I love red! And that baby is just too darn adorable.

Oh, I switched to Mozilla browser too, and have had zero problems loading blogs.
