"SUMMER TIME....6/11/09

I WANTED TO ADD:
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BROOKS...
IT'S HIS 16TH...
WOO HOONESS....
WE LOVE YOU SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH, BROOKSER...
TWO GREAT EVENTS....
*

PLEASE be sure to stop by THE PORCH.....
SUSAN is our hostess for TABLE SCAPE THURSDAY
and
THEN, tie your napkin around your neck and stop over at
MICHAEL LEE'S aka DESIGNS BY GOLLUM,
for some of the tastiest foods EVER !!
*

I'm having a summertime luncheon for ONE...
and that ONE is YOU !
*
I've set the patio table with a
bright yellow place mat...
and, did you notice the cute little RED banded
SALT AND PEPPER SET ?
*
and, for me....that yellow just calls for RED !
RED plate, RED flatware....
LET'S JUST FACE IT...IT'S A KNOWN FACT THAT....
I ADORE RED !!!!
*
I made a luscious, cold, crisp
CHEF SALAD
for you today....
there's a stick of low-cal STRING CHEESE to go with it...
and TEXAS TOAST GARLIC CROUTONS...(i am totally in love with croutons)
O.....
and way over there on the left side....do you see them?
Two little, toasted just right, PIG IN THE BLANKETS...
(i am also totally in love with little, tiny
Pig in the Blankets)
*

O, YES....I know what you have been waiting for...
YOU WANT CHOCOLATE...!!
Right ??
DIXIE GIRL...do you see my lemons?
Dixie of
says that she and I are LEMON SNOBS 'cause we
SLICE our lemons...never wedge them !!
;O)
*

Well, first is your drink of ICE WATER with lemon, sliced FRENCH LIQUE STYLE...
and, I am even sharing a GRANDCHILDREN drink with you..
WILD CHERRY !!!!
now...I don't know ....but they SAY... this is just about the best drink in town !!
* and, they SAY that
a CHOCOLATE BROWNIE with added extra CHOCOLATE CHIPS
AND plenty of chopped pecans
is, indeed, about the BEST dessert around...
couple it with fresh RED grapes, topped with WHIPPED CREME...and
A BRIGHT RED CHERRY,
and you have yourself a WINNER, for sure...!
*
As far as i can tell, the ONLY thing that would
add MAGIC to this
summery luncheon on the SWEET NOTHINGS patio would be......
*
*
A SWIMMING POOL !!!

Hi bj...
I am not on facebook that I am aware of. I joined the twitter thing and found it totally a loss for me. I didn't get it..and am really more into blogging which is about all I usually do. My grandchildren and some of my children are on facebook I think..but not me. I am wondering if I am still on it from going to look at family photo's that were posted. I have a hard time with some of my children about facebook AND about blogging. They disapprove of me doing it..and have gotten on me about posting photo's of the grands or of them...
It's been difficult. So..I took myself off facebook and stick to blogging. Even that has become somewhat of a problem of late. They think it puts me in danger...and them I guess. :)
At this age...LOL..what could they do...kill me? LOL Sorry...it just struck me funny.
Hugs..
