and ICED OATMEAL COOKIES...
Hope you like the Cherry drink..it's SUGAR FREE CRYSTAL LIGHT !!

This cute GIANT CUP planter is from WalMart... so cute!
I just popped in a pot of RED to decorate YOUR snack table...

I just yesterday planted this STAR OF JASMINE...
O, I hope it lives...it's a climber and I would LOVE
it to climb the old picket fence behind it....
I think they smell really sweet, too.....
*
Let's go around front so I can show off my
hard work so far this summer....
not a lot that others would notice so much but....
it sure makes MR. SWEET and I feel good about our humble, little cottage...
*
New slats and a fresh coat of COTTAGE WHITE
makes our little vintage bench look all dressed up for the season...
*

My brand new porch swing that Mr. Sweet so sweetly bought for me...
Thanks, sweetie...I just love it !
"sweet, sweet, sweet"...gettin' pretty sticky here..;>)
*
i want to plant these in the ground so bad but i'm scared...
so hot, dry, windy here in West Texas...would they survive, i wonder?
*
Kathy girl brought these to me the other day...
i am in love with that little RED vase !
Love the yellows in it, too...
one of my favorite color combos..

Hi BJ - Thanks for your sweet comments! I can't believe I'm first to comment! I love your home, and I've been wanting one of those porch swings. I may have to put one out in the yard however. You have such a lovely family and some very purty grandkids there.
I was reading back about the trip to Paris and it was all so clever, and I loved the pictures! Lots of beautiful things to gaze at on your blog! You take care and have a wonderful week! Vickie

Hi Bj.
I love your porch and that swing with the black and white fabric is wonderful. All your details are so special. I lived in West Texas for 7 years and it was hot and dry. Not sure how the hydrangeas would do.
The treats and food look so yummy.
I have so enjoyed my visit to your lovely blog. Thank you for a special porch party. I invite you to visit mine when you have a moment.
Blessings, Celestina Marie

Hi BJ!! Your place looks so cozy and relaxing!! I love all of your pops of red, too! What I wouldn't give to have a great swing like the one Mr. Sweet gave you---and I love the spruced up bench, too.

NOW, that food you prepared is a feast!! I think I will have to rest a bit before I continue my porch visits--I'm stuffed!

Hope you have fun at the Porch Parties---I certainly did at YOURS!! L, Dana

Hi BJ,
I love your porch! You always have everything so artfullly arranged!

That little teacup planter is too cute!

Oh, Jean, I see you found your fern for your front porch without my help after all. Looks mighty spiffy hanging there too. Just love those gorgeous "teacup" flowerpots. Some really brainy person thought that up I'll bet. Your patio, porch and yards all just look so pretty. You and Mr. Sweet Nothings have really been working. When you get through there you can come on over to my humble little cottage and fix up the yard so it looks pretty like that. I'd even fix you a whole pitcher of good cold iced tea! Might even make it a bit sweet just for you. Enjoyed your blog today as always.

Love you!
Martha

Nothing like a porch swing, where you can swing away and create your own breeze. Bet you appreciate that in West Texas!!! Your whole front and back yards are charming. Sally

Cass @ That Old House said...

Hi BJ ... thanks for visiting That Old House, and your kind words on our old peeling porch! We pretty much DID give everything we have to get this house, lol. :-)

I love your porch and how it's decorated ... so fresh and CLEAN and the colors -- reds and yellows, fantastic. I am really in love with that big coffee cup -- that about sums me up: "loves coffee and flowers!"

Let us know if those upside down tomato things work. They fascinate me. I keep thinking that 'long about the end of July the whole mess will come plopping right down out of the holder, but I hope you have great success with it!

Great post, thanks!
Cass
