RUBY RED and 2ND TIME AROUND TUESDAY

This is my first RUBY TUESDAY
but I am not sure WHY !
I should have been playing along because
I HAVE A LOT OF RED AT SWEET NOTHINGS COTTAGE.....
Be sure to go over to WORK OF THE POET and visit her
and all the ones she will have on her MR. LINKY....
BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER gave her daddy
this bright RED popcorn bowl and, boy, does he like it....A LOT.
*
When he gets to the bottom of the bowl,
he finds this message....EVERY SINGLE TIME !
;o)

************************************************************

I AM SO HAPPY TO BE PLAYING IN THE
2ND TIME AROUND TUESDAY
fun day that is hosted by our sweet DIANE ..
She is bound to have something FABULOUS
to share with us and she also has the list posted
of all the wonderful treasures others are wanting to share with us.
and
THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY MY PLACE....
*
*
*
Today, I would like to show off my little
VINTAGE WOODEN STEP-LADDER..
*
This little ladder I rescued from our DUMPSTER...
Oh, it had a little broken step....
but I loved it anyway !
and it was all dark, and gray and paint splattered...
CLEARLY showing what it's use was the 1ST TIME AROUND...
and I loved it anyway...
WHY would someone THROW AWAY such a cute little thing....??
*
(you do recognize the little bunny towel from KARI&KIJSA...)
i LOVE that little bunny.....
he, along with his PILLOW BROTHER, has hopped around
all over this cottage...been in many rooms and they both
look GREAT anywhere they are used!
*
When it's opened up.....
just take a look at the ADORABLE little shelf..
that in it'self would be reason enuf to KEEP it,
don't you think ??
*
A PERFECT place to sit a pot of RED GERANIUMS....
or a pot of PURPLE PANSIES.....
*
I sure wish I could paint and I would have handpainted this
little cutie...as it is...those cute little rub-on
decals look pretty cute on this yellow washed ladder now....
(i also wish i could get my font back to a normal size!!)
*

(why did my font get so big and then....small again??)
*
I love even the silver colored thingys that hold
it all together...
Mr. Sweet looks at it, at times, and shakes his head.....
MEN.....they just don't get it !
Beauty REALLY IS in the EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, I guess....
SHEILA, did you know that you CAN love a little

wooden step-ladder with a broken step ??
YOU CAN !!
;O)

I love your ladder makeover! I can only imagine what it looked like before lol

Now...if your wanting to fix your post (the size of your font) you can go back and use your edit button and highlight the section you want smaller and then go to the "Tt" in the box above your text area and change it. The reason it stayed big-- you didn't break the link when you went larger in your text :-)

LOL...ladder...stepppin up......

Good morning, sweet BJ. I stopped by for just a minute as I head off to work.

Your ladder is great, and my husband would love a popcorn bowl like that, too.

Life is still too hectic, but we're still hopeful. I take my mother back to the doctor this Friday.

Oh my sweet little Jean, how like you to drag an old ladder with a broken step out of the dumpster and make it look like a million dollars! You just never cease to amaze me! That little bunny towel looks right at home hanging on that adorable little ladder. I do believe you could make a junkyard look good!

Love you dear friend!

Oh BJ that ladder is adorable! I have a vintage ladder that belonged to my hubby's grandma. I had it on my back porch, waiting for new plants when along comes the cable guy for a scheduled visit. You know that young man decided to try to use it and broke it! I didn't know it until he had left...my youngest watched him out the window but didn't tell me until he left. I've kept the pieces and now I am going to have to get it fixed! LOL!

Hugs,
Dena

That popcorn bowl is just too adorable...I'm like Mr. Sweet Nothings, I love my popcorn:-)

Omigosh, I love your little ladder and leave it to you to see so much possibility in a rundown ladder and make it such a wonderful work of art!! xoxo

RobinfromCA said...

The popcorn bowl is fun and I also love that bright red trivet in front of it! Your ladder is so cute and a great place to hang your bunny towel. I thought it was painted - you've given hope to a fellow non-artist!

I sympathize with the large font problem - I sometimes can't stop the underlining. And there's no button for that.
