SHE USED A LOT OF BLUE IN HER PAINTINGS...

BLUE MONDAY
2005
Oil on canvas, 90 x 70 cm
Non-objective (non-representational painting) by Eva Ryn Johannissen
*
BLUE MONDAY !!
hosted by Sweet SMILING SALLY
Please visit her pretty BLUE today and leave sweet words for her...
She has a growing list of other BLUES in the neighborhood for your BLUE fix for the day!
and.......THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY TO SEE ME.....
*
*
I am sharing a couple more of my mother's paintings...
*
"THE WINK"
I remember her painting this from a picture on the
back of a Reader's Digest....
She just clipped it on to her easel and drew it with pencil first...
then....she started filling it in with these glorious colors...
mixing the colors to get just the right shade is a HUGH
important part of painting I've been told...
*
Her painting looked better than the photograph !
*

"SIT AND REST"
*

I didn't have the pure pleasure to watch her paint this one.
My son loved it so much that he asked if she would paint
one just like it for him....
Of course, she did....
but somehow...it is different...a little difference in color...
in the bricks on the floor.... the sunlight reflected.....
she said you could NEVER paint two just alike as anything
HAND DONE
is a ONE OF A KIND and can never be completely copied.
*
Son's painting was just as pretty....just different.
I know you artists out there understand this.....
*
I have this painting just propped up...the frame it has been
in for years is not to my liking anymore so I am on the hunt
for just the right one...

BWAAAAA.....I WISH I COULD PAINT !!
XO bj
*
*
*
He's a HUNK.....

MR. CHUCK WOOLERY, GAME SHOW HOST..
and another that is more hunky on the INSIDE !
I love those kinda men !!
*

I LOVED THIS GAME SHOW HE HOSTED....
*
WHERE DID IT GO ?
XO bj

BJ, I love the texture in that first painting, but my fav is the one of the chairs. You're right, it is very peaceful. A scene like that could seem sad and empty, but she brought out the feeling of a peaceful place to relax.

Wow! Such amazing paintings! I wish I were good at that sort of thing!

Dear BJ
WHATTTTT your 71 really? I just re-read your profile. I don't believe you. You look fab.
Ok on to the paintings. So much talent. Artists are very special in my mind. My husband started painting when we lived in Wyoming. He would go downstairs with a good bottle of wine and in the morning there it was, a painting. Really good ones. Really.
As for my favorite? I would have to say the porch one. I have always wanted a porch like that.
Ok bed time.
Nice to see you again.
Love Claudie

Oh, Jean, your mother was so talented! Guess that means you can by it naturally, doesn't it? I love the picture with the bird winking. It is so sweet! How many of her pictures do you have? My mother drew "house plans" that would make an architect proud, but unfortunately I don't have any of them. Boo Hoo! Don't know what happened to them. They will give your children pleasure just remembering both you and their grandmother every time they look at them because they've seen how you cherish them now. Have a great week!

Love,
Martha
