ALICE and I have known each other since high school...
We have been through some of the most fun times you can imagine..
laughing and crying and just having so much fun...
We've also been through some bad and very very rough and tough times together...
We have always been there for each other and
I LOVE HER DEARLY....
*

Today, I received a package in the mail......
from ALICE...
A beautiful FRIEND card and
something all dressed in RED...
oh, honey...
*
PLACEMATS....and COASTERS to match !
and IN MY VERY COLORS !!
Oh, AL....I JUST LOVE THEM....
THANK YOU !!
*
You KNOW it took me about 3 minutes to start PLAYING with my new mats....
You are gonna see several settings and I just love them all...
So playful and pretty....
*
*
These pretty things are REVERSIBLE....
and don't ya know I LOVE
Black and White POLKA DOTS !!
yes, i do *
HAHA AHAH...do you see SPOTS before your eyes...
AWESOME!
*
The minute I saw those little yellow-centered flowers,
I knew my yellow flatware would be another fun thing to add...
Talk about cherry...uh, I mean CHEERY ! ;o)
*
AND....did I mention that ALICE....... my friend, ALICE,
MADE these beautiful placemats and coasters ??
she did !!
She can sew absolutely ANYTHING and is an
EXCELLENT QUILT MAKER..
*
Isn't a morning table, dressed so cheerful,
such a WONDERFUL way to start the day !!
*
I usually leave you with something GOOD TO EAT
or a GOOD LOOKING MAN and today, I could find neither..
SOOOO, here's a PICTURE out of a magazine for you to look at !!
;O)
*******************
ALICE, I know you are reading this...I want the whole world
to know how blessed I am to have you for a very best friend
for all these years.
You SO rock, sister friend !!
XO bj

I saw some plates at Dollar Tree the other day that would go perfect with these place mats. The plates were white with a black design on them...they would set such a pretty table.

Have a wonderful day...

bj, there is an Alice in my life too. Her name is Nedra. We are so fortunate that we have friends like them. She was with me when Patrick passed..and she flew out immediately when Frank died and stayed with me for a full month. I adore her. I just bought a gorgeous friendship pillow through a friend of Becky's on ebay and just sent it to her. It should be there on Friday. Then a beautiful card from her arrived ..so ~smile~ we are on the same wave lenth. Life without them ..is unthinkable, isn't it? :)
Loved your tablescape..and ..NO...I adored it!! :) Ok..that was a bit dramatic...but you get the idea.
Hugs..

bj, thank you for the great compliments! We are both blessed to be friends all these years. I know if I ever needed you, you'd come running. We were in Plainview on Saturday and rode around looking at the different places we lived, and it did absolutely nothing for me. It's been a long, long, long time ago but I treasure those times when we were teens. now that we're 'old', I treasure these times more. I love my best bud~~ Al

Bj, I replied a bit earlier on the wonderful tablescape, but I wanted to check back in and let you know I haven't heard anything on that pillow! I have now put it right next to my email address so that someone can find it more readily. I hope it works. I'm leaving it up there. I want to take a better pic of the pillow so it doesn't look so yellowed, and I will do that when I get back. Am traveling to the pillow's home tomorrow. ;-) I'm in a nutzoid state right now... insomnia plus lots of stuff coming up with a wedding. I will keep you posted if I hear anything, and if you want to post it, I can send a copy to you to put on your blog or just copy it from mine.

Love you...

XO,

Your neighbor :-)
