WHAT ?? MORE PINKS AROUND MY HOUSE ??

HAPPY NOVEMBER 1st....
photo from my MACKENZIE-CHILDS calendar

our thanks to BEVERLY at HOW SWEET THE SOUND for hosting such a
FUN PINK SATURDAY
you've just got to stop over there....there's more than one hundred
PINK postings....SHAZAM !!!!

****************************************************

now....i would dearly LOVE to be able to wear these classy
PINK BOOTS so i could look so, so COOL....
but...alas....
THESE
are as close as i'm gonna get...
and they are about as far from COOL as HOT is from COLD.... ;o)

but....here is a COOL little, tiny girl with a
PINK bow
on her little picture frame....
this sweetie g-girl is now 17 years old...
BOOOOO HOOOOO....

just a little thrifted heart, hanging in my bath....

pink metal roses on a perfume shelf in my bath

OUR SWEET PRAYER BALLOONS
going up to carry your prayers to GOD....

GOOD GRIEF...how did I miss all these PINKS....
just hanging around in my closet....
I had no idea I had that much PINK in there until
BEVERLY came into my life...tee hee
just a corner of a pillow that is soooo comfy to lie down with on the sofa to watch
old reruns of TWO AND A HALF MEN.....that CHARLIE SHEEN is the cutest...
MUCH cuter than his old daddy (that's about MY age!!) ;o(

just a picture of a picture and not a very good one, at that...
my two sweet kids and Mr. Sweet Nothings...
if i've shown this before...just ignore!! humor me!! i'm old!!

oooo, and isn't she pretty?
I have a couple of old CIGAR BOXES that belonged to my daddy...
i had forgotten that this lovely lady was on the inside lid of one of them.
Of course, when I found my boxes, it made me start missing my daddy even more.
I love having things that elonged to my parents...
I wish I had more that belonged to my grandparents...
this is one reason I try to give my grandchildren things along or at least give them to the parents to be given to the kids a little later...when they can have a place for them and appreciate the meaning of having things from the past....

*************************************************
I know October is over....but....my entire post is dedicated to all the ladies standing strong thru their
fight against BREAST CANCER....ANY cancer, really !!
I so love you all and pray for
A CURE !

love, bj

Hey BJ.. Your closet looks just like mine. Full of pink. I can't seem to go shopping for clothes without naturally being drawn to the color pink. I'm getting better and am starting to add more colors to my wardrobe, but pink will always and forever be my favorite. Great post today. Loved all your pictures.

It always amazes me how the smell or the feel of an object can bring back a vivid memory of the one who had first owned it. I love having things that belonged to my parents and my grandparents, and I love sharing the stories of these items with my grandchildren. Lovely "pink" post. laurie

I love this Pink Saturday post, BJ. I'd like to find a pair of pink boots, like yours, for Xanti. When we were at Bass Pro the other day, I bought her some pink and green cammo pj's, for Christmas. Your boots would be the finishing touch!

BJ,

Love that cigar box lady. I enjoy collecting those types of things.

I don't have too much that was my grandmothers. I have a couple of things that my great-grandfather gave me when I was a baby and some treasures from Grandma. Not much that was Dad's, but one small table that he made. I treasure it.

Take care, my friend and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Blessings,
Mary

I always love your pink days! That picture of you with your men is SO wonderful!

And I LOVE your slipper booties!

You don't think Martin Sheen is cute?? BJ! *laugh* I actua;ly had a crush on him for a long time. He grew up in a house next door to one of my best friend's Mom's home. I have seen him around here for years...at different things and even picking up his nephew from a school skating party. My Mom was his nephew's 3rd grade teacher. : )
But Charlie is cute on TAAHM too!

Sue
