for OCTOBER, BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

i found this precious, rose covered sugar bowl at my favorite
thrift store for only $2.00.....

Why do i just LOVE things made in England....?

I DO !

I really like this little sweet bowl with all the roses on it....
and not a chip one that I have found.....
why would someone get rid of it, i wonder??

'course, i love RED and i love LEOPARD and i love pillows so....
when i found two of these for $2.00 ea., i grabbed them and brought them home with me to SWEET NOTHINGS.....

one looks cute here, nestled behind my favorite of all pillows...
my bunny pillow by the sisters, KARI & KIJSA..
and sent to me by sweet KRISTINA...such a sweet and unexpected surprise..thank you again, Kristina...i do just love it.....

speaking of THE SISTERS....i picked up my Christmas Ideas magazine ....
you know....the one that has the ARTICLE on KIJSA and her STUNNING decorations and her STUNNING home !!!

if you've not already bought it, i just know you will really enjoy this publication...it has some outstanding ideas for Christmas!

AND...it is so neat to put a face to the sweet name, KIJSA.....

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart !

PEA loves kitties so when her sweet card had a kitten on it, i wasn't surprised...

AND, it is right at home in my black, white and red kitchen....
it will be so neat to have a pretty bottle to serve my olive oil in...
oh..............and did i tell you it was made in FRANCE ?
wonder why i just LOVE anything from FRANCE ?

i do !!

Hi BJ! I left you a message over at Christie's blog!! :)

.... and you know I love that sweet pink sugar bowl you found. I've painted my pink kitchen a cream color and have gone with black and white accessories for curtains and chair pads/covers and wanted you to know. I am in love with black and white toile now and I remember very well you posting a vignette "way back when" where you had black and white and silver and I just loved it. That began my stirrings for a change. Where you have red as an accent color, I have my pink! I guess I'll always love that color.

You have a blessed day sweetie!

Love the black and white cruet jar...I have several black and white objects in my kitchen (with a touch of sunflower thrown in for good measure)...so I am always on the lookout for black and white items too.

Hello dear BJ:-)

I'm just so happy that you liked my little surprise!! Ooooh, I love that rose covered sugar bowl you found at the thrift shop. When I find treasures like that, it also makes me wonder why anyone would want to be rid of it! I guess a lot of people aren't sentimental about keeping stuff like that...oh well, it's their loss and our gain:-) Love the pillows as well and it's perfect on that wicker chair where you put one of them. I've noticed that a lot of the Christmas magazines are now out and I'm really trying to be good and not buy every one of them! lol Won't be long now for the cruise...woohoo!!!! xoxo

Hi BJ, thanks so much for your sweet comment. I'm sorry the post was a bittersweet one... I didn't really know if I should publish it, it's very personal, but I think I needed to do it for me. I truly feel that having released it , sort of speaking, is going to help me. Geeze, you'd think by now I'd be over it... what I think has happened is that I have brushed it aside for most of my life and now it has come to bite my butt!.. Anyway, I am so fortunate to have sweet people like you that care. Thanks so much and GOSH..from now on..only happy stories on my blog!!! Have a funtastic time on your cruise, girl!

I have picked up this magazine, and all the pictures are wonderful. But I saw the one from 2007 earlier today, and the cover looks alot like this one. I wonder if it's the same little girl on the opposite side of the tree....Hmmmm. I think I need to be doing something meaningful! Happy cruise!
