PLATES OF BLUEBERRY PANCAKES......

BLUEBERRY PANCAKES

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
21/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter, plus some for frying
1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
May be served with whipped cream and maple syrup
************************************
Directions
In a large bowl sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Beat the eggs with the buttermilk and melted butter. Combine the dry and the wet ingredients into a lumpy batter, being careful not to over mix, see Cook's Note*.
Heat some butter in a skillet over medium heat. Spoon 1/3 cup of batter into the skillet and sprinkle the top with some of the blueberries. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
*Cook's Note: Over mixed batter will result in flat, heavy pancakes.

HELLO TO EVERYONE on this fabulous BLUE MONDAY
once again hosted by sweet SALLY at SMILING SALLY.....
There's going to be so much BLUE around here in Blogland,
those of us not already in LOVE with the magnificent color will forever be in such a
BLUE MOOD..oh, and this is a GOOD thing !!

Check it all outover At SMILING SALLY'S...
************
I am sharing a few MORE of my BLUE plates today...
BLUE PLATES to hold BLUEBERRY PANCAKES.....'o)
These divided plates are some of my FAVORITES...
they are from ENGLAND and I have 4 of them...
My mother had these as long as she could remember...her collection of them
started out as 8 but through the years and moving around a little, she ended up
with the four.
The FRENCH COC OF THE WALK....

LITTLE CHURCH IN THE WILD WOOD

FROM GERMANY....
I love the windmill design on this one...
and it is a LUSCIOUS shade of BLUE...
This is the only Blue Windmill piece I have from Holland...
It isn't vintage and I was a mighty silly girl to buy it off Ebay without knowing more
about it...I'll not do THAT again !!
Even though it isn't a vintage piece from Germany, I kept it because of the pretty
shade of BLUE but it is not among my favorites by a long shot.

I adore the BLUE AND WHITE
STATE plates...this one from TENNESSEE was found in a thrift store
about 6 years ago.

I love this one from ALEXANDRIA...
I bought it at a yard sale about 7 years ago...
I keep looking for more from other states in the BLUE AND WHITE
but I've not seen any in awhile.

Yep....a BLUEBERRY WAFFLE or a BLUEBERRY PANCAKE tastes just a little better on
BLUE AND WHITE.....

much love, bj

my PINK something for OCTOBER........
********************************************************

OH....and for your viewing pleasure......

OK, NOW....he DOES have BLUE eyes !!!

YES...he does!!

and did you see him in MUSIC AND LYRICS ?...is that the one where he shook the heck out of those hips ?? Oh, and 2 WEEKS NOTICE.....sooo cute!! hey......wait a minute isn't he the one that got caught with a hooker?

lol, yes, he IS the one who got caught with the hooker--lol.

When I first opened your post, I said aloud, "Oh, you've done me in!" I love blueberry pancakes, but I cannot have them very often. You were kind to give the recipe, but where oh where is the recipe for that syrup? You know, the syrup MAKES it.

I love all of the blue dishes. The ones that you don't much care for can be sent to me!

Happy Blue Monday.

Hi BJ -

Morning sweet BJ! I just had a few moments and wanted to let you know how very much I appreciate your prayers and concerns for my family during the hurricane. Only by the grace of God our home wasn't devastated! But He saw fit to keep it great for us. Did I tell you how blessed we are? We serve an aweome God.

I'll be back posting soon after I get a few more things done.

Oh, I don't want to be greedy or anything, but could I just have one blueberry pancake on one blue dish? ;)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi BJ,
I love your blue plates - I have some too and they are my favorite.

Yes, we are about the same age. Isn't this a wonderful age???

Scrapbooking - It is so much fun. Wish we lived in the same area - I'd show you all the ways to scrapbook your photos. It's a really fun hobby and makes your photo books so interesting. Maybe I should post about it someday. :)
If you go to CreativeMemories.com
it will tell you where a rep is is your area and you could get some ideas from her.

Why YES! That was him who was caught with a hooker, but we all forgave him when he admitted to "doing a very bad, bad thing!" Have you seen him in Notting Hill? Be still my heart!
Ooh the pancakes look so delicious!

Sort of makes him less cute when you know about the "hooker" thing huh? Especially since he could have gone home to Elizabeth...what a dummy! Love your blue as usual...I wonder if there is a whole collection of those blue & white state plates. You'd think there would be....but then where on earth would you put them all!
