I MAY HAVE TOLD YOU....OR....YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THAT
MY MIDDLE NAME IS "WANT"....
It seems every time I turn around, I am WANTING something.
Someone once told me that as I aged, my desire for THINGS would go away...are they kiddin' me ? Don't you believe it for a minute !!!
Right now...I AM WANTING A FARM HOUSE SINK for my RED kitchen...
I LOVE 'EM !!
*

Just take a look at THESE twin beauties...only thing that could be better than a FARM HOUSE SINK is.....TWINS !

I love the looks of this...adds that much sought after element we all just LOVE...
CHARM .....
*
Liking the looks of this one, too. .....I may just have to remove the doors beneath MY Farm House Sink, too....if I ever get one.
My present sink is over 25 years old so I am thinking I might be next in line for that new, charming SINK....
i mean...some ladies are in line for a PRINCE CHARMING....
all i want is a CHARMING SINK....
*heavy duty sigh

There must be all kinds of Farm House sinks...this one looks fabulous for the more rustic look....
I could be rustic !!!! I can be most ANYTHING if it will get me a new sink...

I do, however, really, REALLY want a nice WHITE.....

So so at home in a fancy kitchen, too....

looking good in this farm house kitchen with the farm house table and the
farm house sink....

I WANT HER FARMHOUSE SINK and....her rooster !!

Ummmm, this is a lovely FRENCH kitchen....what is it about this kitchen that makes me think of the countryside of FRANCE ? and...they have Farm House sinks there...
who knew ?
(the kitchen is probably in the Bronx ....tee hee)

Well, i'm just totally in love with it...
SHEILA, you dear girl, you thought YOU were the only one that could fall madly in love with an OBJECT....nope...I am THE MASTER OF OBJECT LOVE....
as good as you are, sweetie, i can probably teach you something!!

See how good that white, porcelain apron looks against the darkness of the wood..
The sinks are made with every type kitchen in mind, I'm pretty sure...

See...a farm house sink looks good with wooden floors, too...

OK, let's hear three cheers for a good, ole, FARM HOUSE SINK....

BJ, you're so cute ... lol

I, too, love farm house sinks. As your pictures show, they seem to go with any style decor and I can just see one in your pretty red kitchen. Perhaps Santa will see this post!

Sincerely,

Janie

BJ I want a farmhouse sink too, AND wood floor in my kitchen!! I drive my family crazy saying "I want" constantly, no you never stop wanting! We may run out of room for all our "wants" but thats ok too! Have a great day sweetie! Oh I posted my day yesterday thanks to your suggestions! xoxo

Yupper we "WANT" girls must all be related... I am always wanting and you know there is no room for anything in good old Tassie... Love the Twins they are awesome... The Farmhouse sink must be every womans dream since it is so BIG... When we do get a house It'll be a HUGE country kitchen surrounded by the other rooms... The kitchen is the heart of the home... Since I love cooking and adore every gadget that goes with it I must have a BIG one... with a great room for entertaining... Have a fun day!!!

Okay, you've convinced me that you really want and should have a farmhouse sink. Where do we send the money? ;-)

I love these creamy farmhouse sinks too. 20 years ago when we remodeled the kitchen my husband lobbied for a stainless steel sink. I have hated it all these years. The next remodel, I get a pretty farmhouse sink!

Go farmhouse sink!

My dad is redoing a 100 year old house right now. I begged him to get a farmhouse sink when he was doing the kitchen. They were much more expensive.

The nice white normal sink he has now is OK but the farmhouse sink would have been so much better.

I want one too!!

Morning BJness!! Oh, I love these sinks, too! I want one, too, but Mr. Precious doesn't seem to like them!! I think you need one, and yes'em, I'm sure you could teach me a thing or two about the 'can you love things" syndrone! I knew we were connected by the heart - loveing and wanting and wanting and loving. We need to always have a dream, don't cha think? I hope you get this sink soon, so I can show Mr. Precious and say, "See, real people have this sort of sink!!" Now, you get out there and buy one!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Three cheers for a farmhouse sink. Remember that old farm house I shared with my Aunt's Victorian blue house. That old house had the original farm house sink. It was BIG and so useful when you are cleaning garden veggies.

I have a bad case of 'I WANT' too. Such is life in the real world. We do need something to 'want' to keep us going BJ. Dreams do come true sooner than later sometimes. LOL Love your photos.

Hugs...Jeanne

Wow, I had no idea there were so many kinds of Farm House sinks, they are pretty and I do hope you get one. Now, I have a confession to make, the kitchen is my least favorite room in the house. My hubby says if he wants to hide something from me, he puts it in the oven. :)

Love Ya,
Chris

I would live to come to your kitchen- farm sink or not. It's lovely to meet you.

Connie said...

Tell ya what, my little chickadee, you take the farmhouse sink and I'll take the rooster. That way it'll save me the trouble of coming to your house and stealing it from ya! Now, you don't want to get all your emotions all centered on him and then have him disappear, would ya, honey?!?! Hmmmmmm, it's save a lot of grief and travel time for me. Whadda ya say, cherub?!?! Deal????? Hmmmmmmm????? ;-)
Smooches,
Connie

Hi... Thanks for coming by... Yes we have lived in Tassie and the other mobile mansion for 5 years now... We have always loved it because we can move to where ever we want whenever we want... and if we don't like an area or neighbors we just pull up the jacks and roll on to a new adventure... I have never looked back on our decision nor missed my home (since oldest daughter bought it and we visit it all the time) HOWEVER with all you ladies posting about your homes it sometimes creeps in my mine... (BUY A HOME!!!) well we hope to do this lifestyle for another 5 years and then we'll get a home... so please do go to my older post about Tassie... and see what I live in...

Hi Bj,
I've really admired these sinks for a long time. So darn cool and so big. I love a sink you can fit a whole cookie sheet in or a turkey roaster in!! :0)
Here's my question, though. They seem so low...Has anyone talked about how your back might ache after bending over to wash your dishes in it?

SmilingSally said...

LOL I think I know what you're getting for Christmas! How? Oh, a little birdie told me.

Neabear said...

I love farm house sinks too. Why can't the menfolk understand why the womenfolk love farmhouse sinks? I noticed from your comments that a few women got talked out of them by their hubby or some other manfolk building or remodeling the kitchen.

Hi BJ...darn it, now you've got my "wanter" a dangling too! Haha, but it's kind of like wish in one hand and _____ in the other...oh well, I can dream! Luv ya, Bo

The one in the second to last picture is FABULOUS! That is the one I want!! :D

Yes, I could also love a farmhouse sink. I especially like the one with the farmhouse table. Yes, I keep waiting for my wants to diminish with age. It just isn't happening!! Sally

I have the vintage farm house sink out of my Dad's house, looks similar to the next to last picture you posted, even have the legs for it but alas I can't talk my husband into putting it in the kitchen so, he just doesn't like it a bit so it just sits being stored.
I hope you get your sink.

Give lots of hints to the grandkids and be sure to have that "How did you know?" look on your face when you open it up Christmas morning!!! Other wise grin and bear the 50th Christmas tree sweater that will join the other 49!! Seriously if all the kids pitched in it wouldn't break the bank and I'm sure they would love to know what to get you. So...start dropping some hints to those grandkids and good luck.

And yes a farm house sink goes with everything. They are beautiful and will last a lifetime.

What great pictures you've shared of these farm house sinks! The kitchens all looked so cozy, I especially would like the one with the long wood table in the middle of the room. Although it may be too big for our family of 3... Still, it looks great! :)

BJ,

I also love farm house sinks and want one for my kitchen when I redo it. I want wainscotting as well. So, maybe next year as we've just finished renovating the upstairs apartment and we are tired after 5 months of working on it.

Your card for S arrived last week. I'm sorry that I haven't had time to let you know. I've been really busy with Aunt May.

Thanks for your prayers, love and support during this difficult time and thank you too for the card for S.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi BJ,

I hope you get your farm house sink soon. You deserve one after having the same one for 25 years.

I haven't seen one of these in years. My Mom and Dad had one in their home before it was sold about 10 years ago and torn down to build apartments for college students. So, I enjoyed seeing the pictures you have shown today.
