A BEAUTIFUL OCTOBER...

HAPPY OCTOBER....
This is from my MACKENZIE-CHILDS calendar...
I love this calender...every month has the most luscious photos...

YES......IT'S OCTOBER
and BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH......

I've taken the pledge, along with BABY VAGABOND, to post something PINK in my every day posting to remind all of us of the FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER...
I would love for YOU to join us, PLEASE !
I got so excited when the ladies announced they were doing this,
I started posting PINK right away and THEN remembered it was still
SEPTEMBER !! :O)

my PINK something for OCTOBER
*******************************************
I had just baked these luscious ORANGE cinnamon rolls ...

grabbed a couple with a cup of sweet coffee....

when at 10 til 10, the door bell rings.........
i'm still in my gown now so i am not really wanting to answer that BELL ...
but, I DID....
AND SURE GLAD I DID...
this was sitting in my PORCH SWING and
I AM EXCITED .......

I notice it is my package from
PENNY at LAVENDER HILL STUDIO.......
OOOOOO, remember.....I WON HER FABULOUS GIVEAWAY a couple of weeks ago...
My choice of a CROSS or a HEART
and I chose the CROSS.....
I was very blessed indeed to win this fabulous giveaway....I still can't believe it !
*******
BUT....it looks like another little treasure tucked into this BOX OF GOODIES.....

This is the most PRECIOUS, HANDMADE CARD I've ever seen.....
and all this beautiful LAVENDER PAPER and RIBBONS...the pretty ribbon has
LAVENDER HILL STUDIO on it....*sigh...I just LOVE it.....
everything is just so PRETTY....
and SOMETHING is smelling sooooo good....
UMMMMMM...OF COURSE! It's a generous bar of
PENNY'S LAVENDER SOAP....
I ran put it in my bath and the whole bthroom smells like LAVENDER FIELDS...
I LOVE IT, PENNY....THANK YOU for this special little surprise.....

Opening the bigger package now...
I can see the back side of the CROSS thru the bubble wrap...
(By the way, Penny...thank you for wrapping everything so well...it all arrived in PERFECT CONDITION !)

ooooo, BLUE AND WHITE......
tearing off that bubble wrap pretty fast by now !

ooooo, isn't this the most dreamy thing you've ever seen!!
PENNY, thank you!

The very first thing I looked for was PENNY'S signature
BUTTERFLY that she incorporates into every piece of her art...
and there it is...right on the top !!

You can see where PENNY took her inspiration for this piece from...
and, oh, it is going to look so GRAND in my dining room with all the other
BLUE AND WHITE....

Here's a nice, closeup view for you to see the fabulous PENNY workmanship .....

I DO LOVE MY CROSS SO MUCH.....
AGAIN, many thanks to you, PENNY, for giving me the chance to own one of your lovely works of art. I have wanted a piece, as I know a lot of other ladies would kill for something from
LAVENDER HILLS STUDIO,
for a long time.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, PENNY.
AS YOU SAY, "SEE YOU SOON", MY FRIEND

love, bj

Perfection! I know how exciting that package arriving on your doorstep must have been:>) One of the greatest things about Penny is that she seems to have a sixth sense of just what to make that fits in so perfectly with the style of whomever she is making the piece for. It looks fantastic in your dining room, and aren't these handmade items just the sweetest reminder of special friends?! I loved my soap too, it smells so heavenly:>)I will join you in the pink challenge for October. I don't have much pink in my home and I don't post every day, but every post will have some pink. One of my co-workers was just diagnosed with breast cancer. It is very early stages and the prognosis is very good, but it is such a shock. We need to beat this!

BJ, I am so happy you have one of Penny's treasures. She does such beautiful work. You lucky girl. the card is thoughtfully beautiful too.
What a nice way to brighten your day. With all this stock market mess, we need something to lighten our mood. As for me I am listening to the music from Mamma Mia. It is just the thing to perk me up today.

I am going pink for Oct. as well.

Love...Jeanne

Oh I just love that cross! I knew Penny would come up with something fabulous!

I'm so far behind on blog visits. I enjoyed your Blue Monday post and yesterday's post, too! I might try that salad as I am eating lighter these days. I tried your Asian slaw that you posted a couple months back and have made it several times since then. It's my new favorite!
