MOVIE STARS LOOK 'PRETTY IN PINK'

GOOD-BYE, MR. NEWMAN...
we'll miss you.
*********************************************

*******************

PRAYERS ATTACHED TO THE BALLOONS
FOR ALL ON OUR PRAYER LISTS....
i include the NIELSONS, our sweet DEENA, the residents of the GULF COAST...a lot of them are still without ELECTRICITY..
***************************************
MANY THANKS TO
BEVERLY, our hostess once again for another fun filled
PINK SATURDAY..
be sure to go over and take a peek at all the other PINKS being shown this week.

THANK YOU, BEVERLY !
****************

ONE of my favorite, old movies....and now all the granddaughters LOVE it !!
MOLLY RINGWALD was the CUTEST teenager !!
and did you see her in
16 CANDLES ?? OH, and THE BREAKFAST CLUB ?
both just precious !

"GLENDA'S COMING...in her PINK balloon...
to save all of OZ ..
when my kids were little, if we saw this movie ONCE...
we saw it 9,000 times !!

BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER grew up wanting those sparkly, red slippers!!

Do you HAVE to be a movie star to get
PINK BUBBLES ??
and have a PINK phone ?...in the bathtub.....
YEP, I am pretty sure you do!!

MILEY CYRUS always looks cute but...
I'D rather see her DAD !!!! ;o)
i mean, REALLY....
BILLY RAY is a cutie and I took 2 grandchildren to see him when he appeared in concert here in our town....back when his song "ACHEY BREAKY HEART" was so hot...(about 15 yrs. ago)
They were so impressed !! And, I scored BIG TIME points!!

YEP...she makes PINK look good...
who the heck is she ?

Not sure there's EVER been anyone else as beautiful and soft looking as
MARILYN...
probably never will be another one just like her, either.

Bless her heart.....

I like her little, short, PINK jacket but....
it's the HAIR that catches MY attention!
to*die*for !!

She was a beauty and couldn't act her way out of a paper bag...
But EVERYONE "back then" just loved the very heck out of her !
especially JOE...
She goes shopping in HIGH HEELS ?????
I'm impressed...

Not many of you will remember
JAYNE MANSFIELD..
a star
from the 50's and 60's....
She was a beautiful lady, had some hit movies and did Broadway plays...
her career was short-lived as
she died in an automobile accident while in her early 30's....

***************

Little SHIRLEY TEMPLE.....
what a cutie !
If you want to watch a cute, light and funny movie sometime, rent one of hers !!
She will blow you away with her incredible talents.SHE was such a popular little girl so full of talents and had such sweet and funny movies that someone named a DRINK after her....
Of course the drink named for the BIGGEST CHILD STAR IN HISTORY contains no alcohol.

Shirley Temple sang, danced and smiled he way into hearts during the Great Depression in movies such as Bright Eyes and Stand Up And Cheer. She was awarded a miniature Oscar and later became a notable politician and diplomat.

Ingredients for a SHIRLY TEMPLE...
3 oz lemon-lime soda
3 oz ginger ale
1 dash grenadine
maraschino cherry for garnish
Preparation:
Pour the lemon-lime soda and ginger ale into a pretty glass with ice cubes.
Add a dash of grenadine.
Stir.
Garnish with the cherry.

*******************
I KNOW...I KNOW.......... and....
I don't give a flyin' flip that there is not a speck of PINK here...
just thought you might want to look at something
soooooo gooood !!!
I mean, LOOK at him, ladies....he is sooo HOT...
OK....if you MUST have PINK........ !!!!!
SHEEEZE !!!

****************************************************************

HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND......
and be sure to stop by BEVERLY'S to see MORE PINK....
much love,
bj

I loved all of the photos you selected---especially the "good witch"! Well, truthfully, I like the one of Harrison the best, but just don't let my husband know I said that! 15. Me again, BJ...I just remembered a story HARRISON FORD told on TV. Right after his young girlfriend, Calista Flockhart) adopted her baby, she asked him to stop on his way over to pick up some diapers. Begrudgingly he agreed, but hates public places (because of all the autograph hounds presumably)...anyway, as soon as he entered the store he asked a stock boy for directions and the boy took him to the Depends aisle! How funny... ;-) Bo

  16. Whoo hoo, such wonderful pinkness!! I have to disagree with you on Marilyn not being able to act, though - she really had a talent. I love her in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, but watch Bus Stop sometime - the girl is great!!

Thanks for the wonderful tour of beautiful pinkness!

  25. Now BJ, If you would have put on some hot pink lipstick and kissed that picture of Harrison Ford, THEN there would have been PINK! The lovely lady in the pink nightie type dress I believe is Jennifer Conley who is married to the dashing Englishman Paul Bettany. Have ou ever seen a movie called "A Knights Tale"? The first movie I ever saw him in and I fell in love.
    Have a fun Pink Weekend!

I have got to say the one that means the most to me is Shirley Temple. I just loved watching her movies. We used to come home from church on Sundays and while my great grandmother cooked her big Sunday meal we would watch Shirley Temple on T.V. I think I still cry when I see some of them.

I remember Jayne Mansfield...she died in Mississippi on highway 90....I think they were either going or coming from New Orleans and she was performing in a night club.

I miss my mom still and she has been gone over twenty years. I remember your beautiful post about your mom and it struck me how your mom was so much like mine. The same type of personality. No wonder I feel a connection to you. It's our moms, we were raised with the same values. Smile! Aren't we the lucky ones?
